The care my mom received was excellent. The staff, the care, the food, and the facilities were second to none. The care home is kept spotlessly clean, it is like a 5 star hotel.

My family friend has been in Crispin Court Care Home, Stafford, for almost two years now. I haven't seen him so happy for a long time. The staff are excellent, the ambience is friendly and clean. From the moment my husband and I visit, we are treated with a friendly and caring manner, just like my dear

I stayed at Crispin Court for four weeks of convalescence following a long hospital stay. I found my whole time at Crispin Court excellent. The care staff were knowledgeable and definitely aided my recovery. The building was spotlessly clean and the rooms very comfortable. The wellbeing team provided
engaging activities and the food was very good. The front-of-the-house team were always very pleasant and helpful.

My Grandmother has recently gone into Crispin Court on respite care with a view to making it her permanent home. At first, she was not too sure it was for her. The staff and other residents have all been very helpful and welcoming. I can see that my Grandmother is doing well and looking so much better
since being there. Fingers crossed she enjoys it and decides she wants to make it permanent.

Crispin Court is an attractive building and all the rooms and corridors were kept in a good state of cleanliness.
The staff showed great empathy and understanding with the residents and in my own experience were very amenable and considerate with regard to the transfer from hospital.
The staff worked
hard at all times but perhaps there was a need, on occasions, for additional support because of the pressures put upon them. The food was attractively presented and of a high standard and certainly seemed to satisfy everyone.
The programme of activities was extensive and enjoyable. Overall I had a pleasant and invigorating respite which worked wonders in returning me to the outside world.

My Mam has stayed at Crispin Court 4 times now. She loves it there, we have our holiday, she has hers. There will come a time when she needs 24-hour care, we have no hesitation in making the decision to choose Crispin Court - the staff and service are wonderful.
We have tried other homes before finding
Crispin honestly they are in a league of their own. Well done all at Crispin Court, don't change.

When I went into Crispin Court I was unable to walk unaided. With a standing frame, patient staff, physio and walking frame I was able to go to the dining room, coming back to the room in a chair but soon walking both ways, always accompanied by caring staff. All the staff showed consideration, courteous,
kindness etc. I am home now, coping with carers, and the support of family and friends.

Very good communication (about hospital visit) by phone and in person by two members of staff: the staff updated on changes to arrangements and they were considerate and cooperative - one staff member drove the resident to hospital well in time for the appointment. This assistance made the day run smoothly
and happily; another staff member did a follow-up report on hospital visit with excellent attention to detail.

Mum initially came for respite care when the live-in carer couldn't cope, and Mum was highly agitated. Mum settled immediately and loves taking part in the activities that are arranged. She has always had a strong personality, and the team quickly got her measure and could make her laugh and keep her
calm when confused. A real effort was made to get to know who Mum was and now is, so her care and conversation are suited to her. I don't live nearby, staff are always helpful on the phone and know who I am when I visit, it is a comfort to see so many of the same carers each time I visit. Mum has enjoyed the food and the kitchen team recently catered a lovely get-together to celebrate Mum's 90th birthday. Mum had pets all her life and we usually bring one of our dogs to visit (well-behaved dogs are welcome at Crispin Court). A huge thank you from our family to the manager and her team.

My dad was recently here for just over six months and this is a completely honest review.
My dad was in hospital for the last few weeks before we moved him and I still do not know the exact details of how he ended up there. Dad was quite depressed here and he couldn’t walk. The majority of staff rarely
interacted with him and, in his words, said they were short staffed and seemed too busy. Staff seemed to continuously change. At the start they offered to encourage dad to join in with things but then stopped. He found their wheelchair too uncomfortable so we got him his own but nobody ever offered to help him into it, even though they said they would.
The menu they show you is far from the truth. Dad did like the breakfasts but they didn’t give it to him one day.
They moved dad to another floor which made dad more depressed.
Dad wasn’t having his cream put on for his skin cancer despite me telling them three times.
They owe dad still nearly £6500 for charging another month too.

I am at the home every day to see my friend and that is not only to see him, but also I enjoy the experience of being there. Not only are the staff friendly and engaging, but so are the other residents. There are things to do, but if you just want to relax there are spaces to do that too. Nothing is
too much trouble and we both feel heard when talking or asking questions.

Tracey Williams

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

Tracey Williams, Crispin Court Home Manager.


Tracey joined the Avery Group in 2018 as Home Manager to Hempstalls Hall for 6 years before starting a new venture as Home Manager to our 'Out Standing' home; Crispin Court in Stafford in June 2024.


Tracey's background started within the care sector for Stoke on Trent Council before moving into the private care sector. She has a wealth of experience working with the elderly, dementia care & mental health spanning over 36 years within the care industry.


Tracey is extremely passionate about being able to provide our residents with high quality, person centred care by encouraging the right to personal independence & personal choice. This is possible through supporting residents to live as independently as they wish, and provide opportunities to enhance their quality of life by providing a comfortable, safe, supported and well lead luxurious environment in which to live in.


Tracey is very passionate about our residents having the same rights to facilities and services in the surrounding community as any other citizen, believing that getting older doesn't mean you give up what you enjoy.


Tracey works very closely with her Crispin Court team. She has developed strong relationships and insists on delivering an excellent service through empower her staff to achieve the very best out of their work performance.

Claire Baker-Grujich

Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2016

Claire has over 20 years of experience in the care industry, primarily working as a senior carer in care homes. Claire joined the team at Crispin Court back in 2016. She started working nights as a senior carer before she was promoted to team leader on days. Claire wanted a new challenge back in 2021 and was offered the position of home administrator.


Claire supports the Home Manager with payroll, contracts for staff and residents, recruitment, and she deals with the finances. If you have any questions regarding finances, Claire is happy to help.

Having an extensive client customer care background, of over 30 years, Tara previously worked for Social Services for 8 years prior to moving to the Avery private healthcare sector.


As the CLM, Tara oversees the Front of House Team and works very closely with the Home Management Team. She is committed to delivering the highest standard of service to every new, and existing, client whilst maintaining professionalism, and empathy, which is tailored to the individual.

Deputy Manager, Andrew Vernon, at Crispin Court Care Home, has recently joined the Avery group. Having now been in his role for the last eighteen months, he brings with him over 25 years of professional experience in adult social care and health. His career began within Staffordshire County Council, where he worked as a Social Care Assessor, specialising in complex needs assessments, multidisciplinary care planning, and the integration of health and social services. During this time, he has developed a strong foundation in clinical collaboration, safeguarding, and evidence-based practice, ensuring vulnerable adults receive tailored support to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.


In his current leadership role, he takes pride in guiding a dedicated team and fostering a compassionate, high-performing care environment. Andrew is passionate about promoting a culture of excellence through person-centred care, continuous staff development, and outcome-focused support strategies. Andrew’s approach is rooted in reflective practice, professional integrity, and a commitment to driving positive change within the adult care sector, and he is driven to achieve positive life experiences for residents and staff at Crispin Court.

Nicola has worked at Crispin Court for 3 years on our front-of-house team. Nicola loves her job as our receptionist; she has a very warm, friendly, bubbly personality. Nicola is very often the first point of contact for our friends, family & visitors, her professionalism is what defines her as a truly exceptional receptionist.


Nicola has many qualities which makes her a true asset to our team, she is also a qualified Dance & Fitness instructor, having taught dance for over 35 years. Nic currently hoists our Friday morning fitness class for our residents, which the residents thoroughly look forward to, It has the best number of attendees, whilst presenting the most fun and laughter.


Nicola is very open-minded; she truly listens to people & has a natural empathy, whilst being compassionate and respectful.
