View Full Details of Ridley ManorFive star from the moment of arrival. Extremely happy for my mother to be able to come to Ridley Manor. Every member of staff is professional, truly kind and caring and the purpose built home affords a very efficient yet homely feel. Five Star.
My 91-year-old father moved into Ridley Manor in March 2025. He lost his wife in September 2024 and was struggling to cope on his own. He was made to feel very welcome from day one and soon settled in and began to make friends. There were plenty of activities going on and he was encouraged to join in with whatever appealed to him. He enjoyed having people around to chat and have a laugh with. However, just prior to moving into Ridley Manor he was diagnosed with a terminal condition, and his health deteriorated rapidly. So, sadly his time there was cut short. The care that he received during those final weeks and days was excellent. The staff could not do enough for him and looked after him with kindness and compassion. We will be forever grateful that we chose Ridley Manor to take care of my dad at this difficult time.
My Dad (91) has recently become a resident at Ridley Manor and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support my Dad has received. From the first day, the staff have created a warm, welcoming, and truly homely environment. The team are attentive and kind, treating residents with the dignity and respect. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. There's a strong emphasis on keeping residents engaged with a wide variety of activities, which has had a noticeably positive effect on my Dad's wellbeing. Most importantly, I have complete peace of mind knowing my Dad is in safe hands. Communication from the home is excellent and they keep us regularly updated. Thank you to everyone at Ridley Manor for your continued dedication.
Rooms- good size, good quality, furniture, layout, outlook Staff- good relationship with clients and also visitors, efficient and welcoming. Restaurant- good and layout and not institutional, good selection on the menu with lots of choice.
The nursing staff are wonderful at Ridley Manor. Mum has had a lot of infections in the past 12 months. She falls fast and a few hours can make the difference between staying at the home or hospitalisation. For a dementia sufferer with hearing loss, hospital is traumatic and distressing. Their ability to notice minute changes in mum and the speed with which they have got doctors to prescribe antibiotics have stopped mum going to hospital more than she has, and unnecessarily. Their genuine care is much appreciated. The carers are kind, thoughtful and keen to always improve her wellbeing. The home is clean and well appointed with lovely activities. Thank you.
I had to find a care home for my elderly neighbour he is 93 and has dementia nursing staff and social services said he could no longer have at live at home on his own. Never married. I have been his neighbour for 54 years and have POA he has no family, so was left to me to find him a care home, he has always lived in the home on the end, so went to see Ridley Manor. I liked what I saw so he went into respite care for 4 weeks. Settled in well so now in for longterm. He has a lovely room, the staff are very caring. He is looked after very well, he loves the food, he's kept nice and clean, likes all the staff. Ridley Manor have put my mind at rest, to know I have done the right thing for my neighbour.
From the time I entered the revolving doors to the day I left Ridley Manor I was happy. The staff were magnificent and nothing was ever too much trouble for ANYONE. Entertainment was varied and good I most enjoyed the visits of the little children from the local nursery who very obviously were delighted to be visiting us. The cleanliness throughout the building was exemplary You could have company or just enjoy being on your own whichever you preferred The gardens were beautiful and strolling through them in warm sunshine was delightful The food was varied and there were always choices both in the main corses and sweets The memory of names and preferences of the residents by the staff amazed me. I arrived feeling under parr and left feeling so very much better. Thank you Ridley Manor
Mum attended Ridley Manor for 4 weeks respite care following a fall. It was just the tonic she needed. She has returned home more alert, positive, and mentally and physically stronger. The staff were so attentive giving us the confidence mum was in safe hands.
Mum came into Ridley Manor for a 2-month Respite period. The care and support all the staff provided for my mother over this period was excellent and provided my mother and the family assurances that my Mum would be cared for during a very challenging period. The staff went above and beyond to ensure Mum was provided the tailored care and support she needed, which enabled Mum to thrive in the care home, getting involved in all of the activities that kept Mum active, engaged, social, and happy. It was a hard decision placing Mum in a care home, but I can honestly say it was the right one for everyone, thanks to the facilities and staff provided by Ridley Manor.
