I stayed at Crispin Court for four weeks of convalescence following a long hospital stay. I found my whole time at Crispin Court excellent. The care staff were knowledgeable and definitely aided my recovery. The building was spotlessly clean and the rooms very comfortable. The wellbeing team provided engaging activities and the food was very good. The front-of-the-house team were always very pleasant and helpful.

My Grandmother has recently gone into Crispin Court on respite care with a view to making it her permanent home. At first, she was not too sure it was for her. The staff and other residents have all been very helpful and welcoming. I can see that my Grandmother is doing well and looking so much better since being there. Fingers crossed she enjoys it and decides she wants to make it permanent.

My Mam has stayed at Crispin Court 4 times now. She loves it there, we have our holiday, she has hers. There will come a time when she needs 24-hour care, we have no hesitation in making the decision to choose Crispin Court - the staff and service are wonderful.

We have tried other homes before finding Crispin honestly they are in a league of their own. Well done all at Crispin Court, don't change.

When I went into Crispin Court I was unable to walk unaided. With a standing frame, patient staff, physio and walking frame I was able to go to the dining room, coming back to the room in a chair but soon walking both ways, always accompanied by caring staff. All the staff showed consideration, courteous, kindness etc. I am home now, coping with carers, and the support of family and friends.

Very good communication (about hospital visit) by phone and in person by two members of staff: the staff updated on changes to arrangements and they were considerate and cooperative - one staff member drove the resident to hospital well in time for the appointment. This assistance made the day run smoothly and happily; another staff member did a follow-up report on hospital visit with excellent attention to detail.

Mum initially came for respite care when the live-in carer couldn't cope, and Mum was highly agitated. Mum settled immediately and loves taking part in the activities that are arranged. She has always had a strong personality, and the team quickly got her measure and could make her laugh and keep her calm when confused. A real effort was made to get to know who Mum was and now is, so her care and conversation are suited to her. I don't live nearby, staff are always helpful on the phone and know who I am when I visit, it is a comfort to see so many of the same carers each time I visit. Mum has enjoyed the food and the kitchen team recently catered a lovely get-together to celebrate Mum's 90th birthday. Mum had pets all her life and we usually bring one of our dogs to visit (well-behaved dogs are welcome at Crispin Court). A huge thank you from our family to the manager and her team.

My dad was recently here for just over six months and this is a completely honest review.
My dad was in hospital for the last few weeks before we moved him and I still do not know the exact details of how he ended up there. Dad was quite depressed here and he couldn’t walk. The majority of staff rarely interacted with him and, in his words, said they were short staffed and seemed too busy. Staff seemed to continuously change. At the start they offered to encourage dad to join in with things but then stopped. He found their wheelchair too uncomfortable so we got him his own but nobody ever offered to help him into it, even though they said they would.
The menu they show you is far from the truth. Dad did like the breakfasts but they didn’t give it to him one day.
They moved dad to another floor which made dad more depressed.
Dad wasn’t having his cream put on for his skin cancer despite me telling them three times.

They owe dad still nearly £6500 for charging another month too.

I am at the home every day to see my friend and that is not only to see him, but also I enjoy the experience of being there. Not only are the staff friendly and engaging, but so are the other residents. There are things to do, but if you just want to relax there are spaces to do that too. Nothing is too much trouble and we both feel heard when talking or asking questions.

The staff at Crispin Court are a very contentious bunch of people who work very hard with a range of elderly people, some of whom can be very challenging from what I have seen. The accommodation is always clean and tidy and resembles the standards you would find in a quality hotel. Before moving to Crispin Court earlier in the year, my father had been living by himself for the last five years, so moving anywhere new is stressful; the staff have made him very welcome and from my perspective, that is nice to see.

My experience with Crispin Court Care Home was absolutely refreshing, my wife has stayed here many times, my contact is the customer service manager, this lady goes the extra mile for everyone. All the staff are dedicated, I can't praise Crispin Court enough. I did try another home due to Crispin being full, however, the experience was not the same. We won't go anywhere now but Crispin. Special thanks to the customer service manager, thanks for making life a little more bearable.

I chose this care home on the basis of it being the best in Stafford. At the assessment, I pointed out a few necessary requirements that needed to be addressed if my mother was to go into their care, which they happily agreed to. A room was available the next day and my mother went in on an initial two-week respite care plan. However, disappointingly, some of the issues that were discussed were not fulfilled. The main one being mum not being taken on regular short walks to help her regain her confidence. This was a priority. There were many other issues not acted upon despite an end of week discussion with management to rectify the problems.
The staff generally were very pleasant, however, I got the impression they were under pressure. My main disappointment is with the management who made promises they did not deliver on.

The cost was substantial, and the expectations were high after the initial assessment, but the delivery was not as expected.
