My father has been at Rowan Court for 2½ years and has flourished thanks to the excellent care provided by all staff. In recent times dad has needed additional care which the staff have more than adequately supported. The communication to the family during visits and phone calls has also been excellent, and we would have no hesitation in recommending Rowan Court to anyone.

My initial experience is first dampened, by the fact we are constantly unable to park on the home's car park. We counted the number of people/visitors in the 'visitors' log book who were currently booked-in, against car park spaces. This suggested that the staff were parked on this car park, which was clearly "sign-posted" for visitors only? Considering we pay for the care, this is unacceptable practice. Electric plug socket was broken and on the floor for days. I had to change the extension lead myself, which was damaged because the bed was pushed into it? Dirty tissues under the bed. Wrong clothing items in the wardrobe. Improvements must be made!

Rowan Court helped us enormously when we could no longer look after Mum at home. Mum is a very independent 95-year-old and at Rowan Court she is treated like a family member, all staff are welcoming and attentive, aware of Mum's need for independence treating her with respect and helping while retaining her dignity and keeping her safe especially with washing and dressing. After a stay (respite) Mum was happy to stay on a permanent basis. Enjoying a day trip with a cuppa and cream cake and the good food choices really helped! Rowan Court have been wonderful in helping us achieve this working with us to help us settle Mum in what she calls her final home.

Judith, my wife, has been a resident for 3 1/2 years. During this time, she has experienced outstanding care from all the staff. I am continually impressed by the quality of her care, both from the experienced and young carers. The level of patience shown in difficult circumstances has been outstanding. I have regular review meetings with senior staff where we discuss all aspects of her care and needs. Without fail, these meetings are positive and always ask to make adjustments to make her life more comfortable.

It was a very hard decision, looking for a care home for out much loved mum, but when we stepped into Rowan Court I knew this was the home for mum. The staff are exceptional when it comes to caring for the residents, not they aren't residents they are family they look after them like their own. Nothing is every too much trouble and gets done straight away (like asking for a bacon sandwich). I can't thank each and every staff member enough for the caring of everything for our mum.

My father has been cared for at Rowan Court Care Home for nearly three years before he died in February 2025. He was always treated with dignity and with thoughtful care. He clearly welcomed the attention of care and nursing staff. He enjoyed heartily the meals, and engaged staff with good humour. The care during the last month of his life was sincere and exemplary.

I cannot speak too highly of the home.

All staff have a very positive attitude and are fully aware of my mother's care plan along with her daily needs. Care staff are caring and flexible in meeting individual requests. The food quality and hygiene standards are excellent. A daily programme of activities keeps residents monitored and socially involved. The home keeps relatives completely updated on their doctor's appointments and prescription needs.

Rowan Court Care Home is truly excellent! The staff (each and everybody) are kind, caring, happy and personable. They show empathy for each of the residents and do not talk down to those with greater needs. I am so grateful for the given to my mother who is always smiling and happy as a consequence of the love and dedication of the staff.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Rowan Court for just over 2 months now. Choosing the right residential home can be problematic, but my wife and I were immensely impressed with our initial contact and the politeness and professionalism of all staff. Safe to say, he has settled in remarkably well, he’s made new friends and all staff are extremely kind and supportive toward him. We have expressed our thanks to the manager, and in particular, the following staff have all impressed us with reception, admin, and the many excellent carers including the exceptional senior carers.

Our mum entered Rowan Court at the most difficult time -- after a fall at home and just as the Covid lockdown was starting. My sister found Rowan Court, and we could not have made a better choice. I live in the United States, but everyone I spoke to on my weekly phone calls was so positive and friendly. During the time she was there, through her 100th birthday and to her recent passing, the personal care and love that she received was all that we could have hoped for. Thank you so much for all that you do for your residents and their families!

My mother has settled in well. I have found the staff to be helpful and caring. They keep us informed of changes to medication and other health issues.
It is obvious that staff are, at times, under pressure, but they maintain their caring, friendly and cheerful attitude.

We are very happy with the care that our mother receives.
