My wife who was suffering with alzheimers was loved and cared for by this excellent care home for over 3 1/2 years. In her time at Sutton Rose she received very high quality care from a well managed staff. They also supported me as I tried to cope with my wife condition they ensured we celebrated birthdays and anniversaries. And they continue to support the links we set up with the local school when residents and children have fun. I fully recommend Sutton Rose Care Home.
Myself and my husband came to a summer fair at Sutton Rose on Saturday. We were greeted at the door by a lovely lady and shown through to the back garden. The atmosphere was amazing, we saw lots of attentive staff looking after residents. The home appeared clean and tidy and the food being served was excellent. Overall its definitely somewhere I would be happy to live when my time comes.
On returning to the home on the day he entered care. They had forgotten to feed him. His drink was out of reach as was his call button. I advised that my husband has dementia and was not to be left in a chair or wheelchair on his own as he thinks he can walk. He had a fall that his daughter witnessed. When his carer went to visit they were asked how they shower him? This was on the the Wednesday on the last day, my husband was dressed. He had a conveen on and a pipe but no bag resulting in him wetting himself.
My husband has been a resident on the dementia floor at Sutton Rose care home for ten months. His care has been excellent all the time. He is so content and he thinks he is in a "five star" hotel. I am so grateful to all the staff who give us both such excellent care.
My 67 yrs old brother has stayed at Sutton Rose Care Home on two occasions, each time period has been two weeks for resbite Care. I cannot find fault with the care and facilities on site. My brother is very cautious about staying anywhere other than his reseidence but the staff and management understood his needs, medications and how to make him feel at home. Thank you to the care home manager and all her team for making my brothers stay most welcoming and a rewarding break. Our family felt very confident he was in safe hands. Kind regards.
Sutton Rose exceeded all expectations when my Mum was discharged from hospital and admitted with a terminal condition. They helped with all the Admin & reacted at speed to assess her, and get her admitted and settled in. The staff are kind and compassionate, and the standard of care is very high. They make my mum as comfortable as possible and it is a very welcoming environment for friends and family to visit with no restrictions. It is a big weight off my mind when I have to leave her for a few days, knowing she is in such safe hands. Thank you to everyone involved in caring for my Mum.
Mum had been in residential care but due to a deterioration in her health moved to Sutton Rose Care Home - nursing unit. Sadly Mum's stay was very short just two weeks as she suddenly became ill and passed away. During her short stay I found all the staff on the nursing unit to be very friendly, caring and professional Mum settled well at the home and always looked comfortable. Throughout her stay the nursing staff communicated regularly with me. Her end of life care was excellent. I always felt reassured that mum was in safe hands.
Sutton Rose Care Home has provided an excellent service and facilities. The only thing I would suggest for the comfort of a resident is to have a 4 foot 6 inch bed rather than what they are using now.
Sutton Rose care home have provided attentive and compassionate care for my mother. She was admitted with a terminal condition and the staff and administrators have consistently gone above and beyond to make her transfer from hospital and time in the care home as comfortable as it possibly can be. We feel supported and heard as a family by nurses, carers and administrators.
I have to say the whole stay was wonderful from start to finish. The care was superb as were all the staff.
My wife stayed for two weeks respite care. Found the staff very caring and understanding. Gave my wife encouragement to take part in activities.
My sister was accepted into your Care Home direct from hospital, after a series of bad falls. I cannot thank you enough for taking the pressure from myself, and keeping me informed of your information from the hospital. We were given a visit of the care home including the room before her release from hospital, so we were confident that she would be happy with you. So far she appears quite comfortable and content, which also means myself and our family are very happy.
My dad came to the Sutton Rose for respite care. The home dealt extremely efficiently with his transfer from hospital and showed him the greatest compassion and care in the last months of his life. They have made this difficult process so much easier to cope with.
My Aunt was very reluctant to go anywhere for some Respite care, but is now more than happy there & is actually putting off going home! This in itself says a lot about Sutton Rose! We were all made to feel very welcome on arrival. All the staff are very friendly, with some having a wonderful sense of humour. All staff treat my Aunt with dignity, take an interest in her and interact well with her. Nurses are on site to sort medications out also to encourage her for when she goes home. Meals are good and activities varied. There is a nice little garden to sit out in when the weather is good. The on-site cafe is brilliant, offering somewhere different to go and sit and chat. Special occasions are celebrated eg Mother's Day and Easter which is a credit to the staff. Management & admin have been very patient with us when extending the respite care on a weekly basis! I would recommend this care home to others.
Mom moved into Sutton Rose in January 2023. She is bedbound but has a beautiful spacious room with a nice outlook from the window. She is settled and very happy there. Nowhere can be perfect 100% of the time but overall mom receives an excellent level of care and the staff are so kind and caring. We hope to keep her there for as long as needed.
My husband was in hospital for 2 weeks and we chose Sutton Rose for his respite care. During the 4 weeks he was in there he received excellent care and attention. The staff were so kind and considerate and all of his needs were met. Also the nurses on duty were very professional in administering medication and any other needs he had whilst there. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for your loved ones.
First class, kind, caring, proffessional service. Could not be bettered.
Beautiful care home, spacious, clean and lovely staff. My mother came here for respite in November. We have been able to sleep at night knowing my mum is being well cared for.
My Dad came into Sutton Rose Care Home yesterday. Right from the moment we came in everyone was so lovely all coming to greet him before we even got to his room. My dad's room is beautiful, so spacious, a big TV, en-suite and overlooking the garden. The care is outstanding and dad is really enjoying the food. All the staff are continually being so friendly and caring. Also from the moment we came for the initial enquiry and assessing Dad for his needs and all the lead up to Dad arriving, the staff have been wonderful. My Dad felt instantly settled from the moment he arrived. Thank you so much to all the staff.
