View Full Details of Hartfield House Care HomeDuring my 2 week respite stay, I found everyone extremely kind and helpful.
As a volunteer, I visit Hartfield House on regular occasions. The home is always very calm. Staff very friendly & helpful. Cleanliness is exceptional. Residents are always happy and appear well cared for.
The staff have been excellent & I know Mum is at a good place & well looked after.
My in law has been staying for several weeks at Hartfield and has been very well cared for. All the staff have been kind and caring. The facilities are excellent, and there have been a variety of things to keep them entertained. The premises are safe and secure with lovely gardens. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy
All the staff at Hartfield House made my husband's last 4 months very happy & peaceful. He thought he was living in a 5-star hotel! The care & friendly atmosphere was unbelievable, and I couldn't recommend the home more highly.
I have recently spent time using Hartfield House for respite following surgery. The care has been outstanding, and I have made a lot of improvement as a result of the wrap-around care I have received. I have met some lovely residents and enjoyed their company, and equally, the staff have been very caring. All the staff know the names of residents and greet you when they see you.
Whenever I visit, I am always very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the care and respect the carers show to the residents. There is a very happy atmosphere, and the food is excellent. There are always fresh home made cakes/biscuits available for residents and visitors to help themselves. There are a good range of activities for residents to participate in, which they are greatly encouraged to do.
My wife has been in Hartfield House for nearly 2 years. She has Alzheimer's. Before choosing Hartfield, I visited a number of homes but none came close to providing the care, attention, and facilities that I wanted for my wife. It has taken some time for her to settle in but she, with the help of the nurses, made good progress with the activities on offer.
My mother was there from October 2024 to January 2025. The care she received was sub standard. The carers were OK, but there weren't enough of them so she didn't receive the care she should have. She had recurring UTIs because they didn't retest her and when they did they lost the results twice. At no time did a doctor see her even though we requested it. There was no help integrating with other residents. It was a very lonely place for her. We actually ended up paying for someone to go in twice a week to care for her! She ended up with very bad back pain but still didn't call a doctor or get an X-ray. She was taken to hospital when it got so bad and she died 8 days later of a UTI, kidney problems and sepsis. The regional director was looking in to the problems, and hopefully they are better, but I don't know if it's improved. I wish my mother had never entered Hartfield House. I'm really not sure how you know whether a home is going to be good before someone becomes a resident.
It's lovely to be welcomed and recognised as a relative when I arrive at Hartfield House Care Home, all of the staff know my mum and how she's doing. Hartfield has a family atmosphere and the facilities are well designed and spacious. Hartfield is a new building, specifically designed as a care home. The home retains it's core carers longer term, which is a good sign. The care they give my mum is excellent. Thank you to all the lovely staff.
First impressions were amazing. I would not be happier for my mother to be anywhere else. The staff are awesome and provide amazing support for me as well as mum. All very personal, cleanliness is A1. There is not one aspect of the care home that I doubt. I can relax somewhat, knowing mum is safe, comfortable and being looked after. Thank you.
Excellent facility, my relative was very happy to live at Hartfield House Care Home.
Mum is settling in well. She's been made most welcome and enjoys the relief from looking after herself and being made a fuss of.
My aunt moved in 2 weeks ago. Although I though it would take her a while to settle, she has seemed so happy to be here straight away. The staff have been so kind and welcoming and I feel confident this is the right place for her to live well with her dementia.
From the first moment I met the team at Hartfield House, they have been helpful, tolerant, and supportive to both the resident, my mother, and to myself. The kindness and dedication of the entire staff is exceptional and they always go the extra mile. My stress level has reduced enormously given things like the attentive care team and on-site nurses and doctor which has meant that I know that my mother is cared for in a way that was impossible when she lived in her previous house. There is a very social atmosphere with loads of activities for my mother to get involved with. She is very social and has made good friends in the time she has been there. Hartfield is a lovely place to live with amazing quality, and an abundance, of food. As a result of this my mother is doing so much better, putting on healthy weight, some of the symptoms of her dementia have reduced, and she has a much higher quality of life than she had previously. I could not be happier in choosing Hartfield.
We have been very happy with the care and the facilities. All the staff are extremely helpful.
Excellent service by all staff. Rooms very clean and tidy. Food is excellent. The care to the families of residents is excellent. Highly recommend.
was a very pleasant visit. The food was good. Everything was clean.
My father and stepmother have only been at Hartfield just over 3 weeks but thanks to the care and attention of the staff, they are both feeling and looking better already and have settled in well. They are enjoying the high quality of the food and we are happy with their bright rooms. My father does not get involved with the social activities but is much more communicative now as there is more to stimulate him. My stepmother is loving the activities. Overall I am delighted with Hartfield.
We have been very well looked after since my wife and I arrived here. We like the food, the gardens, we are both very comfortable here and feel very much at home. Everyone is kind and helpful.
