My mother was a resident of Queens View Harbour Care Home for almost 3 years until her passing in Feb 26.
During her time there, the care, attention and kindness from all the staff was second to none.
As a family we were very always very grateful in knowing that our mum was being so well looked
after in such a lovely care home.

Our Mum moved into Queen's View Harbour in February. From the moment she arrived she was made to feel welcome and very much part of the Queen's View family. Mum settled in quickly thanks to the attentive and caring staff team who have worked hard to get to know her and support her.
The atmosphere
is friendly and welcoming and the home is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Mum enjoys the food very much.
The activities coordinators work tirelessly and provide engaging, stimulating and thoughtful activities which Mum loves and the residents enjoy regular entertainment, visiting groups and outings. It is lovely to see Mum always smiling and happy.
The carers and nurses are amazing, always approachable, smiling and interacting with the residents. It is obvious that the staff know their residents very well and so far we have no worries about the care our Mum receives.
The manager and all staff I have encountered seem very professional, friendly and caring.

My mum stayed at QVH for 2 years 9 months prior to her death on 21st February 2026. Mum was so well cared for, and the amazing staff (all departments) made her time at QVH so enjoyable. In the early days she thrived, her health improved, and she looked better than when she arrived. It was the best
decision to move my mum into QVH. During her last weeks, she was treated with compassion and her dignity preserved. All staff showed my mum love and kindness as well as care and tending to her every need.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I can't praise the staff enough at Queensview Harbour. From the management to care staff, cleaners,maintenance, activity coordinators, hairdressers, kitchen staff every single one of them are amazing. The care my mum has recieved since moving in approx 7 months ago
has been second to none. Knowing that mum is getting the care and company she needs has made such a difference to her and us as a family. The staff are so attentive and caring and always make you feel at home. We definitely made the correct choice in picking Queensview Harbour Care Home.

Thank you for having my mum in your wonderful home. At a later age we can get challenging and my mum is no exception. . That being said the manager is a good listener and with anything will help as needed, two members of staff on the main living floor always nice and friendly, happy yo get you a
coffee. The staff on level 2 really try, my mum resides here, to mention a few stars. Not to forget two other members of staff who keep the fun times happening. if I have missed anyone, I'm trying.
Thank you all for keeping my mum safe, well fed, and happy.

As a family we had to choose a care home for our sister and as soon as we saw Queens view we were sure it was the right choice for her, she didn't get to enjoy all that they had to offer but they tried their hardest to do what they could.i would like to thank all of the staff from the very first
time we met them to every member of the staff who gave my sister the best care they could have and i was so pleased that we chose Queens View for her was very ill and was only in it for about 5 months but we were so grateful that she got the best care ever so thank you with all my heart QUEENS VIEW HARBOUR TROON.

Staff cannot do enough for my uncle. They go out of their way to be kind to him and spend a little time with him. This makes all the difference to his wellbeing. He is very well cared for and I know he is in safe hands.

The care home rooms are excellent and the staff are lovely.
On staffing, the feedback I will give is they are not sufficiently staffed. Small touches that would make this a 5-Star rather than 4-star are missing all too often. I don't see this as an issue with the people, it's an issue with the
staffing level.
The entertainment is really good - the two members of staff do all they can and it's terrific what they can achieve.
The food is average - more like school dinners far too often and not warranting even 4 stars.

It has taken 2 days to think about what to write but on behalf of my 2 sisters and myself, we can't thank the whole staff from cleaners to carers enough for the love, care and attention that was given to her to help her settle in. The activity co-ordinators who took her in hand to make her feel
included, the hairdresser who kindly kept her looking lovely including her nails, the chefs who catered for meals and mostly the carers who went above and beyond. Being so far away (almost 500 miles) and with a husband with Parkinson's and dementia, visiting was restricted to 2 visits a year but phone calls almost every evening. She was in such a state when we arrived 2 years ago and Queens View taking her in at such short notice was a real lifeline. You all, each and every one, deserve a medal. We are coming up in September, it was already booked and will call in to visit if permitted. Thank you thank you thank you.