My Father went in for 1 month of respite care and left having had a very good experience. The staff were very caring and friendly and treated him with warmth and respect. It was a very positive experience for him.
My mother has been at Ridley Manor for 6 months. The care, support, facilities, and communication is excellent. Last Sunday she became very unwell and confused. The care and kindness of the staff was fantastic. She had to go to hospital and we are pleased that she is back now. The professionalism shown by the staff keeping in contact with us and the hospital was exemplary. Thank you.
Mum came to Ridley Manor for a respite stay following a couple of falls at home. She was quite shaken up when she arrived but was so well looked after that she soon relaxed and settled in very well. The staff were unvaryingly kind and helpful and genuinely gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. Mum's stay at Ridley Manor ultimately lasted eight weeks and by the end of the period her condition had improved, this improvement being due, I am sure, to the care she received during her time there.
My stepfather moved to Ridley Manor in 2022 and has been a resident ever since. He has always been treated very well, with sensitive care and professional consideration as his condition has deteriorated. I have been regularly updated on his general well-being, his happiness, and with reports on any incidents. This is of particular importance as it is not possible to visit the home. The staff are all good at communicating quickly and with genuine kindness.
My mum needed urgent respite care, and the manager at RM facilitated this within a few hours. Mum's experience at RM - over a 2-month stay - has been far beyond what we had hoped: the attention from all the staff, the quality of the food, the surroundings, and the evidently high standard of maintenance were all huge positives, and during her stay, Mum has recovered from being a very poorly old lady to one who is much brighter and back to her normal self (actually, back to the normal self she was a year ago!). Mum made friends at RM, which was an obvious bonus, and the layout of the rooms (including the shared ones) clearly contributed to a good social experience, creating an atmosphere a very long way from my previously blinkered impression of what care would be like: closer to a well-run hotel, with caring staff always in evidence and with a good community spirit amongst the residents.
My sister moved into Ridley Manor in September against her will! It was a very traumatic time but all the staff have shown us both only kindness, care, and compassion, and to me, she seems happier than she has been for a long while. Thank you.
My father moved into Ridley Manor in August, after living with me for 28 years this was a heartbreaking decision to make. However, I can truly say that 12 weeks later I can not believe how happy my father is, it has not been an easy transition for him or me but the love support, and kindness we have received from everyone at the care home has been outstanding.
I have been a resident since the very day in 2022 when they took over. I have been well and kindly looked after. I feel I have a good relationship with the carers, entertainment staff and various department heads and management. Ridley Manor has become a safety net for me currently.
I chose Ridley Manor for my sister's palliative care because I was very impressed with the accommodation set in beautiful surroundings. The kindness of the staff and managers also helped in make a difficult decision in which place was best for my sister's life to end. I made the decision to choose Ridley Manor and I was not disappointed as the loving care my sister received could not be faulted. I would like to thank all staff for the care they gave my sister and for bringing her life to a peaceful end.
Finding residential accommodation for my brother was difficult until I “happened” upon Ridley Manor. The building is purpose designed so everything is laid out carefully. It’s the staff though that make this an excellent choice. From my first dealings with the Care Home management, I sensed that this was going to be my first choice. Having now settled my brother there I can confirm that Ridley Manor fully lives up to expectations. Residents are really cared for and relatives are included not just in decisions about their loved ones but are invited to regular meetings, in-house and online, to discuss any general matters that might arise. Social events, of which there are numerous, always include relatives too. The care concept is extended to us as part of the “Ridley Family”. The atmosphere is that of a happy environment with every need met by staff and I am confident that my brother is in the very best of hands. I highly recommend Ridley Manor.
It was my mother's friend's 100th birthday and the staff put on a wonderful party for her with dancing, wonderful food and an amazing cake! She is obviously very well cared for and happy at Ridley Manor.
