View Full Details of The Lindsay Care HomeMy sister has been well cared for and the staff have been very patient. The care home is very friendly and I have been kept informed at all times about problems with my sisters health.
The Lindsay Care Home is like a four-star hotel with nursing care. The staff are professional, friendly and welcoming and show a caring attitude to the residents. I felt welcome every time I went there, but more important, my sister in law is happy there.
I am a visitor bringing a wife to see her husband 3 times a week. On arrival greeted by staff and made very welcome. When going to his room all staff speak and make a drink when given him one even when very busy. They work very hard and stop to help when needed. I have my hair done and hair dresser is very good.
I have been very impressed by the high standards of care from all the staff here. Everyone has been extremely pleasant and attentive and competent. It is a very friendly, professional and reassuring place to be, especially as I have just left hospital.
My husband has received good care kept fed and watered and he likes communicating with staff. Thank you for all of his care. I appreciate it. He likes coffee and can be heard calling coffee coffee also he expects it straight away. He is very good doing exercises thank you.
I would recommend The Lindsay most certainly. The staff very friendly and kind and very helpful. Every floor is so clean fresh and tastefully done, and comfortable and I love their light fittings.
My mum moved into The Lindsay after not being able to cope at home on her own any longer. Since she 1st moved in, the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The home is always lovely and clean. The food looks amazing.
I am restricted with number of words. I had concerns about Mum's care up to Feb 2025 when she passed away after 5+ years at The Lindsay. During that time there were 6 changes of manager and countless issues, some serious enough to report to both the CQC and local authority. My main concern was call bell response times. The current manager took 4 months to formally apologise about such issues with Mum's care early this year. I also reported to BUPA several H&S concerns which could have affected residents, visitors and staff... why did it take a relative to point out hazards! Why didn't I move Mum elsewhere? Well, her first years at The Lindsay were mostly under Covid restrictions and then, with her Alzheimer's, it was deemed best for her to stay in the environment which was familiar. Therefore my only hope was to fight for improvement... but it was stressful and exhausting for me to do so, and the home has just been upgraded from "Requires Improvement" to "Good" by the CQC.
My sister has been at the Lindsay for two weeks. I have been very impressed with the staff and the facilities . The caregivers are all friendly and has made my sister feel at home. I am welcomed whenever I come to visit, and having shared a meal with her, I was very impressed with the food. I was particularly impressed that staff have made an effort to include my sister in activities.
To say that one member of staff, every time I come to see my gran, she always goes above and beyond, her laughter and quick wit is infectious. She is, to me, what seems to bind the building together. Also, the member of staff on reception always remembers me, good front of house.
A lovely place to live and the care is second to none, I have been very impressed with all that I have seen.
Excellent food and service in the dining room. Staff were consistently patient and helpful.
Dad very happy, and well looked after. Always enjoys the food.
My Dad has been in The Lindsay Care Home 3 weeks now, and he has settled very well. The staff are very friendly, kind and take a genuine interest in my Dad. The food is amazing, and it's so good to see Dad enjoying his food again. His room is spacious and clean; we are just waiting for PAT testing so Dad can have his smart speaker, and waiting for some pictures to be put up on the wall. Overall, all of us are really pleased and relieved with the care Dad is receiving. Thank you.
The staff are excellent, wonderful activities for all residents. My mum is very happy living in The Lindsay, loves the food and enjoy he outings.
Outstanding End of Life care for my 98 year old Mother. After a stay in hospital, Mum returned to The Lindsay Care Home for end of life care. Staff popped in to welcome her back, spend time with her, make her smile, checking on her comfort and her physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, whilst being mindful of us and recognising we wanted to spend time with her. I was so very moved by the love, care and respect for Mum's dignity throughout this very difficult time. My husband and I spent 3 days with Mum before she died and were touched by the gentleness, consideration and thought given, not just to Mum, but to us, as relatives too. Senior staff kept us abreast of developments and checked with us at each stage as to how we wished to move forward, the proceedings and what would happen next. When Mum passed away, staff were so very thoughful of our needs. They came up to pay their respects and all had something lovely to say about her. I am so grateful to you all. Thank you.
Staff are very helpful and kind, helping Mum to settle in, and keep safe. Plenty of activities for Mum to be involved in, and very prompt and sensible attention when she was unwell. Mum likes the meals and says she has friends there, which has helped her settle too. For me, staff are very helpful and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. Very pleased.
The staff are always pleasant and demonstrate a very caring and comfortable environment. The one-to-one care is exceptional - and it is a real comfort to know my friend is so well looked after - she also is calm and relaxed when the carer is attending.
I count myself extremely fortunate to have been able to have my wife accepted as a resident in The Lindsay Care Home. The care she is receiving is exemplary, and it is a great comfort to know that she is safe and superbly looked after. I spend some five hours every day at the home, giving me ample opportunities to assess the attitude and professionalism of the staff. They are magnificent in every respect, from the cleaners and the kitchen staff to the nurses and activities personnel to the management team.
The home and its staff provided the perfect post-operation recovery service. Supportive without being intrusive. I thoroughly recommend for a few weeks of post-operative care.
