The absolute best thing about Greensand House is the staff, they are so amazing. They know my mum so well. Mum is well cared for, fed well and entertained. Her room is always spotless. I live a long way away and for me the social media updates are so important, every time there is a post I always scan
to find Mum and I cannot put into words the joy I feel when I see her in the pictures.

My mum has been at Greensand House for about 15 months and I can't praise the care she receives highly enough. The care staff are attentive and friendly and always professional. Likewise those on reception. Well done to all. I have no experience of other care homes but this is what they should all be
like.

From our initial contact, to mum visiting, having respite care to moving in, they were all wonderfully kind & helpful. The care, kindness and friendship given by all the carers is exceptional. Mum enjoys the food, an important part of the day. However, they appear to be very understaffed which means
requests can take far longer than expected. Unfortunately, on several occasions meals have been delivered late so they are not very warm and a couple of times not arrived. However, the staff work very hard and try to do everything in a timely manner, it's just they need more of them.

I am very happy with the staff that work here. They are happy and smile when they see you. They are all good at what they do. My mum is very happy living here. Also a lot fo the staff have come from Branfield where my mum was before coming here so she knows a lot of them by name and they know my mum.

Mum very well looked after for the last 6 months. Would like her hearing aids to be charged every morning and not lost! The toilet area needs cleaning every day as was smelling last week.

My first impression of Greensand House when I entered to enquire about a respite stay was a bright, airy, clean and immaculately decorated place reminiscent of a 4-star hotel. A peaceful, calm, happy and friendly place to be. I found it was so much more when I finally arrived for my respite stay. I
was made to feel special and I was quickly settled into a garden-view room. As staff change over time, carers pop their head around your door and introduce themselves. Call buttons are answered quickly. Anything requiring fixing in the room is dealt with quickly. There is an excellent menu choice and the chef willingly makes adjustments to individual needs. Excellent variety of activities are provided. I highly recommend this hone. I was sad to leave. I have no hesitation going if I need care again.

From arriving at Greensand House the staff are so welcoming and I always enjoy my visits (3-4 times a week). Activities are greatly improving and are fun for residents and visitors. The building is new, clean, bright, friendly and warm. Wonderful homely environment with lots of smiles.

This place is amazing. My grandpa had a long stay in the hospital and needed respite care before returning home.
He was so well cared for he's like a different man, he has been well looked after and well nourished. He particularly commented on how nice the food was and how friendly the chef is and
he also loved the activities and watching strictly in the cinema room! The whole home is kept clean and tidy, all staff were always happy to help and clearly love their job.
A huge weight was lifted off my family's shoulders while my grandpa was in your care and I know he will be back when needed.
We would not hesitate to recommend it to others especially to get you back on your feet after a hospital stay.
Thank you to all of the Greensands team, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

The staff are friendly and helpful and very welcoming to residents and relatives and visitors. It would be helpful for relatives to meet the key worker so we know who to speak to with any care concerns.

It was a very hard decision to place my mother in care as she has always been very independent. From the very first moment we visited Greensand House, we got a very good feeling, which made this difficult a little bit easier. My mum has been at Greensand since the end of January and I can not fault
this care home, every member of staff is absolutely wonderful. They treat all the residents with love, care and respect in a way that I have never seen in other care homes. I can't thank all the members of staff and management enough for the care you give to my mum, you are all the nicest caring people I could ever wish to meet and take caring to another level. Mum has been looked after in a most caring, kind, friendly, professional and efficient manner, since being admitted to Greensand. There are plenty of activities, something is always going on and where appropriate is made to be engaging and fun. The care staff and chef are wonderful. The manager has
been a godsend, one member of staff in particular on reception is always on hand to help, her knowledge on all my queries is outstanding and she sings round the piano!
Would recommend to everyone seeking residential and respite care.

