The Alder House in Nuthall provides high-quality resident living facilities as well as dementia and respite care.

Residents benefit from comfortable and spacious bedrooms, complete with ensuite facilities. Companionship suites are also available for couples who would like to stay together.

Visitors who come to Alder house are always made to feel welcome and a part of the Alder house family. They have a fantastic, consistent staff team that know the resident care needs well. The home is supported by a fantastic regional team who ensure the high quality standards are maintained.

Their wonderful residents love to have family pets and children coming in to visit. The homely warm atmosphere exists throughout the home. Special attention is paid to those with dementia, as shown by the café, which is full of mementoes from the past days.

A full programme of daily activities, including maintaining body strength, is supported by volunteers. The atmosphere is lively and fun and residents enjoy gardening, regular cinema showings, going out on Sundays and eating well. There is no need for residents to venture out if they don't want to as they are able to have their hair done or enjoy hot refreshments in the onsite hairdressers and café.

Good relations are maintained with the local community and the neighbouring Avery home, Acer Court.

I felt that I needed to share the expertise and care of this care home.
I am sure that if you are thinking of placing your loved one into short-term or long-term care then your anxieties would be raised. I remember all the fears and guilt I felt when I was looking for a care home for my mother.
My
mother is my life and her happiness is priceless. She raised 6 children and faced many adversities in her life and for me to allow others with my mother was extremely hard for me. I eventually found Alder House, the management is excellent the carers are amazing, the food is excellent and the cleanliness is amazing. The entertainment staff all go that extra mile. The home has become part of my family, they not only support and care for my mother but they are all there for me and my family.
If you want the best for your loved one then trust me you will not find better than Alder House. Please visit and I promise you, you will not be disappointed. I would live here if needed.

Looking for somewhere that gives that extra care for my father. Manager could not have been more supportive. Did not feel rushed gave me support as well as my father. I have been to a number of residential sites and this was by far the most welcoming open-door policy. Looked around and spoke to some
residents randomly and all looked happy appearances were excellent and were being social. Well done to the manager and team.

The staff here are so amazing they are dedicated and caring, they go above and beyond. My lovely sister is in Alder House, her care is outstanding, honestly, I was overwhelmed. I was so worried before but at last, I can relax. I go every day to see her with no restrictions at all, such a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are amazing and so welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
There's a facility to stay if required too. Very highly recommended.

From the minute my mother-in-law arrived at Alder House Care Home, we knew she was in safe hands.
The staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are looked after and given exceptional care.
The home is beautiful, very clean and always feels welcoming.
The food
always looks delicious and it's one of the many things my mother-in-law always compliments.
There are lots of activities throughout the day and it's lovely to see the residents playing games of scrabble and dominoes.
A brilliant home, I can't speak highly enough about it.

My mum was offered Alder House Care Home as a respite for my family as her health has declined quite significantly due to a brain tumour. We have been absolutely blessed to have this opportunity. As well as the home being 2 minutes away from us, there are no issues with parking, there are no restrictions
on visiting hours or how many visitors at a time, and we can take our dogs to visit. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. My mum has 24-hour support from the team, and they are all our heroes. Nothing is too big or too much, they are always happy to help, they are all amazing from the care team to the maintenance and the cleaners. There are so many endless benefits, even the food is fantastic. My mum has managed to gain 5kg within 3 weeks. I could never thank the team enough for their help and support, we are so very grateful.

My mother is currently in Alder House due to needing care because of brain cancer. The care and facilities are fantastic in all aspects. My mum always said she didn't like the thought of being in a care home but she cannot fault anything at all. Staff are all so nice and her room is lovely clean and
homely.

We have available some beautiful spacious rooms on our Lawrence and Sherbrooke suites.
