A recent 95th birthday celebration was catered for by the chef and staff at the home. As a family, we were so pleased by the buffet; the quality was exceptional. The staff could not do enough for us, and we appreciated that very much.
Keep up the excellent work, and a big thank you.

Variety of activities - seek to involve all residents in communal activities. A good layout makes getting around easier. Seek to encourage residents' independence. The majority of staff are helpful. Frequent changes in staff can be confusing.

My wife said nothing about her experience of Avalon Court until six months had elapsed. She then told me that she enjoyed her stay and that she would be content to go again if it would help me. I had fully expected her to say 'don't send me there again!' She is very hard to please!

My Mum has just returned from spending two weeks in Avalon Court Care Home and what a lovely two weeks she has had. Since her return, she has continually told us how kind and caring everyone was, she was looked after very well and met some lovely residents too. Mum said the food was lovely and plentiful too. She thoroughly enjoyed the activities that were available and joined in with everything that she could. I have just been talking to her about "knit and natter" which she particularly enjoyed. Whilst her room was a little smaller than during her last visit, it was clean and comfortable, she had all the facilities she needed. We will have no hesitation in considering Avalon Court in the future. Mum has just said to me how much she misses one of the residents that she met, I'll try and put them in touch again. Thanks to everyone at Avalon, we are grateful for the care and attention you gave to our mum.
