My mother has been living at Avalon Court for five months now. She has told me every time I have visited that she is in the best place she could be, and that the staff are really nice. She is on first name terms with her carers and dining companions.
Mum enjoys most of the activities available, which
seem to stimulate her and she comments favourably about them during my daily phone call with her. A member of staff will come and encourage her to join an activity if Mum is in her room.
The carers respect her privacy and do not make her do anything she does not want to do even if in some cases it would be in her own interest.
Whenever I have visited I have found the staff helpful and informative. I would not hesitate to recommend Avalon Court.

Dad is extremely happy here and always says that he is well looked after. I like the fact that all the staff - maintenance, reception, housekeeping all know their resident's names and talk to them when they see them.

Avalon Court is a fabulous care home, we really enjoy visiting Grandad. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the unlimited snacks and a choice of hot drinks to have in the beautiful reception/family area helps to make our family time special. My Father had been in Avalon Court for 10 months until yesterday when he passed away. What a lovely home and staff, supportive, caring, clean and respectful. The entertainment team are lovely, with a full programme of stimulating activities. What I particularly liked was the way the home treats all
residents with respect and caters for their individual intelligence needs. Dad was sound of mind and was always treated in a mature manner. He attended quizzes, games and discussions which stimulated him mentally and combined with keep fit in his wheelchair this enabled him to keep his physical abilities far longer too. My Brother and I are extremely grateful to all the staff for that care and understanding.

My dad stayed in this care facility in October, care was poor, they did not want someone that needed extra help. It is fine here if you are relatively healthy and need somewhere that provides support, but I am not sure that this is care.
Only put a loved one in here if they have enough about them to
ensure their own safety.

Avalon Court is a fabulous place. Mum is always happy and smiling. Staff and carers are always friendly and helpful.
Staff take an interest in every resident and know them all by name, which makes the resident feel cared for and valued.
Plenty of activities and entertainment to keep residents occupied.
Every
need is catered for, as a family, we are so glad we found Avalon Court, we all have peace of mind, knowing Mum is so well cared for.

I am not a resident but have been in several times to visit a resident and I have also been in occasionally as a volunteer helper.
I have always been impressed with everything I have seen. The cleanliness and facilities, etc. and the helpfulness of staff.
I have informed my family that when the time
comes for me to go into a home I hope it will be the Avalon.

Absolutely delighted at the standard of care my uncle has received. The basic living conditions are like an excellent hotel and beyond that, the staff provide superb medical care and understand his emotional and physical needs and plan to help his anxieties. The opportunity to go on trips out are regular
and so many of the staff have excellent one-on-one relationships with him which he and we greatly value.

I have over 28 years of experience working within the healthcare sector. I have worked for Avery from 2015, becoming the Home Manager in November 2020.


It is a pleasure to work with such an amazing staff team. I also feel incredibly fortunate to work with our fabulous residents. Making a daily difference to the residents that we support, makes my role worthwhile.
