"We didn't end up using Elton House in the end, as my grandmother's condition changed, but I still wanted to leave a review because the staff were so attentive, understanding and patient throughout. The facilities are excellent, of course, but it was really the kindness and care of the staff that
stood out most and made such a strong impression on us.
Reply from Jenny Bloomberg, Client Liaison Manager at Elton House Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you so much for taking the time to share this thoughtful review, especially during what must have been a difficult period for your family. Although your grandmother didn't come to stay with us in the end, we're truly grateful for your kind words. Our team will be touched to hear that their attentiveness, patience and understanding made such a positive impression. We believe that genuine care begins long before someone moves in, and it means a great deal to know that this came across to you. We wish you and your family all the very best, and please don't hesitate to reach out if we can support you in any way in the future.

Pemberley House has been a place of genuine comfort and reassurance for our family, and most importantly, for my grandmother, who now calls it home. Entrusting the care of a loved one to others is never easy, but from the very beginning, the team at Pemberley House have demonstrated a level of compassion,
ignity, and professionalism that has far exceeded our expectations.
What stands out most is the kindness of the staff. There is a quiet consistency in the way they treat residents- not as patients, but as individuals with rich lives, histories, and personalities. My grandmother is spoken to with warmth and respect, and it's clear that her wellbeing is not just a duty, but something they genuinely care about.
We are deeply grateful to the entire team for the dignity, kindness, and humanity they bring to work each day. It is not simply a place of care- it is a place of compassion, and that makes all the difference. Thank you.
Reply from Pamela Sharman, Client Liaison Manager at Pemberley House Care Home - Avery HealthcareDear Sian Thank you for your warm review, it is uplifting to know your comments and will definitely be shared with our team, it is much appreciated. Our best wishes to you and your family.

I have no previous experience of any care home yet every member of staff I have met have been kind, considerate and very helpful.
The facilities seem very good and the home is always clean and tidy.
I believe that the hot meals could be improved a little but, I must stress, I have not eaten there
and so this is not from my own experience.

The welcome card and fruit were a lovely touch. All the teams were excellent, friendly, efficient, professional, nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent: presentation, quality and choice. Facilities were good (I would have liked an exercise bike). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. In the words

Reply from Hannah Atkinson, Home Manager at Droitwich Mews Care Home - Avery HealthcareThank you so much for your lovely feedback. My mother could not be in a better place. The level of care, dignity and compassion given by all members of the care team has been exceptional. Her general health & wellbeing improved as soon as she moved in and she looks so much better and happier than she did this time last year. The activities and
regular outings have also given her renewed confidence along with the invaluable companionship with other residents.
The relatives portal has been a great tool to see what's happening on a day to day basis and the e-mail communication regarding more specific issues has been very prompt.
Knowing our mum is receiving the best quality of care and in a safe & caring environment has been a huge comfort to our family

My mother, in her mid 90s, has been a resident for two weeks. While on leave, I joined her daily at the Dove Ward mandir, where I met Hina leading prayers.
Hina shows compassion, professionalism, and dedication, involving all residents so no one feels excluded. During Ram Navami, I joined the arti
and saw her kindness and dignity.
Together with Edna, Ward Manager, she reassures families that their loved ones are in safe, caring hands. Thanks to Kerry, Stella & Uchenna for supporting mum's move from GM to London. Settling in is challenging due to mums likes, dislikes, and language barriers with non-Gujarati speaking carers, but we already see a positive difference. I would love all residents encouraged to have all their meals together and join daily activities. Birchwood Grange supports mums cultural and spiritual needs, helping her feel included and valued.
Thank you all for your care and professionalism.

Unfortunately, my experience with this care home has been very concerning. Over the past three years there have been seven different managers, with an interim manager currently in place. This constant change in leadership has been extremely unsettling for both staff and residents and has resulted in
a noticeable lack of consistency in care.
Staffing levels have frequently been insufficient, putting pressure on existing staff and impacting the quality of care provided. I was also deeply troubled to learn that staff have reportedly been told that if they raise concerns with residents' families, they could face disciplinary action. This creates a culture where issues are not openly addressed and families are not kept properly informed.
Due to the concerns for my mother's Health and Welfare, the Council Social Services recommended i remove my mother from the home which i have now done. i cannot recommend this home due to ongoing concerns surrounding care and the failure of management.
Reply from Joe Maxwell, Home Manager at Beckenham Park Care Home - Avery CollectionThank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry to read about your experience and the concerns you have raised regarding your mothers care at Beckenham Park.
We take all feedback seriously, particularly where it relates to care quality, communication and the experience of residents and their families. The points you have raised have been reviewed and addressed in detail through our formal complaints process.
We recognise how important it is that families feel listened to, informed and confident in the care being provided, and we are sorry that this was not your experience. Where concerns are identified, we use them as an opportunity to strengthen our approach and ensure improvements are embedded and sustained.

Mum has been with Hempstalls Hall Care Home for the last 11 months after a fall. Everyone at Hempstalls Hall are wonderful and care for Mum with compassion and dignity. Whilst Mum doesn't join in many of the activities, she does enjoy the singers. The care from all the staff is second to none. This
years Mothers Day everyone had daffodils which was lovely.
We celebrated Mum's birthday last weekend in the pod with afternoon tea. Shout out to Michelle and Karen for bringing out the afternoon tea in the rain. Mum really enjoyed it and despite the rain, we enjoyed all the home made cakes.
Nothing is too much for any of the staff and myself and my sister are assured Mum is getting the best care. We know Mum is looking forward to sitting in the garden once the weather picks up.

I was dumped here under false pretences for 2 weeks to recuperate from hospital. Still stuck here. Does seem odd that a shed cannot be put up which would keep outdoor toys dry & clean, and is now rotting as water runs down back to hedge because management cannot decide. I do think the carers should
be taught what cutlery to use and speak English fluently. Sharp knives & forks would be helpful. I find knives so blunt wont peel hard fruit well or cut meat sometimes. Garden & Julie my great comfort and my birds. I think you should decide whether you are a care home, nursing or residental, all have different requirements. I was kidnapped & brought here never asked if I wanted to come. Food awful. You want to get some proper spinal matresses, so folk like me don't have back ache the whole time I have a lovely one at home. If you send a carer, I do not think we have to pay - as that is part of caring. I do not need a wheelchair taxi. I sit in a seat. Last time I went in the owner drove and he asked why you booked one when I sit in a seat. He told me because you had booked that particuarl day he could not take a lady who had broken both legs and was in a chair to hospital, so she missed her appointment. It was too late to book a transport ambulance. I have asked for an ordinary taxi. Wheelchair ones are so high to climb in. That is how my bad leg got out. You need sharp knives and a leg guard for injured legs. Blunt knives to residents.
