Overall Experience

My Father had been in Avalon Court for 10 months until yesterday when he passed away. What a lovely home and staff, supportive, caring, clean and respectful. The entertainment team are lovely, with a full programme of stimulating activities. What I particularly liked was the way the home treats all residents with respect and caters for their individual intelligence needs. Dad was sound of mind and was always treated in a mature manner. He attended quizzes, games and discussions which stimulated him mentally and combined with keep fit in his wheelchair this enabled him to keep his physical abilities far longer too. My Brother and I are extremely grateful to all the staff for that care and understanding.

My dad stayed in this care facility in October, care was poor, they did not want someone that needed extra help. It is fine here if you are relatively healthy and need somewhere that provides support, but I am not sure that this is care.

Only put a loved one in here if they have enough about them to ensure their own safety.

Avalon Court is a fabulous place. Mum is always happy and smiling. Staff and carers are always friendly and helpful.
Staff take an interest in every resident and know them all by name, which makes the resident feel cared for and valued.
Plenty of activities and entertainment to keep residents occupied.

Every need is catered for, as a family, we are so glad we found Avalon Court, we all have peace of mind, knowing Mum is so well cared for.

I am not a resident but have been in several times to visit a resident and I have also been in occasionally as a volunteer helper.
I have always been impressed with everything I have seen. The cleanliness and facilities, etc. and the helpfulness of staff.

I have informed my family that when the time comes for me to go into a home I hope it will be the Avalon.

Absolutely delighted at the standard of care my uncle has received. The basic living conditions are like an excellent hotel and beyond that, the staff provide superb medical care and understand his emotional and physical needs and plan to help his anxieties. The opportunity to go on trips out are regular and so many of the staff have excellent one-on-one relationships with him which he and we greatly value.

Came to see my mother and sat on the roof terrace in the sunshine.
Two carers came out and offered us tea and coffee which was extremely welcome.

Everywhere looked neat and tidy and we had a lovely time.