I have been in many homes over the last 10 years and have seen many different standards. Queens View Harbour Care Home surpasses anything I have experienced and would be the level of care I would want for myself and any loved one.
The staff get to know the residents individually allowing them to
meet personal needs are the heart and soul of the facility. They are compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing the best possible care to each resident. Moreover, the staff go above and beyond to make each resident feel safe and supported.
One aspect which does stand out is the range of activities and entertainment provided. There is always a calendar full of engaging and stimulating events. The staff encourage participation and ensures that residents feel included and valued.
Overall, my experience is that my aunt is experiencing exceptional care in a 5-star establishment. The care, comfort, and sense of community provided by the staff are outstanding. I would highly recommend.

This care home and the staff are amazing! The carers are so good with all the residents and it is obvious that they really care about them treating them with so much respect.
I visit my friend regularly and always find the staff very friendly.

This a beautiful care home. Staff are always very attentive and helpful. My sister-in-law/ friend is very well cared for and there are plenty of activities for her to participate in and lovely gardens to sit in when the weather is fine

My friend has been a resident of the Queens View Care home for 12 months.
Her health and well-being have been maintained and improved over this period with professional care and personal management.
The standard of the facilities is superb and cleverly designed to produce an atmosphere where the
residents can settle into and enjoy the carefully managed community.
Relatives and friends are encouraged to take part in the many and varied entertainment and learning programmes each day of the week.
The philosophy of making The Queens the residents “New Home” is well appreciated by all involved.

Have visited many care homes over the years and I have found Queens View to be the best, not only in decor but the atmosphere is good as the staff are very friendly and attentive. Over Xmas, there were lots of activities going on every day to make it as nice as possible for the residents. The staff
try very hard to make life enjoyable. Hair is always done and nails are beautifully painted.

My sister has been in a care home for ten years. I cannot praise Queens View Care home enough.
The surroundings, staff, care and love each individual receives are outstanding.

Someone said to me about searching for a care home for mum, "You'll know when it's the right one!" After looking at many locally with my sister for mum (who had no desire to be in a care home, similar to many parents of her generation), that's exactly how it was with Queens View Harbour Care Home
when we first visited in May '23. Mum became a resident in mid August and has settled better than any of us expected, and we have to say a huge thank you to the management and team at QVH for this. Mum looks happier than we have seen in years, she has companionship, stimulating activities and much improved nutrition, which wasn't able to be provided in a home setting. As my sister and I live abroad it was important for us to have a home for mum where we knew she could be cared for with compassion and dignity, considering her condition and we would have good and prompt communication as needed, and so far so good.

I would like to thank the management and staff for providing incredible respite care for our father. Queens View Harbour Care Home is very well appointed with a full range of stimulating activities and it was particularly entertaining over the festive period. The staff are warm and caring and

I cannot praise the whole team at Queens View Harbour Care Home highly enough. My sister has been resident there for 9 months now and has displayed some “challenging” behaviours which everyone is trying so hard to deal with. In addition there has been swallowing issues for my sister and the effort
they have gone to to increase her nourishment is second to none. The senior staff and management are always there and visible to us. The care attendants, housekeeping team and reception staff are so welcoming. Catering staff also deserve praise too. Thank you everyone.

Mum’s 91st birthday was this month and the staff helped organise a fantastic family event. The manager made it all happen and the staff went over and beyond, as usual. The kitchen staff did an amazing afternoon tea and special birthday cake and the reception and entertainment staff were so helpful,
decorating the room and helping it all run smoothly. All the staff made Mum’s day so special. Mum had a brilliant time and we are just so appreciative of the care they give.

Our mother has now been in residence for a year. Administration staff and care staff have been superb. Mum is quite frail but can be funny and feisty and seems held in affection. She has had severe back pain over the past few months and the level of care from each member of staff has been nothing
short of outstanding. Not only have they been supportive with our mother, they have given my sister and myself a lot of time, discussing how best to look after her and update us on any changes no matter how small. Knowing that Mum is looked after so well, night and day, is of great comfort to us.
