View Full Details of Sedgley CourtI cannot praise the care team enough at Sedgley Court. It honestly felt like my Nan had gained an extension of her family when she lived there over two and a half years. A special mention for three members of staff who really went that extra mile while my Nan was poorly but all round have been there throughout the years. I felt like my Nan was in the safest of hands. But honestly the list of lovely care team names could really go on. You've been our rock. Thank you. I have not given the 5 out of 5 purely as I feel communication from management in the office is lacking slightly. But I honestly cannot fault the care team. They really make Sedgley court special. Not only am I missing my Nan but I'll be missing seeing the Sedgley court care team. Thanks again for making the last years of my nan's life special and loved.
I had to find respite care at very short notice for my father. One of the staff members was fantastic and completed all of the paperwork and assessment within 24 hours and dad went in the same day. He was quite unwell when he went in. But the staff soon had him back on his feet and within hours he was eating and making friends. My dad is very fussy about his food. But he was very happy with the choice and quality. He loved the room he was given and found it was very comfortable. The care home itself is very clean and does not smell like most care home. I have visited. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and everyone seem so happy and cheerful. If I ever had to go into a care home, I would hope to go to Sedgley Court.
My Mum has been at Sedgley Court for almost a year and has been cared for throughout that time with love, dignity and respect. In the few months since my father passed away, Mum has received the extra support that she has needed to adjust to life without her beloved husband. Thank you to all the staff that have made this possible.
My Mum lived at Sedgley Court for just over 2 years and during that time we were impressed with the kindness of care shown to her. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Her room was very comfortable, the meals looked delicious & there were plenty of activities. I would not hesitate to recommend Sedgley Court.
A couple of weeks ago I paid my second visit to Sedgley Court, my uncle and aunt. They have been in the home for reveal months now. I was very impressed with the home and it is beautifully furnished, both the lounge areas and the bedrooms. The staff are excellent, friendly and attentive and my aunt and uncle are so happy and well cared for.
My neighbour/friend was in Sedgley Court for a fortnight whilst his carer was on holiday. The manager was lovely and made the short stay a pleasant one for him, as did all of the staff working there.
Overall, I enjoyed my two-week respite care stay. Everyone you see is friendly and helpful and I was made to feel very welcome. I did get very warm on a couple of nights (it was very warm outside) and so a fan would have been useful. There was a great activities program but many things didn't go ahead because of a lack of interest. This is why I have rated it as satisfactory. The meals were excellent. Thank you very much for looking after me so well.
I have selected this month but this review relates to the last six months. Sedgley Court is a modern bright and comfortable care home. We have heard nothing but praise for the managers, staff and facilities and from what we have seen on our visits we couldn't agree more, it's a lovely place to live. My sister and brother-in-law enjoyed their last days at Sedgley Court and we were so grateful for the way the staff looked after them and helped them through their difficult times and would like to say a heartfelt thank you.
My father has been at Sedgley Court for just over a year and he is pleased and proud to call it home. He thoroughly enjoys the activities provided and is always complimentary about the food. The staff will always go the extra mile to meet his needs whether that is organising his 90th birthday party, accompanying him to the hospital or welcoming his friends who visit regularly. They provide care and support that is second to none and as I do not live locally this is very reassuring. I would recommend Sedgley Court to anyone looking for a residential home.
My brother-in-law first went to Sedgley Court for respite after a hospital stay but liked it so much and is now a permanent resident. All the staff are so caring, kind and no job is too much trouble for them. His health is so much better and that is purely down to the care he is receiving. The premises are very impressive, just like a 5* hotel. The activities are enjoyed by both residents and family, and we have been to quite a few already.
Sedgley Court was the number one choice of care homes when looking for the best possible care. We have been happy overall with care. We would like to see an improvement in some aspects of service. The care staff are hard-working, very friendly and accommodating and we always feel welcome. Mom is very happy at Sedgley Court, which I have recommended to many looking for a care home for relatives.
Mum has been a resident at Sedgley Court for a couple of years now. She moved there as she has dementia and could not care for herself. We were apprehensive ( and guilty) about moving her into care even though there was no viable alternative. Honestly, it's the best thing we could have done, and, in my opinion, the best place that she could be in. Knowing that she's in the best place she can be and knowing she will be treated with kindness and respect and her needs met is amazing reassurance.
My mother has been a resident since February this year. Since then, she has really settled in and feels safe and at home. She enjoys the company of the staff and other residents and increasingly takes part in the activities, which she was reluctant to do at first. I know that she's in safe hands with the excellent staff, and she often comments on the lovely food. Thank you everyone concerned.
Dad came to Sedgley Court last November. He took a little time to settle in as he suffers from dementia but now seems content and seems to get on well with the staff. I looked around at a lot of care homes before choosing this one and have been pleased with the care and support he has received.
My mother has Demetria, and she has slowly deteriorated, making it hard for her to stop at home. We are so grateful for the staff who look after her; they make us feel welcome, and my mom says she likes it there and is happy. Couldn't fault a single thing - highly recommend.
Just one word to describe Sedgley Court 'Excellent' in every way possible! Thank you to everyone for all your love and care for our dad, we know that he did appreciate everything that was done to make him happy with you.
Excellent service provided by all concerned.
Impressed with the care home and staff and would not hesitate in recommending to others.
All staff most helpful and caring. Made to feel welcome. Meals are very good and varied. Visitors find the staff excellent. I have a meal here with friends and residents show a caring theme.
Mum has been a resident at Sedgley Court since December 2022. The staff, management and carers have always been very welcoming and know you by name. My mum is happy there, she feels safe, and the staff are very reassuring. She likes the food and is always offered a choice of meal. When she was taken ill, the staff were calm and dealt with the situation well. They have a good range of activities on, although doesn't always take advantage of it.
