Overall Experience
My aunt has resided at Avalon Court since August 2013.
Since Avery Healthcare took over in April 2015, there have been many gradual and welcome improvements to the facilities and the staff recruitment and training. This is a lovely environment, 5 star hotel equivalent, that provides a beautiful home for all.

The menu is varied and options offered daily to residents. Relatives are encouraged to join their family and friends for meals which is lovely and very welcome. Parking can be an issue occasionally although the car park is a generous size. Woods opposite make for lovely walks in the better weather.

Brilliant, palatial place. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. My mum has nothing but good things to say about her care. Room is superb as is the food. I'd recommend Avalon Court to anyone.

From the minute you step over the door in reception the welcome is cheerful, honest and open. The staff know all of the residents and always ask after individuals. Once on first floor, the care and nursing my mother receives is second to none. We as a family are so pleased we made the move with my mother.

Home very well run, staff friendly and helpful during respite care. Nice facility unfortunately out of mum's budget to become permanent. Thank you to all the staff and reception staff.

Avalon is without a shadow of a doubt the most fantastic care home I've ever seen. The staff at all levels are friendly and helpful. The home is kept spotlessly clean I would highly recommend this home.

Visitors are made welcome and assisted where necessary. It is lovely to be able to make a drink to share with residents. This feels more homely and normal than many residential settings. Facilities appear good, hair salon, bistro, residents room.
