View Full Details of Bridge House Care HomeFrom our first viewing, we knew Mum's needs would be catered for. From the maintenance staff, cleaners, ward sister to reception staff, nothing is too much trouble. They are all so polite and caring. They really know their jobs here! We left Mum in their capable hands with no doubt what so ever that she would be safe and well looked after. They kept us informed continually about Mum's health changes. Bridge House is a care home that other care homes need to take lessons from.
My Mum has been at Bridge House Care Home for a month moving there following a stay in hospital after a fall, It was a big decision to move care homes but one that I am glad we have made. The time spent by the staff getting to know my Mum and understanding her needs has been amazing. There is a lovely atmosphere and genuine kindness. My Mum is enjoying the many activities. I feel very comfortable visiting and it is lovely to be able to sit in the communal areas with my Mum. It was my Mums birthday and we were able to visit as a family with her grand children and great grand children using the day room and the bar area making it a special occasion. The weekly coffee mornings are a good opportunity to have a chat and get to know the other relatives visiting residents. She has a lovely room and it is kept immaculate and clean. My Mum does not have the best appetite but is eating very well. Its a huge decision to have to move a relative into care but so grateful for Bridge House.
My Mother recently spent four weeks at Bridge House - initially for respite due to my impending holiday but with a view to staying permanently. After looking around at Bridge House I was happy for my Mum to go although she was a bit reluctant. I told her she would be well looked after and cared for. However, what I was shown was not what she got and on our return from holiday, I was horrified by what I saw. There was a total lack of care and attention and my Mum was deteriorating rapidly. We got her out as soon as we could. Due to her traumatic time at Bridge House it took her a while to settle at her new Care Home but she is now doing really well and I feel I have got my Mum back again.
The staff at Bridge House Care Home have been amazing from day one. We have been made to feel so welcome and it's like a family here. My husband has had fantastic care from the start and nothing is too much trouble for them to sort. The kindness of the staff is second to none not only for the resident but for all the family members too. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for care for a family member .
Having made the inevitable decision that my mother now needed full time care I visited several care homes. Bridge House stood out especially with the modern building purposely built for a care home. Fortunately there was a vacancy and we were able to bring several items from mums home to make her room feel homely. The management and staff have been absolutely brilliant. They have not been able to do enough for my mother and have been very supportive to myself. Mum gets involved in the entertainment programme and afternoon teas. Mums birthday was made especially specially by the team at Bridge House. Thanks everyone for everything.
My husband has been on floor 3 at Bridge House coming up to 2 years and is unable to walk due to his dementia. He is bedbound and is repositioned several times a day. The carers work hard and one so kind and understanding to his needs. His skin is very sensitive and easily breaks into sores. His room is spotless. His clothes and bedding go to the laundry and returned within 24hrs. His meals are plenty & solved by management quickly. I feel very comfortable leaving my husband in their hands when I go home each day.
I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care my mum received at Bridge House over the last 6 years. From day one, the staff demonstrated genuine kindess, compassion and professionalism. They took the time to understand her individual needs and ensured she felt comfortable and valued. The facility was always clean, warm and welcoming, with a homely atmosphere that put both mum and family at ease.
The staff at Bridge House are special. They have all done their very best to provide excellent care for my sister. They work incredibly hard and go above and beyond to personalise the care and give it with compassion, respect and a sense of humour. The slogan for Bridge House is 'kindness lives here', it certainly does.
Extremely good. Would highly recommend.
Our family feel very comfortable with the care provided and being local gives us easy access and have always found the staff attentive to my mothers needs. And am immediately contacted if an issue arises. A lovely homely care home, we feel lucky to have Bridge House so near.
I honestly cannot thank the staff at Bridge House enough for the help and support they gave my mum over the 6 months she had in their care. As mum stayed for periods on every floor, due to changes in her needs because of her condition, I can say with hand on heart that everyone goes out of their way to make residents feel supported and comforted in an environment which really feels like family and a home away from home for them. Their kindness and compassion has no bounds - not only are they there for their residents, but also for their families and loved ones through good and also difficult times - you really are guardian angels. Thank you for everything and can honestly say that I miss seeing you all and will continue to support you in any way I can x
To have to move a loved one from hospice to a nursing home is frightening. But from the lovely receptionist, nurses and carers at Bridge House Care Home, we were looked after as a family. My sister, the patient, received all the medical attention she needed along with all the care and kindness. The staff are like one big family and work together to ensure patients are happy and go the extra mile to make sure all their needs are catered for. A great big thank you Bridge House for helping us through a traumatic time. We will always be grateful.
All the staff, from management down to carers and cleaners, were brilliant. Nothing was too much. Everything that Mum required in her final weeks of life was provided to make her feel comfortable and at ease. Communication was excellent, especially when it was said that she didn't have long to live, giving us the opportunity to be with her for her final breath. Spotlessly clean and more like a five-star hotel with first impressions putting us at ease meaning it was a pleasure to visit.
Do not look anywhere else, the staff in Bridge House Care Home are sent from heaven. My mum's time in care could not have been better, not only did they care for my mum, they cared for every visitor she had. The facilities are wonderful.
My mum was at Bridge House Care Home from October to December for two months. Mum, very sadly, passed away there on Thursday 5th December. We were so very impressed at how staff from all levels showed so much dignity and respect to Mum and us at this very difficult time. We feel very lucky that our mum was able to spend the last few months of her life in this nursing home and to receive the care, support and humour that the staff provided. Huge thank you to everyone.
I attended a relatives meeting at the care home to listen and contribute, the meeting was very well put together making sure all relevant points were covered according to the agenda and also any issues that we had were answered and made note of, the meeting was attended by different staff from different departments so all questions where given a appropriate answer, all the information was put to us in a very professional manner making sure that we understood all the points.
Thanks for all the care you gave my dad. He was only with you a short time, five months, you made a huge difference, looking after Dad who couldn't do anything for himself due to late-stage Alzheimer's. As sad as it is to know he has passed, you gave us the last day with him and supported us, as a family, up to his last breath, contacted the funeral director for us too, we will always remain grateful. The home itself, all staff/carers, we will always remember your dedication and dignity to Dad. Thank you.
My mother moved into Bridge House Care Home in August. She was allowed to bring some furniture and pictures which helped her settle in. The staff are all wonderful. They are very patient and look after all of the residents very well. She is taken into the shared dining room every day which is good because there is always something happening. Very pleased she is at Bridge House.
Our dad was a resident of Bridge House Care Home, for what turned out to be the final four months of his life. Bridge House was welcoming from the first visit, with easy visiting access at all times. Dad was on floor two and his family want to express thanks for the professionalism and care shown to dad by all the staff. While there were a few teething issues getting Dad settled, these were soon sorted. The whole family were grateful for the efforts made by the nursing staff in particular, to keep Dad out of hospital and make sure he was settled and happy. We are grateful that he was able to spend his final days at Bridge House being looked after by staff who knew him and cared for him. All round, great experience, would highly recommend this care home. Staff and management are brilliant. They really looked after my mother in her last year of life. Thanks for the care and help. We would use again.
