The staff was very nice and caring, respectful of everyone's wishes and needs, the facilities standards were super and rooms were excellent. Everyone was made to feel welcome and at home.
Thank you so much for giving us the honour of looking after your wonderful Grandad, I am very proud of the team here at Alderhouse and the care given to your grandad. Love always.
The staff are absolutely lovely and go above and beyond to make sure the residents are looked after and given exceptional care.
The home is beautiful, very clean and always feels welcoming.
The food always looks delicious and it's one of the many things my mother-in-law always compliments.
There are lots of activities throughout the day and it's lovely to see the residents playing games of scrabble and dominoes.
A brilliant home, I can't speak highly enough about it.
Thank you for your wonderful comments and for trusting us to look after her. We are here for all of you.
My mum was offered Alder House Care Home as a respite for my family as her health has declined quite significantly due to a brain tumour. We have been absolutely blessed to have this opportunity. As well as the home being 2 minutes away from us, there are no issues with parking, there are no restrictions on visiting hours or how many visitors at a time, and we can take our dogs to visit. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. My mum has 24-hour support from the team, and they are all our heroes. Nothing is too big or too much, they are always happy to help, they are all amazing from the care team to the maintenance and the cleaners. There are so many endless benefits, even the food is fantastic. My mum has managed to gain 5kg within 3 weeks. I could never thank the team enough for their help and support, we are so very grateful.
Thank you so much for this lovely compliment. Here at Alder House, we like to not only look after our lovely residents but their families too. I am extremely proud of the team here, and I am glad you chose us to have the privilege of looking after your lovely mother-in-law at this difficult time.
My father was admitted with cancer and needed end-of-life care. The staff and the home were amazing. They looked after him lovely and I am extremely grateful for their care.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and for letting us look after your wonderful father.
Alder House has provided excellent care to me and my family. They have gone above and beyond in ensuring my grandfather is comfortable in his final days. This care extended to my family too.
Thank you for your lovely comments and thank you for giving us the opportunity to look after your wonderful grandad it was a pleasure.
Friendly place and staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words we are honoured that you feel we are providing a high standard of care thank you
It's very comforting to know she is very well looked after and very comfortable.

We cannot thank everyone enough for the care and kindness they have shown us all.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. I will pass on your kind comments to the team and I am so happy that your mother is enjoying her stay with us. Best wishes
Could not have a bad thing to say about this care home. Staff are very friendly and welcoming every visit. Very attentive. My wife is receiving the best care and I have peace of mind knowing she is in good hands. Highly recommend.
I am so happy that you are delighted with the care that your wife is receiving in the home thank you so much for your review and kind comments about your experience. I will share this with the home. Best wishes
Exceptional home, cannot fault it at all. Staff go above and beyond in their job all so helpful and kind. Food is fantastic and plentiful and I love the hot chocolate. Would fully recommend to anyone.
Thank you so much for such a lovely review about the care being delivered in the home. It was a joy to read such lovely comments
My only negative comment is that laundry is a bit hit-and-miss! Maybe a little more attention to the labels and room numbers/names wouldn't go a miss. Otherwise excellent service and support all around.
Your review and feedback is really valuable to us and thank you for taking the time to write such lovely comments about the home and the services your mother has received so far. We will review our laundry labelling in the home and make adjustments to our processes to improve the...
What a lovely home, visited my friends. The atmosphere was wonderful, lots of activities and had a lovely warm feeling. Witnessed meals and they looked and smelt delicious.

The home is beautiful. So clean and welcoming. The staff are amazing and genuinely care about their residents. The care they have given to my grandmother over the last few years has been second to none during the good times and the bad. The compassion that has been shown at the end of her life is truly commendable. Thank you.
Thank you so much for writing such a lovely review about the home and the care and compassion your grandmother received. It was truly a pleasure to care for such a lovely lady and thank you for choosing us to support her in her final years. Best wishes.
I came for respite after having several weeks in hospital. I realised that I can no longer be safe alone at home nor do the things I was doing before. Also my family would worry. I have decided to stay here where I am cared for and safe. The staff are all so kind, respectful and polite. there are activities to go to. The food is good and the gardens beautiful.
Thank you so much for your kind words in your review. We are delighted that you have chosen to stay and I am glad that you are happy with our services. It is a real pleasure to support you in the home. Best wishes, Gemma.
The care staff and management at Alder House treated our mother with such care, love, dignity and understanding. Our mum felt respected, loved and safe at Alder House. The room was beautiful, and Mum loved looking out of the window at the flowers and the frequent people coming and going. She enjoyed the meals, the activities and the joyous entertainment and "feeling". The carers and all the team were exceptional - they put their hearts and souls into their jobs - we couldn't have asked for more, and Mum was in the best place we could have ever hoped for. We had total peace of mind right until the end of Mum's life.
Dear Ann, thank you so much for taking the time to review our home and the care that your mum received with us. Your mother was a huge part of the home, and her character was one in a million; we loved every second that we shared with her. We miss her in the home, but we miss you and the rest of her family too, so please pop in for a coffee sometime. Many thanks.
With limited IT ability, I came to the point of despair at my failure to renew my car insurance. It took admin staff nearly two hours to sort it but they would not give up and my despair was going. I describe this incident because it is typical of the willingness of staff to help residents with personal problems.
Thank you for taking the time to review the home and describing the patience of the staff to help you with your car insurance. We are so glad that we were able to assist you with your renewal. Best wishes.
My nan lives in Alder House Care Home - Avery Healthcare. She's not the easiest of ladies to look after but the staff still do their very best for her.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It is a pleasure to care for your nan in the home and she is no trouble at all thank you so much for allowing us to care for her. Best wishes.
Choosing Alder House Care Home - Avery Healthcare on my grandma's final weeks of her life was the best choice we made. All staff from all departments made us feel welcome and cared for. The level of move my grandma received was unmatched! The love and care we saw from staff towards my grandma came naturally from the care staff. As a family we can't thank the home and their staff enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review about the experience you had with us. Your grandma is truly missed in the home and has left us with lots of moments for us to smile about when we think of her so thank you so much for choosing our home for your grandma. Best wishes.
In my view this is a 5 star facility. All our needs are catered for, at the staff have a difficult job to meet our demands. So many work until tired, night staff very good. The records of our treatment and medication first class! Thank you all and the management that manages this first class establishment.
Wow, thank you for your kind comments written in your review about the home. We are so happy that you feel happy in the home and satisfied with the service we provide it's a real privilege for the team and me to spend our day with you. Thank you.
