They all work extremely hard and it is clear to see they are all dedicated to providing the best level of care for the residents. Since my Mum moved in at the beginning of March they have been extremely supportive not only in assisting Mum with all her daily needs but supporting us as a family through some uncertain times. They have kept me fully informed on my Mums changing health conditions and provide a reassuring presence. The care centre is maintain to an exceptionally high standard by all the staff on a daily basis providing a real home from home feel for all that live there and visit. Moving my Mum into Greenacres when her health declined is without doubt the best decision I could have made for her.
Such a dedicated hard working team who really care about each individual resident Always a hug or smile if residents are feeling low Great food and care from kitchen staff who go the extra mile to make sure residents are well fed and feel supported Always a warm welcome to family, carers and friends when visiting residents Beautiful garden for residents and family/friends to sit and watch the birds and squirrels
If there's a better care home than Greenacres I can't imagine where! My brother became a resident in May 2023 after a lengthy struggle to remove him from a less than ideal care home for which I was supported and helped all the way by the manager of Greenacres. Since being at Greenacres his complex health needs have been met with great care, attention and support from an incredible team lead by management, carers and including all the other staff who all work so hard to keep this home up to such a high standard. The fact that it was purpose built is naturally an added bonus with the whole building being light, clean, comfortable and spacious with the beautiful well maintained garden being the jewel in the crown. The food is of a high standard and cooked on sight by a dedicated team in an open plan kitchen and recently awarded a 5 food hygiene rating by the Environmental Health Inspector. There is also a great entertainment program led by an enthusiastic team with much laughter.
My Sister came to Greenacres for convalescence following a hip replacement. Initially for two weeks but she asked to stay a bit longer. She was very happy there. Greenacres has a lovely light, bright atmosphere and is very professionally managed and the care staff are excellent at providing person centred care which is to be applauded. My Sisters well furnished room was ensuite (they all are) and the views great. Access is by lift; stair lift and stairs with staff at hand to help if needed. The decor is very tasteful both internally and externally and spotlessly clean. There is quite an attention made to enrich the day to day activities for residents that my Sister really enjoyed. The food is great; there are fun games for those who wish to partake; light gardening under supervision for those with green fingers wanting to assist with planting on the Terrace. If residents want quiet areas these are provided inside, and outside in the beautiful gardens. There is a TV Room.
My dad has settled in very well. My brother and I feel much better now our dad is getting looked after, nothing seems to be any trouble with all the staff and the staff are very friendly so please pass this on to your staff thank you so much.
Very caring nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Very pleasant as usual and very relaxed.
My mum has been staying at Greenacres for nearly a month. I am delighted with the kindness and care shown by the team members and their clear and prompt communication. It wasn't easy for us to move Mum as her family is scattered, I live abroad but the care team made it easy for us. Mum was given a great choice of rooms and seems to have settled in well. There is a rich schedule of activities for the Christmas period that I am sure Mum will enjoy. I've also noticed that the carers have already figured out just the right things to say to Mum when she gets anxious about her stay. It was a big decision for Mum to move into a care home, but the family is very relieved now that it has happened. Mum values her autonomy but was struggling to live independently and Greenacres seems to provide the right balance of independence and support that she needs. It's still early days, but Mum has decided to become a permanent resident and from our point of view, so far so good!
I cannot rate the hoe and staff highly enough. It was a tough and emotional decision for all the family, however, it was the best move we could have made. Mum is cared for and has been welcomed with open arms as have all the family. Knowing she is safe, happy and cared for brings comfort to us all.
For anyone having to make the extremely difficult decision of having to put their parent; in this instance, our dear Mum into a care home needn't look any further than Greenacres Care Centre! We speak from experience when we say that Greenacres are simply amazing. The management team, general carers/staff are incredible and work tirelessly on behalf of their residents to provide the best care possible. The care home is set within beautiful grounds which adds to the wellbeing of Mum's health. This is the perfect opportunity to say a big 'thank you' to everyone for looking after Mum so well. We have and will continue to recommend Greenacres Care Centre to all.
My mother has been a resident for about 18 months now and the staff continue to provide a high level of care and professionalism. I am confident she receives the best care possible, in what can be a very challenging environment. The home is always clean and tidy, and it puts my mind at rest knowing my mum will receive assistance when I cannot be there due to work commitments. Very pleased with the overall service provided.