After a long spell in hospital following a stroke it was very important for us, to get Mum in a care home that doesn't 'feel' like a care home. Greensand has a lovely luxurious feel to it and we're pleased that she now seems settled. There is a good variety of activities although it would be better
if the top floor could be included in all of them. Some of the care staff are really lovely and take the time to get to know the residents to understand them so they can better meet their needs with dignity.

I felt very welcomed by friendly staff. My room was spacious, comfortable and had plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space for my belongings. The Avery staff throughout the day and night were kind and helpful, and they listened to my various comments. There was an excellent chef providing delicious meals.
The pharmacy staff were very good and went out of their way to make sure I had the correct drugs for each day. The outside grounds are very peaceful and I could view plants and trees from my window. I would very much recommend Greensand House Care Home for short respite care or longer term.

My name is Hannah and I am the Deputy Manager and in-house trainer here at Greensand House.


I have been in the care sector for 10 years now and have loved every minute of it. I believe having compassion and empathy is very important within my job role. I started working with Avery in 2023 and have felt so proud to work with my team at Greensand House. As the Residential Care Manager, I ensure that all care staff are supported within their roles whilst ensuring our residents are receiving high-quality care. I also work very closely with the Team Leaders and assist with all aspects of the care sector including care plans, medication management, reviews, audits and much more. As the in-house trainer, I ensure all staff are fully trained with up-to-date information and knowledge to carry out their job roles effectively.

Boudjemaa Ould-Ameur

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2022

My name is Boudjemaa Ould-Ameur and I am the Head Chef at Greensand House Care Home.


With over 30 years of experience in the catering industry, I decided to move into the care sector with the opening of Greensand House in 2022. Having previously worked in various positions in London and Surrey, including Junior Sous Chef at the Dorchester Hotel, Second Chef at Rolls-Royce Headquarters, and Head Chef at a number of restaurants and gastro pubs, I knew I would enjoy cooking in the care industry.


At Greensand House I am dedicated to providing the best quality catering, and enjoy tailoring my menus to the tastes and requirements of all our Greensand residents. Drawing on my previous experience as a dietary and nutrition chef at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and Charring Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, I create nutritious meals presented to the highest quality.


You won’t just find me in the kitchen though, one of my favourite aspects of my role is the interaction with all our residents and making them smile. I look forward to welcoming (and feeding!) many more residents at Greensand House.

I have been the Head Housekeeper at Greensand House since August 2022 and previously worked as an assistant housekeeper in a care home environment so have gained valuable knowledge over the last 7 years.


We have a fantastic housekeeping team with many years of experience, not only in Housekeeping but also care. They are a proactive, fun team and have already received much praise for their work.


On a personal note, I absolutely love working at Greensand and having daily interactions with the residents is what I really enjoy. I have three children and a crazy French bulldog called Rocco so when I’m not at work I’m always kept busy.

My name is Marina. I am the Head of Recreation and Leisure at Greensand House. I have worked in Nursing/Care Homes since 2007. I worked for big, well-known companies and small homes. Before starting at Greensand House, I was the leading Lifestyle coordinator in a dementia-specialised care home for two years.


I gained experience and knowledge in the care sector by working in different departments and I have completed my NVQ qualification with City & Guilds and special dementia-related courses. I am passionate about providing activities that benefit the well-being of our residents, ensuring that meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities are planned and implemented in the Home for all residents.


The focus of my work is to put the happiness, comfort, and safety of our residents first. I am committed to delivering and creating a wide range of activities to suit each person’s abilities, from physical to mental stimulating games, ensuring the best quality of life for all our residents. Seeing residents smile, laugh and enjoy the life in the home makes my day!

My name is Davide Borges and I am the Maintenance Operative at Greensand House Care Home.


I have been working at Greensand House since August 2022. I love my role, as no two days are the same! One minute l am an electrician, then next a plumber, then a painter & decorator apart of all other things l do!


An important part of my role is the very good relationship I have with the residents, relatives and the staff. I also enjoy driving the minibus and taking the residents on a trip, so they can enjoy all the beautiful places we have around.
