My husband came to Ivy Court October 2025.
It took me a very long time to come to terms with the fact that after 3 years of looking after him at home myself I could not care for my husband at home anymore.
When I came to visit Ivy Court for the first time and meet the team I felt reassured that
what I with the support of my family had decided was the right path for my husband's wellbeing and my health.
So it became easier choosing Ivy Court for my beloved husband and it makes me feel so happy that he is happy there and is loved and respected by all the staff.
The whole team from top to bottom is fantastic and it creates an atmosphere of happiness as far as I am concerned and my family feel the same when they visit.
As you enter the welcoming feel sort of hugs you as all the staff greets you with a welcome smile on their faces.
The kitchen staff from head chef to all the other staff are fabulous and they create yummy food. The entertainment team are smashing too.
Thank you team I/C

mum died at the end of November 2025 and Ivy court contributed to her death. She was on a special diet (puréed/ mince and moist later on) and the staff repeatedly gave her unsafe food. One occasion giving her a plate of ham sandwiches when she was supposed to be on liquid/purée food. Incident have
ranged from a physical slap (with bruises) to bullying by carers and being served cold food. Not being served food at all but entries made in carers notes food had been offered and just complete neglect including my mums bed/bedding smelling of urine.I tried so hard to get her out of this place but it was too late and the last incident which was the 6th/7th mum was cooked a dry cheese omelette which was not even safe with cheese which my mum choked on and was in critical care less than a week. Fluids were not thickened to the right level which also contributed and she died. I'm heartbroken please ignore the "good rating' . It had been in special measure for years!!! See previous CQC

After my fall, I came with my family, came for an interview. The meeting with the manager was very professional but overlaid with care, kindness and empathy. The staff have been wonderful. Always helpful and cheerful, as well as responding to my changing needs. Anyone coming here can be certain of
receiving expert care.

I celebrated my 81st birthday on the 14th July and the kitchens produced a wonderful buffet for the afternoon, sausage rolls to die for, birthday cake, strawberry's and cream. As always the food was so tasty. All the staff helped me enjoy the day, housekeepers, carers and nurses.they all helped me
to make 81 not such a dreadful day to be 81.

After three years bedridden the last three months in Ivy Lodge I could not have asked for more for the excellent way she lived out her last three months of her life. The staff were excellent and made my wife's stay a pleasure which I think she appreciated. The support I received was excellent. I
would recommend Ivy Lodge to any family if a relation has to go into care.

My mum has been at Ivy Court for a couple of months, the care has been outstanding, my mum is treated with dignity and respect. She has been made to feel like one of the family and is so much happier in herself and has become so much more sociable. Family visiting are made to feel so welcome and
nothing is to much trouble.
The surroundings at Ivy Court are beautiful and well cared for. I would just like to thank all the staff for their kindness and support with mum and us as a family.

My mum has been supported so well at Ivy Court. She has been treated with dignity and choice. There are beautiful grounds, wonderful facilities the staff are amazing. Living with Dementia is hard, but with such amazing support, I've seen a little bit of my mum again, she is happy, enjoying herself,
this makes me happy and very grateful.

Since moving into Ivy Court I have noticed a marked improvement in my sisters well being. She is more cheerful with none of the anxiety she experienced previously. She has put on weight and enjoys many of the activities despite being very deaf. A good move I think!

We are always satisfied that Mum is being cared for with dignity and attentiveness. She has dementia so she can be difficult but the staff deal with this well. Her room is kept to the highest standards.

My mother in law moved into Ivy Court very suddenly, when my father in law became terminally ill. The kindness and support from the team, to our entire family, has been outstanding. Six months on, she is settled and refers to Ivy Court as "home". Her physical health has improved and she has formed
friendships with fellow residents. All staff are welcoming and professional. As a family, we appreciate that she is in a safe and happy nursing home.

My husband has been a resident of Ivy Court for two months. He has been treated with the utmost respect, the staff are professional and friendly to the residents and their visitors. They are always willing to answer any questions I have, and always put the residents comfort at priority.

