Her room is lovely and has all the facilities she needs. It could do with more fresh air or scent to help prevent unwanted odours occurring.

My husband received respite care for one month in January 2026 and following a dementia diagnosis and discharge from hospital following two falls became a full time resident at Greensand House. All members of the staff are very friendly and caring. All speak to him by first addressing his name. He enjoys his meals in a very inviting dining room. I would have no hesitation in recommending Greensand House Care Home.

My lovely Mum has been under the wonderful care of Greensands since starting with respite and then full time from August 2024. The staff are just wonderful and are like my own family now, we do not live locally and absolutely nothing is too much too ask. I highly recommend any families thinking about their loved one staying at Greensands to not hesitate in making this decision.

My Mum was a resident at Greensand for 20 months, until she passed away. It was the happiest I've ever seen her... she didn't have a good life with my father. At Greensand, nothing was ever too much trouble, not that Mum was very demanding anyway. She was constantly asked for her opinion on various things, menu items, activities, gardening. She frequently knew the answer to a wide variety of things, she felt loved by all the care team and she loved them too. They even visited her in hospital, even bringing her a birthday cake! I miss coming to Greensand and still attend some of their community activities. Highly recommended

Mum could not have been happier at Greensand. The love and care she enjoyed, the friendships she made with both residents and staff, the dining, activities, every aspect of her experience was a joy. As her loving daughter, it brought me such comfort to know she was always safe and happy. Sadly, Mum died in April following a short illness in hospital. Greensand kindly hosted Mum's wake: a wonderful, happy celebration, which did Mum proud.

I live in Devon and try to visit dad at least once a month. My observations are based on my latest visit. When I arrived dad was in his room, he looked relaxed and comfortable and his room was clean and tidy. I was with him at lunchtime and he enjoyed his food. It was a walk day so I took dad into the garden. The staff who are always friendly and helpful, assisted dad into his wheelchair. Dad loved being outdoors and enjoyed a tour of the grounds, which are very well kept.

Our mother came into Greensand House for respite care. With the support and care of all the lovely staff has decided to make it her new home. She has embraces having friendly people around and enjoys the activities and group session provided. The family feel so happy she is safe and content in this new chapter of her life.

My friend has settled well into the home. She is happy and joins in with some of the activities, (if they don't require her to move from her chair). The staff are always helpful to the residents and their visitor. I always feel welcome. I like the fact that the residents are card for as individuals, having their independance when necessary. I am very impressed with the cleanliness and the beauty of all areas. I have already recommended Avery to friends and family.

Life for our family and elderly mum changed very quickly when she had a fall. Mom was in hospital in a full leg brace and needed respite care. On contacting Greensands we received so much help, kindness and reassurance. The transition from hospital to respite care was so impressive. The manager and staff went above and beyond to accommodate mum in a very short time frame. Mum has now asked to stay indefinitely as she is embracing a new chapter in her life surrounded by love and care. How wonderful is that! Thank you all, so so much.

My mum is look after very well the staff do a excellent job with day to day care mum fells at home in her room here watch is keep clear and tidy at all times she has pitche from her old home as a lot of anther people have to on walls and round the room.

I visited a resident that was happy being in the home. She felt cared for, and comfortable. Before living in the home, was often depressed, and often crying and lonely. It was lovely to see her cheerful. Yes forgetful but joining in the conversation. Being in the home has given her care and companionship.

My mum has been a resident since 12.12.25 she is happy, safe and well cared for. Without exception the team are fabulous, engaging and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending Greensand Care Home

Visitors are warmly welcomed and Greensands has a real 'family' feel about it. We can't thank them enough.

My mum has been at Greensand House for about 15 months and I can't praise the care she receives highly enough. The care staff are attentive and friendly and always professional. Likewise those on reception. Well done to all. I have no experience of other care homes but this is what they should all be like.

From our initial contact, to mum visiting, having respite care to moving in, they were all wonderfully kind & helpful. The care, kindness and friendship given by all the carers is exceptional. Mum enjoys the food, an important part of the day. However, they appear to be very understaffed which means requests can take far longer than expected. Unfortunately, on several occasions meals have been delivered late so they are not very warm and a couple of times not arrived. However, the staff work very hard and try to do everything in a timely manner, it's just they need more of them.

Staff are very helpful. Cakes and snacks are nice. My brother is happy and well cared for. It is clean and tidy.

My Uncle's best thing is the staff and he feels reassured they're there at the press of a button.

Greensand is a lovely place, just like home. All my friends have been most impressed with it. The staff are all great - that is most important! I'm sure I will be back when my carer has a break - many thanks.

Mum very well looked after for the last 6 months. Would like her hearing aids to be charged every morning and not lost! The toilet area needs cleaning every day as was smelling last week.
