Accommodation excellent always very clean and tidy. My brother is always clean and tidy. Doesn't mix easily and is always in his room asleep most of the time, but now he does go on the occasional outings, which he enjoys. We have on occasions found odd things missing! some of them do turn up in time.
My brother seems contented in his surroundings and he enjoys his visitors.

I am very happy that my Mum is here as I know she is happy and very well cared for. All her visitors, family and friends are very impressed with the atmosphere, facilities and the friendliness of the staff. There are many opportunities to have a go at a variety of activities and staff are always on
hand to have a friendly word or there in case of need.

My aunt has resided at Avalon Court since August 2013.
Since Avery Healthcare took over in April 2015, there have been many gradual and welcome improvements to the facilities and the staff recruitment and training. This is a lovely environment, 5 star hotel equivalent, that provides a beautiful home
for all.
The menu is varied and options offered daily to residents. Relatives are encouraged to join their family and friends for meals which is lovely and very welcome. Parking can be an issue occasionally although the car park is a generous size. Woods opposite make for lovely walks in the better weather.

From the minute you step over the door in reception the welcome is cheerful, honest and open. The staff know all of the residents and always ask after individuals. Once on first floor, the care and nursing my mother receives is second to none. We as a family are so pleased we made the move with my mother.

Visitors are made welcome and assisted where necessary. It is lovely to be able to make a drink to share with residents. This feels more homely and normal than many residential settings. Facilities appear good, hair salon, bistro, residents room.

I have over 28 years of experience working within the healthcare sector. I have worked for Avery from 2015, becoming the Home Manager in November 2020.


It is a pleasure to work with such an amazing staff team. I also feel incredibly fortunate to work with our fabulous residents. Making a daily difference to the residents that we support, makes my role worthwhile.
