View Full Details of The BelmontMum has been a resident for 3 years, she is happy and loves the staff who are kind and respectful and care for all her needs. What we like is every staff member acknowledges mum and us. The residents are always encouraged to take part in activities and the variety keeps the residents physically and mentally active. Would definitely recommend the Belmont to care for your relatives
The Belmont care home is wonderful. Beautiful surroundings - it could be a 5-star hotel! Excellent staff who are always so nice, helpful and caring to mum and the family. Mum really enjoys the food (+ she wouldn't say that lightly!) + all the fantastic activities that are organised just about every day. Every thought has gone into making the transition into 'care' as pleasant as possible + the worry about mum not being safe + looked after well is now gone. Thank you.
My Mother in Law has been at The Belmont for nearly 2 years and sadly passed away on Wednesday. The family can't thank the carers enough for their care, time and love shown to her and the family in the final few days of her life. The home from the start has been one that as a family we are delighted she stayed in where she enjoyed making new friends and not being lonely as she could be at home. The Belmont will always give us positive memories when we think of her last few years.Thank You
There are no words to express how fantastic the staff are at this wonderful care home. From the first enquiry right through to my mum moving in they have been professional, understanding, caring and have gone above and beyond answering queries and explaining the whole process. The facilities are also absolutely amazing and the whole place is spotlessly clean and welcoming. I cannot wait to watch my mum in her new forever home with these lovely people looking after her.
I can honestly say that the staff at The Belmont make all the difference. They are unfailingly happy, professional and a joy to be around. I have no doubt that my father receives an amazingly high level of care and love
My mum became a full time resident at The Belmont in May 2024 having previously been a short term resident for respite care. Mum settled in well and made a number of friends, where possible she took part in activities at the home. She was always complimentary about the level of care, the friendliness of the staff and the good standard of food provided. In April she was admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties. After 3 weeks she was discharged back to The Belmont for palliative care. Although The Belmont is a care home they were happy to have her back and arranged for oxygen and community nurses. They went above and beyond our expectations. Mum had any food and drink that she wanted at any time ,day or night. It was her request that she was sat in her recliner chair and they ensured that this happened on a daily basis. Her final days were peaceful, pain free and the care and compassion shown by all staff was beyond expectation.
My husband was at the Belmont for respite care after leaving hospital. The attention he received helped both him and myself to recover.
Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff showing dignity and care. Clean, light, airy and nicely laid out with lovely communal area.
Excellent service throughout. Grateful thanks to you all. Activities not used due to health issues.
Having visited care homes where old folk sat on chairs that stood around the walls of a room, two care workers watching over an almost silent room, I was determined not to be such an O.A.P. The Belmont is a community where it is possible to find good conversation, outings, activities and entertainment. Nothing in life is 100% perfect but at The Belmont they really strive to make old age worth living.
Very nice, clean, friendly home
Both of my parents moved into The Belmont in September 2023. Mum was in the dementia unit and Dad on 1st floor. They were both treated with much care and kindness by the staff. Mum unfortunately died in Dec 2024 following a fall and deteriorating dementia. It was made possible to hold a small reception at the home following her funeral and Dad was well-supported. Dad now has dementia and requires help with personal care. It is a great comfort to know how well he is being looked after and I would like to thank the home manager and her team for their amazing work.
Hiya , so very impressed and thankful to all the staff at a very caring care home !! Thankyou so much for looking after my mum after her recent operation . Her whole experience was a wonderful one, she's so grateful to each and everyone of you at the Belmont xx
I am proud to say my 81 year old mother in now a permanent resident and part of the "Belmont" family. From our first meeting with management and the team, to moving in day and present day, the whole experience has been handled professionaly with respect and empathy; I cannot thank the staff enough. The Belmont offers a modern well decoated home that is imaculately clean, this however is just the surface, beyond the amazing exterior is a team of professional, caring, dedicated and friendly staff for who nothing is too much trouble. The dining rooms offer restaurant quality dining with crisp white napkins and table cloths. Three cooked meals providing fresh nutritious food are cooked daily; we really enjoyed our Sunday lunch with mum. As a family we have complete peace of mind that our mum is being given the highest level of care and support. Thank you to all the team.
This was my husband's third stay. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and care was excellent, as always. Keep up the brilliant work. Thank you for giving me peace of mind while my husband was with you.
My 85 year old Auntie has been struggling with her mobility the last 6 months and her current home has had to deal with the local river bursting its banks more than 3 times in the last 6 months meaning she has become very isolated. Her NOK had a holiday booked and after a family meeting we were concerned about her being alone for 7 days, so we looked into private respite for 7 days. From the moment we walked into The Belmont we knew this was the right place for her. We were greeted by wonderful friendly staff and beautiful decor. My Auntie really enjoyed her short stay and would definitely consider The Belmont as a permanent home in the future.
Firstly I have enjoyed a week's stay whilst recovering from a hip replacement operation at The Belmont. Initially, I found the Admin staff to be most helpful and friendly. Upon entering The Belmont I found my room to be spacious and comfortable, not to forget being very warm considering the weather at the time, -5! The bed was wonderful, especially with regard to the height. The food was excellent, staff was helpful. Although I didn't experience nursing care apart from a 5 o'clock change on a daily basis, which was always medications. I found the nursing staff to be both friendly and helpful. I would be happy to use The Belmont again!
On the whole, a good respite experience for two weeks, Mum had experienced slightly different levels of care. Carers not always referring to the care plan regarding drinks and the usage of appropriate cups. Eating in the room a struggle due to the lack of a suitable over-bed table. Plates and bowls being too heavy. Clothes not being unpacked on arrival, laundry not returned within a suitable time frame. After departure clothing still missing. The toilet flush system difficult for Mum due to zero arm strength.
The Belmont is a very friendly place, all the staff are helpful and respond very well, the environment is beautiful and well maintained, activities are well arranged and well delivered, staff are knowledgeable in their fields and deliver on it.
Another wonderfull event at The Belmont! The curry evening was just amazing! Thanks to all the hard work of the team we had a very special evening with Dad. For the last two-and-a-half years we have had so much fun at Dad's wonderful home. Thank you all so very much!
