mum's been staying in Barony lodge for three years now and she's had her ups and downs with her condition (dementia)
But she's very well looked after by the staff who do a tremendous job looking after and entertaining the residents.
It gives me peace of mind that mum's in a safe environment.

All the staff go above and beyond to ensure residents feel comfortable, happy and secure. Nothing is too much trouble for loved ones and the extended family. Personally I am impressed and grateful for the high level of attentive and professional support provided. The setting is well managed ,
spotlessly clean, with an atmosphere of calm . Family members are welcome to visit at any time. A lovely touch is the opportunity to share a meal together in a private area.

Mum moved into Baraony Lodge in December 2025. It was a very difficult time for me and my sisters, however the deputy manager and all the staff have been so kind and supportive, not only to mum but to us and the family. They made us all so welcome allowing mum to settle in relatively quickly. The
hygiene standard is amazing, everywhere is so clean. All staff are really friendly, patient and professional in their approach to the care they provide to all residents. It is a pleasure to visit mum and spend time with her in the lounge/dining area of barony Lodge. I have to also comment on the exceptional standard and quality of the food at Barony Lodge, my sisters live in Devon and have enjoyed meals with mum when they travel up to visit her. I/we can relax knowing mum is being well cared for and her every need catered for. She also enjoys the daily activities provided at the care home with new friends she has made there.

My parents moved into Barony Lodge for respite care in early January 2026. Sadly my dad passed away a short while after they moved in. My mum chose to remain as a full-time resident and is very happy with her decision. She is very well looked after by the staff who are all very caring and helpful
and as she puts it 'they all have time for me and nothing is too much trouble'. She likes the food very much and the surroundings. There are plenty of activities available for those who wish to join in. As a family we are very impressed with all aspects of Barony Lodge and feel confident that mum is receiving the best care. All the staff are friendly and approachable and we know she is in safe hands. Thank you for caring.

I am very pleased with the care my husband has received at Barony Lodge. I have been extremely impressed with the friendliness of staff and the imaginative ways used to engage my husband and help him to settle. I am also grateful for the way staff have supported me on this journey.

Since Dad moved here in Oct '25 we have been waiting for a glitch/ niggle but we are pleased to say there have been none. From the day to day care, night care, housekeeping, site maintenance, catering, activities to administration everyone has been welcoming, polite efficient and knows Dad by name.
We couldn't have found a better placement for him and our thanks extend to all at Barony Lodge.

We were naturally anxious and apprehensive about moving mum into care. Barony Lodge couldn't have been kinder, more supportive or more helpful. They listened and understood our concerns then bent over backwards to make mum feel comfortable and at ease. The staff are beyond amazing, They're cheerful,
helpful, kind and caring, literally nothing is too much trouble, The food is excellent, the menu varied but if there's nothing on the menu you like they will find you something else. Barony Lodge is spotlessly clean, like a 5 star hotel. We didn't think mum would settle and had contingency plans in place but she is very happy. There are many and varied activities if residents want to join in but equally they are encouraged to choose and be independent. I can't recommend Barony Lodge highly enough.

My mother has been resident here for over four years. Throughout that time she has received exemplary care from all who work at Barony Lodge. The staff treat her with gentleness, respect and kindness. We could not have wished for a better experience. Although bed bound now, she still enjoys her
one-to-one time with carers, who go out of their way to make her feel included in the care home life. She is always dressed nicely, the standard of cleanliness is excellent, and catering staff make a real effort to make sure she has her favourite foods to encourage her to eat her meals.

Me and my family are all very confident in having a family member here as we are allowed to visit often, kept up to date with his well-being & he is kept active with daily activities. We are also confident in staffs care overnight & one to one!

Mum became a resident on the 6 February. We've been very pleased with the high standard of care provided at Barony Lodge Care Home. All the staff are very helpful, cheerful and are a credit to Sanctuary in how they care for residents. The staff clearly take great pride in everything they do. We are
very pleased with how Mum has settled into her new life and the staff are responsible for her smooth and successful transition. Thank you for everything you do for your residents.

Mum settled in quickly and the staff looking after her were all lovely. They were so kind and caring, I know she was well looked after. The staff were also very supportive of myself and my sister which was hugely beneficial and reassuring to us. We would have no hesitation in using Barony Lodge
again in the future if we need respite care again.

My husband has been a resident in Barony Lodge for the past year. Although he resisted going into care he settled down immediately, a great comfort to the family.
Barony Lodge stands out for its warm and caring atmosphere and sense of fun. There is a family feel about it - a top class home.

My father has been at Barony Lodge for a month now. It took him a couple of weeks to settle in, but thanks to the support and kindness of all the staff, he has adjusted well. We visit most days and are always made to feel welcome, which gives us great peace of mind knowing that Dad is safe and being
well cared for.
The environment is consistently clean and tidy, and there are activities tailored to the residents most days, which helps create a positive and engaging atmosphere. I am really pleased with the care and community here, and I hope this will be the place my father continues to call home. I would happily recommend Barony Lodge to others looking for a supportive and caring environment for their loved ones.

It's been just over 3 weeks since Dad joined you now and it feels like he's always been there (in a nice way for us not sure about everyone else!). Everyone has made him, and us, feel so welcome and we just wanted to share with everyone how much we appreciate it. It was a hard decision that we
weren't expecting to make and you have all made it more bearable thank YOU ALL so much.

We visited my Mum during the care home's (first) bonfire night party. It was so good to see the effort that all the staff had gone to to enable as many residents (and family and friends) as possible to enjoy the event with lots of chairs in the entrance area to watch the fireworks from. Every time
we have visited I have been so impressed with the care and attention that all of the staff display to all of the residents. My Mum has a dementia diagnosis and as I live away I am so pleased to know that she is being looked after and kept stimulated by activities and visits out, for example they recently took her to the ponds in Nantwich to feed the ducks which she thoroughly enjoyed.

We needed somewhere safe for my brother whilst his siblings went on holiday, this care home was recommended to us. Hannah came to visit him and quickly put our minds to rest that the Barony would be a safe environment for him. On arrival was a couple of thoughtful gifts to welcome him, thank you
Hannah.
Dave came to stay for 3 weeks, on the first day he went to the cinema and was smiling when I checked in on him. On our return from our holidays , he informed us he loved it and wanted to stay permanently which speaks volumes
It is wonderful to see him involved in activities and smiling, he looks happy at home which he hasn't done for a while.
All of the staff are brilliant, Dave can't remember names and I live miles away so don't regularly see people to name them.
Not only is Dave happy but his siblings are as well to know he is looked after with care, compassion and dignity.
Huge thank you to everyone At the Barony for all you do for your residents.

An excellent first time stay for my mother Joyce. She was able to move round the home with her walking sticks and had good company from other residents. Her only complaint was that the evening meal was serviced very early (5.00 pm)