Excellent work by the Ivy Court team, by Manager and team since the last CQC review and really installed pride back in the home, and in the staff and it really shows in the way residents present to you as happy when you visit. It's been a long road to get to this point and the job is not over but
the team need to pat themselves on the back for how well they have pulled together and special mention must go to on lady who always makes me feel she has my relative's (who has advanced dementia) best interests as a priority and she is always treated with dignity (unlike previous care home) It's so important Head office recognises the work these core staff are doing and don't lose them and see things return to the dark days where things were in the main covered by agency staff and there was a lack of leadership. This result achieving GOOD in the CQC is deserved recognition and hope it will help the team's self-belief to get to Outstanding at the next assessment. Well done to all!

When I was looking for a care home for my mother my sister and I naturally researched previous inspections of various homes. Ivy court had an inspection I think around about 2020 ish. One or two things were highlighted but we still decided to visit. Recommendations had clearly been addressed and we
had no worries at all. It's an impressive place and we didn't hesitate to have mum there. It's so well equipped and immaculate throughout. The staff have been superb and amazingly caring in mother's complex needs. The communication has been first class. There are various pastimes for residents and lovely gardens. The manager runs a very good home and is a nice guy. I would not hesitate to recommend Ivy Court. My mum sadly passed away Boxing Day but the staff were so lovely and caring in our loss. I cannot thank them all enough.

Our experience so far has been excellent. All the staff are very kind and caring. The management is professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Mum's room is light, warm and comfortable with a nice view of the garden. There is good communication. Mum is encouraged to take part in the activities
arranged. We are very happy with Ivy Court.

My husband has been a resident at Ivy Court for 2 months. I visit him every day for 2 hours or more, and at different times of the day, and therefore have a good view of how it works. The management and reception are excellent, the day and night nursing staff also. Everyone is willing to chat. They
also ring me if there are any concerns regarding my husband. Everywhere is clean and light. The food is good and caters for special diets. The carers are friendly and patient. They hold twice daily activities which are good fun for those who want to partake. I am impressed also by how everything relevant to the resident is logged. I cannot fault Ivy Court. The garden is lovely.

The home has been so supportive in all aspects of Mum's care. The communication is fantastic, any question I can find people. They are brilliant. Mum is 20 minutes in Ivy Court. The care home has put everything in place that she could possibly need. Everyone is so kind and friendly. The Home Manager
is amazing.

My partner who has advanced Alzheimer's disease spent a week respite at Ivy Court in February 2024. Unfortunately, he was hospitalised for six weeks in June with pneumonia which advanced his disease so he now needs end-of-life care. He was transferred to Ivy Court at the beginning of August and the
staff have been so kind and caring to him, he is always well cared for and the staff are very supportive of me. They have encouraged me to be involved in planning his care and they do all they can to make his life as pleasant as they can. I am a retired nurse and I know the challenges care staff face each day, but everyone works hard to ensure the residents get the best possible care. His room is light and airy and is always spotlessly clean. The main building is modern and well laid out with good facilities and a beautiful garden, and again always very clean and tidy. The management staff are always ready to listen if I have any concerns and all the staff are kind and courteous.

Ivy Court is a lovely friendly care home in a peaceful road just outside the centre of Norwich. It is very well run by an experienced manager with the kind and attentive staff including a great chef and an incredibly helpful maintenance director. It is very modern and has a beautiful garden which is
fully accessible.

From start to finish, fully enjoyed her first stay at Ivy Court. The whole team were friendly and helpful and she would have no worries about having to return for further respite, which is great news. We were kept appraised throughout her stay of any issues that arose. Everyone made us all feel
welcome, even the head chef made her, her favourite sweet upon her request. Cannot fault anything, keep up the good work.

When the decision is made to place a loved one into care it’s not always easy to choose. Ivy Court made the decision easier. With ensuite bathrooms and bright spacious bedrooms it seemed the perfect fit for someone needing nursing care yet allowing for as much independence as possible given the
prognosis.
The best part is my father-in-law is welcome to go at any time and is always made incredibly welcome.
I have seen lovely and caring staff.
I love that each floor has its own dining room and lounge allowing for familiarity, safety and creates a small friendly atmosphere..
I really am grateful for everything Ivy Court has done so far from a smooth admission to taking care of my loved one.