I looked, researched and visited numerous care homes over a number of months for my dad who after losing my mum was in a very bad way self-neglect, lonely with significant memory loss he also had two falls I was very afraid of losing him altogether. It had to be somewhere I would live myself. Just as I was about to give up I found the manager and the team at Greenacres. The care home is bright cheerful clean but intimate with a home-from-home feel the atmosphere is upbeat the staff are compassionate and caring but professional and importantly respectful of all their residents. The rooms are a great size and none of them are far away from a member of staff if needed. Dad went in December 2023 and right from day 1 it was like he had always been there all the staff made the transition for Dad and myself so easy, and after 9 months of love care patience and yummy nutritional food he is thriving, Greenacres have a superb activities team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Greenacres to anybody
The team at Greenacres managed, what was a very unsettling and difficult transition, with wonderful care and professionalism. They supported my dad brilliantly and also made sure that the wider family was kept informed and helped to make sure that Dad was settled as easily as possible. Myself and other family members visit regularly and Greenacres is consistently good, the space is clean, Dad's room is tidy and the standard of care is great. The food is always good and the gardens are delightful. For dementia care, the manager and the team are doing a fantastic job. Thank you
After researching many care homes in the area, we were lucky to find Greenacres which stood out above all others for friendliness, compassion and care. Thankfully a room became free exactly when needed and Mum has been there and settled ever since. She never wanted to be in a home, but soon started to enjoy the interaction and people-watching! I am always updated with a status by the team, and communication is excellent.
I cannot thank everyone involved with my mother's care highly enough. The respect and dignity with which my mother was cared for was exceptional. My mother was ill for a long time, so I spent an awful lot of time at the home. They kept me and my mum informed at every stage of her care. They provided me with endless cups of tea, food when necessary, endless cheerful banter. Mum had final stages of dementia but I always felt she was included in conversations regarding her care and health. My mum passed away on 6/6/24 where the home carried out all my wishes for my mum's passing. Greenacres is a first-rate care home.
We have been blessed that we found Greenacres. It is a home full of love, dedication and respect for all the residents and most importantly, the families too. The dedication to care is exceptional, cleanliness is of a high standard. The food is excellent. The beautiful gardens are a place to sit and talk with each, sharing memories. The dedication of the staff is admirable, every single member of staff is kind, caring and has a wonderful sense of humour which is really important to my dad. Greenacres is not just my dad's home but my mum and my family's too. The care and love they show my dad is above and beyond what we would have ever expected. But they also show my mum much love and compassion, for which I am very grateful for. We highly recommend this wonderful home.
Our mother has been resident at Greenacres for 10 months now and from the start has been made to feel welcome, cared for and loved by the staff. What we particularly like about the set-up at Greenacres is it isn't too big. As a result, everyone knows each other, including residents, staff and even the resident's relatives in some instances. Because of this, it feels like a family setting with residents happily chatting to each other and staff. I never thought I would actually look forward to my visits but I do. There are so many wonderful characters in the home. The staff are lovely, open, warm and welcoming. The team organise various activities so there always seems to be lots to do if the residents want to join in, but they're not made to either. There seems to be virtually no staff turnover which speaks volumes. Most of all though it is wonderful to have peace of mind knowing that our mother is happy and being cared for so well. Well done Greenacres, you are stars!
My sister was moved to Greenacres Care Centre on the 23rd of March 2023. I cannot find words to express what this has meant to her, except that she has been given a new lease of life. The changes in her are amazing. I would like to mention the Valentine's Day dance, the amount of work and with so much thought made it an amazing experience, from choosing ball gowns to fit each person perfectly, reorganising the dining room into a dance floor with disco lights, glitter balls and music from their era. Thank you.
Greenacres is a very person-centered care home, in that there is a real emphasis on everyone knowing everyone and interacting with each other. For example, when I visit I am greeted with familiarity and positivity by staff, residents and other family visitors alike and feel part of a community. This home manages to be both professional/ordered, but also totally relaxed and 'homely' at the same time. The staff are attentive, respectful and display great compassion towards residents. The grounds are huge and a real asset. The home is kept clean and tidy. There is a lovely feel to the lounge area and in the adjoining dining area, care is taken to properly lay the tables for meal times. Activities staff are brilliant. Although I’m not allowed to mention names, there are so many I would like to - I like the fact the uniforms are different colours to signify different care roles and that each staff member has their name embroidered on their uniform, really helps the family atmosphere. Bravo.
Living so far away from my mother, it is wonderful to know that she is being looked after so well and that you're welcome to visit at any time. All the staff I've met are really lovely and genuinely caring and take a lot of time with the residents and go that extra mile to make sure they feel safe and secure. My mother has only just moved to the home, but they are gradually encouraging her to join in with some of the daily programme of activities and they do try to take account of her particular likes and dislikes. One of the nicest aspects of the home is the large garden and outside seating area and this is a wonderful place to take Mum for a walk and enjoy nature. Overall, it's a happy place and staff, residents and families seem to have fun, whilst still making sure that the home is run well.
