View Full Details of Fountains Lodge Care HomeMam seems to have settled into Fountains Lodge, although her memory and understanding of what is happening is deteriorating quickly. The staff seems caring and compassionate, and if there is a problem, they will try to deal with it.
My mum has spent 3 months at Fountains Lodge and we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful care she has received there. All the staff are very warm and welcoming and she has been very happy there. I am extremely thankful for all the support I've received as a relative and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fountains Lodge to other families.
My mum-in-law arrived at Fountains Lodge in February 2024 after a very stressful few weeks in hospital only to be told she sadly didn't have long we were lucky enough for a room becoming available and close to family too. The care home itself is lovely, it's bright, plenty of space, the rooms are decorated nicely and it was clean. We settled my mum-in-law in and staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful and kind too as obviously it was stressful for everyone. Well 15 months on and we have sadly just lost my mum-in-law so that time originally given went on far longer than was expected and Fountains lodge became my second home, as visited most days. The staff have been outstanding, not only looking after their resident but us as a family too and right up to the very end their kindness and support has meant a great deal. They have kept us informed right from the start and provided outstanding care from the nurses, carers, catering staff, activity staff to office / reception
I am extremely happy with the care my dad has received at Fountains. He is happy, content and settled, and when I visit him, he is always excited to tell me what he has been doing. The warmth of the staff, along with their caring and professional manner, is first class. They are supportive of my dad and welcoming and friendly to me and my family. Would recommend Fountains to anyone looking for a care home.
All staff are extremely caring and are genuinely interested in what makes the residents happy. The home is kept very clean and the meals appear very nutritious. Safety is paramount and residents are treated with respect
Caring staff, lots of stimulating, entertainment, nice building with lovely gardens. My Mum is as happy as can be there. She enjoys the restaurant style meals shared with her friends...new ones each visit. All staff really engage with her. We are really pleased with the ongoing care and her home.
My mother has been a resident for 4 months. Initially, she wasn't happy being in a care home. The staff have had to deal with her difficult behaviour and abrupt treatment towards staff. She is settled now but doesn't want to participate in any activities. The staff have tried everything to coax her out of her room. My mother is a very difficult person, and they have been working with her.
Mum has been at Fountains Lodge since 2022 due to her complex physical and mental care needs. The care shown has been exemplary, and I have nothing but praise for the nursing staff. The facilities are always clean and well maintained, and the staff show genuine concern for the wellbeing of the residents. I wish all care homes were this good!
Cannot fault the kind and patient staff, great facilities and comfortable accommodation. The team work hard to make every day interesting and it's great to see my Dad feels truly at home, joining in with activities, enjoying the garden and loving the food. Thank you Fountains!
Fountains Lodge is a warm and welcoming place where my mother in law feels comfortable and safe. It is reassuring for us to know that she is well cared for and settled. The staff obviously know the residents well and engage with them in a kind and caring way; a friendly word or a gentle squeeze of the hand means such a lot to mum. We couldn't have chosen a better place.
Christmas Jumper Day. I had a lovely morning with Mum at Fountain Lodge today. There was tea, mince pies, lots of selfies, and laughs. The staff put a lot of effort into the day—everyone had a Christmas jumper on and was very good at making residents feel special and have a good time.
My mother-in-law settled very quickly. She enjoys her room and the many activities. Staff are happy caring and very knowledgable and always have a smile. The home is clean and feels more like a hotel than a care home. We enjoy walks in the lovely garden and drinks in the relaxing reception/cafe area. Residents are put first and foremost, and we can relax knowing that she is safe and being cared for.
I am quite happy living here.
When my sister-in-law could no longer cope alone due to Dementia and Parkinsons she moved to Fountains Lodge. I was worried she would miss her home but she loves it at Fountains it looks on the staff as friends.
Fountains Lodge staff are incredibly caring and have been looking after my father, who has dementia, so well. Facilities are good, everything is extremely clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. The staff take time to communicate well with family. I am so glad my father is here and is being looked after to a very high standard.
Lovely and caring staff and we are always kept up to date with his activities and doings. Residents all seem cared for and content. Facilities are always clean and homely. Regular group activities to get residents out of their rooms and interact.
Mum has been in Fountains Lodge since May 23 and despite deteriorating due to her dementia, she is really happy and content. All the staff are amazing, it's like having an extended family for mum and us. From the welcome we get from the wonderful reception/office team, and the staff on the nurses' stations (sometimes even a hug), to a friendly chat and updates from the carers, and the inclusion from the activities team. I could not be more appreciative of all they do for us as a family.
The staff at Fountains Lodge are truly amazing at what they do. They are all extremely friendly, professional, helpful and take the time to get to know the residents and their families. Whenever myself and my daughter visit, we are always warmly welcomed by all staff. The care home has a wide range of activities for all residents including morning quizzes, and exercise classes and also often has singers come in to sing to all the residents. They also occasionally go out on little outings, my mum recently went to a garden centre and had lunch there! We were unsure about moving my mum into a home. We didn't know how well she would do or cope with such a big change. But in the short space of a few months, she has settled amazingly, and made friends with a few of the residents there and also the staff. Thank you so much Fountain Lodge and all the staff there for being so supportive and amazing!
Dad has been at Fountains Lodge for just over a year. Overall he receives really good care and the staff have a lovely manner with the residents. Staff turnover is low which I think says a lot about the carers. Staff are very friendly and welcoming through from reception to carers to Activities team. Can't fault the Activities schedule and the engagement - there is always something going on. My dad doesn't always want to go to them but the staff have been amazing in persuading him and I often see pictures of him enjoying himself at activities on the Facebook group. My dad is happy and content and I would recommend Fountains Lodge.
