View Full Details of Ruddington Manor Care CentreFrom the first visit, we were overwhelmed by the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. This was particularly important to us and hugely reassuring that our dear mother was in, not only a delightful environment, but also a home surrounded by love and comfort. She regularly tells us how happy she is how wonderful the care is. That is all that we could ask for. Thanks to all of you.
My mother turned 99 years old in July and for a dementia sufferer she was in excellent health, unfortunatley after her Birthday she got a water infection and her health plummeted to the point that we all felt she was dying, but with the exceptional care and encouragement from the whole care team, she was nursed back to health within the month. I feel Ruddington Manor Care Home is certainly a place I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a loving, caring and homely establishment for their loved one.
The staff at Ruddington Manor are very kind and welcoming whenever I visit and speak to my mum, who has a number of medical issues, including a hearing impairment, very patiently and kindly. They are encouraging her to take part in all the social activities, which are varied and numerous. The building is new, organised and very clean, as are all the rooms I've been in. The facilities are excellent, as is the menu. I'm happy knowing Mum is well cared for.
I feel it's a nice home, staff is polite when I come to see my friend.
Every member of staff is excellent. As I live in Canada it is very reassuring that my mother is being well cared for. The home is very nice and clean. I know my mother is a bit of a character, but she seems to know all of the staff names and she loves each and everyone of them. Thank you so much from myself and my daughter for all your beautiful work. Regards to each and everyone of you.
This nursing home is truly exceptional! The care shown towards my father and family has been nothing but outstanding. I feel my father is safe and well cared for. All members of staff are very kind and caring. Genuinely have not found any room for improvement.
I am truly grateful for the care support been shown to my father in law. He himself says daily how happy he is there and how friendly the staff are. He particularly likes the food! Whenever we have a query or request this is dealt with immediately.
Choosing a home for your loved one is a massive decision. My mum has been at Ruddington Manor for 16 months now, initially for respite care, but this became permanent as she settled so well. The team are fantastic and genuinely care about the residents. I have confidence they are looking after my mum and any questions or requests I have made have been quickly assured and addressed. My mum is happy and I have peace of mind knowing she is safe. I am extremely grateful to the who team at Ruddington Manor for the excellent job they do! Thank you!
This care home is not fit for purpose the treatment my mother in law received was a joke. She was left for hours in her own mess even though we pressed the buzzer because staff came in and turned buzzer off then we are left waiting well over an hour in most cases. Her drinks was left out of reach and also left in just her pad and pants. We had a number of issues with some members of staff and the management well that's a completely different 1 star review. After 6 months of battling everyday we finally got her out after involving adult social services and the CQC. Most 5 star reviews are buy members of staff or their sister home. This has never been a care home the manager even threatened to call the police and put a safe guard on us lol on us.. I did also comment of a another social media platform, but funny enough all positive comments was by staff the true negative comments was all deleted funny that.
We reviewed the home months ago and gave a 5* to help members of staff get a cash incentive. That member of staff deserved it. Over last few months the care rapidly declined. We've had several meetings with management, some with aurthorities involve. Issues such as basic human needs not being met. Drinks being left out of reach, falls alarms not working properly. No encouragement or prompting to eat or drink when it is in care plan. {over 6 stone weight lost} encouragement to socialise was good when mum was mobile but they would rather leave her in bed than try until we reported them. Communication between office staff is non existent to those working on the floors. Very high staff turn over. Since January we've seen several decent caring team leaders and nurses leave. The management are very click at protecting the staff rather than the residents. I could go on and on.... But best thing that happened with mum is we've got her out of there. I am very happy with the care that I receive. Staff are wonderful. They are there when I need them. Very friendly and support me well. Everything is good here and I am supported well.
Most importantly, my friend has socialised with others, building such good friendships and communicating with others is what she needed. The wellbeing programme has made her happy again, I've not seen her so relaxed in such a long time. She's always presented immaculately, which was important to her, she always has a fresh manicure! The Wellbeing Team always ensure that my friend is able to watch the Sunday Service which means a lot to us. We have no negatives at all. My friend is so much happier since being at Ruddington Manor, enjoying all of the different meals with her friends, eating so much better than she has in a long time! Her mental health has come on so much, she loves the gardens and the team always make sure she gets time to feed the birds and spend time outside. The carers make sure she feels at ease, everybody is made to feel that they matter, my friend, her husband and us who are made to feel so welcome when we visit. Thank you to all at Ruddington Manor!
My rother and I would like to commend Ruddington Manor for the exceptional care the they provided for our Mum. She was only a resident for 2 1/2 weeks, as her health unexpectedly declined very quickly. The staff did everything they could to integrate her into the Ruddington Manor community, but her discomfort kept her mainly in her room. The medical and social care from every member of staff that we interacted with, from housekeeping, through catering to nursing, was exemplary. The home itself is far more like a 5* hotel than a nursing home. We cannot thank them enough and have no hesitation in recommending Ruddington Manor to anyone looking for accommodation for a loved one.
Let me tell you something about Care Homes - most of them smell deeply unpleasant! Not Ruddington Manor - this presents more like a 5* hotel. Our initial interaction with the manager was immediate, efficient and welcoming, and that sense of devolved solution-orientated team approach cascaded down through all the staff with whom we came into contact. As a purpose built modern facility, it obviously has design advantages over some of its more dated competitors, but it's not just the building that makes the experience so good. - It's the people. Mum needed immediate and constant end of life care, and Ruddington Manor delivered that. Having quality kitchens preparing fresh bespoke meals is by no means a 'given', - mum's requirements were challenging, and they met them with grace and patience. Her room was spacious and well fitted, and although she wasn't able to make much use of the cinema room and outings herself, these are just great things for the patients. Well done and thank you
Well run home staff are very friendly and helpful. Management try hard.
My mum is very well cared for in Ruddington Manor, and overall it is a very happy and pleasant place to be. The staff are very attentive and patient, and their hard work and dedication are very much appreciated. Also, the Well Being Team do an excellent job in keeping the residents occupied with an array of day-to-day activities.
From my first phone call at the point where we were struggling with home care, to the first meeting with a member of staff. We have nothing but praise for the staff at Ruddington Manor, managers, care staff, entertainment team, kitchen staff, porter and reception team are all amazing. Professional, patient and very caring. They made my father in law feel immediately at home making his transition from home to residential care very comfortable. He was introduced to all other residents and staff and was made to feel so very welcome. They also did the same to myself and my wife. We were welcome anytime, the kettle always ready to make tea and always a home made cake available. The team looked after my father in law magnificently for the last period of his life, he enjoyed every minute, he made some wonderful friends and touched the hearts of many. We would highly recommend Ruddington Manor Care Home.
My good friend has been in Ruddington manor for about 6 months I visit him a few times a week .the day staff are very kind and always take good care of the residents. I don't see anything of the night staff but on a few occasions when the residents are being help to get dressed in the morning thay cut corners and miss certain items of clothing which is annoying just a few more minutes of thought would make all the difference.
I am always made very welcome when visiting Ruddington Manor Care Centre. The team are very friendly, my husband is treated very well, if there should be a problem, it is addressed quickly. The home is very clean, there are plenty of activities for people to join. The food menu has plenty of choices too.
Ruddington Manor have the most amazing, caring friendly staff who look after all the residents with such care and compassion They really do go above and beyond looking after their guests The entertainment/ activities they provide for the guests is just fabulous
