I chose Avalon Court after a great deal of searching and I am extremely pleased with my choice. The change and improvement in my wife were almost immediate and the consequent relief and peace of mind personally was a great bonus. The home far exceeds all of my hopes and expectations. My sincere thanks to every one of the staff and all with any involvement at all.

I looked around many residential homes in the Warwickshire area before settling on Avalon Court. I had had many first-hand recommendations for it and had read the reviews. The moment I walked in I knew it was a very special place and would be perfect for my father. The range of activities is huge and the emphasis on staff engaging with each resident is remarkable - and is not an easy job. The staff are amazing and my and my father is treated as an individual. Communication between myself and the staff is excellent. I cannot comment highly enough and I recommend without reservation.

My mother became a full-time resident in March 2018 having done respite care here a few times to see if she liked it and could leave her own home. I can only say she has completely flourished here. She has a wonderful social life with all the amazing activities that are coordinated by wonderful staff. She has made some lovely friends with other residents. Most importantly our family are thrilled that she is now in a safe and caring home, with lovely staff who care for her.

I am very pleased with the facilities and in particular the staff. My mother-in-law is very happy here and has settled down well.

If I was to make a suggestion for further improvements it would be to reduce the paperwork for the staff, I feel the extent of the paperwork involved causes stress for the staff and takes away their attention to the residents.

On balance, the overall standard of service is just slightly below excellent, marred by the competence of night staff. While I understand it is difficult to find staff appropriately qualified who are willing to work at night, £1000 per week suggests to me that perhaps you should be a little more choosy. However, I do believe there are many retirement homes that are much worse.

I would personally like to thank the staff at Avalon for their care and support during my granddad's final days. The scenery and the environment was 1000% time better than suffering in a hospital.

We even had the service to his funeral at the care home. This gave the staff their opportunity of showing their respect.

I do think this is the way forward...having the service and wake at the care home as the atmosphere is more relaxed.

I came here for a funeral of a resident and was very impressed with the staff who attended the funeral and cared for my partner's grandfather when he was ill.

The service was excellent, well organised and the food was fantastic. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

My cousin moved to Avalon Court in February, and the improvement in her has been amazing. The physio and his exercise class have given her much more mobility. The entertainment team makes sure she is always entertained and loves to join in. The food is not only varied, and nutritional but also very tasty and beautifully presented. The staff and management are all friendly, caring and very patient. They keep us informed at all times about her health and well being. I cannot praise them enough and would highly recommend this care home.
