View Full Details of BowbrookDad went in for Restbite for a week. He never likes going but my mum has to have a break. And I know that he's well look after here and the place is like a hotel. Me and mum always say oh we could stay here lol. And the staff and management are fabulous. Many thanks. X
My father who is 96 years old is settling in nicely now to Bowbrook. I see the pictures of all his activity's and he does generally like to get involved. His memory is slowly fading but he is kept on his toes by the activity team. He does remember some of his activity's when I prompt him and chatters away about his baking which he has always loved to do. I was amazed at how many other peoples family's he has got to know in his few months of living at Bowbrook. He is putting on a little weight after a little drop which was of concern after he arrived but the team quickly got to grips with it and he is responding nicely. Although none of us like to see our loved ones entering a home I know he is looked after well at Bowbrook and is thriving with all the characters and company he now has.
It is difficult to write a review as my wife can't remember anything. She was well when she came back but I am not sure how much excercise she took or what events she attended. The staff were helpful and the facilities seem excellent.
My aunt arrived at Bowbrook on 24th April having recently lost her husband of almost 70 years and was greeted by a wealth of happy smiling faces who weeks on continue to do their utmost to make her feel happy and comfortable. She loves her room and benefits greatly from family and friends being able to visit at any time. Bowbrook is a spotlessly clean, bright, airy well run establishment which I would highly recommend to anyone in a similar situation.
A fantastic facility. My Mum has been here 18 months. She is well cared for in a loving environment. She is happy and enjoys the interaction with the other residents. The staff are very caring, loving, happy and treat the residents as one of their own. They make them laugh and feel special, they aren't just doing a job to the bare minimum. There is great camaraderie within the staff team. The home is well managed with staff happy to answer any questions. The management is open and approachable and visible. I'm always greeted by any member, even the maintenance staff. Highly recommend.
I absolutely cannot fault this amazing care home . The care is second to none , the carers are absolutely amazing and as for the facilities .. just amazing. All the staff care for their residents . The activities team is fantastic and always arranging different daily activities so there is always something to do. My mum goes on visits into town , to the Cathedral, shops and even out to the local pub for lunch. Best decision I ever made was moving my mum into Bowbrook. Forever grateful to the manager for offering her an emergency respite place at a day's notice , from which she's never gone home as she loves it so much. Thank you Bowbrook and all your staff .
Mum has been in Bowbrook since September 2024. She has settled in really well and loves her room. I am so grateful for the excellent care she is receiving, all the staff are so friendly and professional. Mum is nearly 102 , very alert mentally, and able to appreciate the help she receives at this stage in her life. She has actually gained weight. Thank you Bowbrook.
My grandfather recently moved into Bowbrook after having a bout of falls at home, as a family we felt that he needed round the clock care. From the moment he walked through the doors at Bowbrook he has been so settled and it was like he had always been there. There is so much going on throughout the day it has given him a new lease of life, he loves to do crafting with the Activities people and he even enjoys a game or two of dominoes. He really enjoys the various meals that are on offer, he's even gained a little bit since moving in. The staff always seem to be going above and beyond for all of the residents that live here.
My dad arrived at Bowbrook in July 2023, and already, the change in him is overwhelming. He is so much more alert and happy. He is loving having access to a garden and is joining in with all of the activities. The staff are fantastic as they all have so many skills; their dementia training is also excellent, so they really know how to get the very best out of every resident and enhance their lives. My dad chats away to everyone and is so much more relaxed in himself. The building is beautiful and so clean everywhere, it also has beautiful gardens. I cannot recommend Bowbrook highly enough for anyone who has a loved one in need of such expertise.
Our mother arrived at Bowbrook having to be transferred by hoist and otherwise bedridden following a fall at home and hospitalisation. Three months later she was able to walk to a car and return home to independent living. This has been our first experience of a care home and cannot praise the care and attention of the staff highly enough. We will be forever grateful for their expertise and guidance in helping mum achieve her goal.
My wife moved into Bowbrook shortly after it opened in July 2021. She has now been in residence for 5 weeks and this has allowed my family and I to form a good assessment of standards. Firstly, being a newly built care home the accommodation and facilities are excellent. Secondly, and equally important, the level of care has been very good. All staff are professional, attentive, supportive and friendly which has enabled my wife to make the sometimes difficult transition to full-time care as smooth and stress-free as possible. Food is good and she looks forward to her meals and daytime activities. The family are very pleased with our choice of Bowbrook and have no hesitation in recommending it.
My Mother has had Parkinson's disease and Lewes Body dementia for the last 11 years and over the last 3 years, we have seen as a family a deterioration that has left my Father struggling to cope with her care needs. We have used several residential homes in the area for respite breaks and so I am writing this review from experience and comparison. Bowbrook is a brand new care home and my Mother is currently one of five residents. She has settled in extremely well. I have been impressed with the care team as a whole and they have gotten to know my Mother in a relatively short space of time (3 weeks), nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent. There are activities in the afternoon that my Mother is engaging in. A hairdresser is now on board and they are about to start stocking up the on-site shop. My Mother has formed friendships with the other residents. We can book by appointment and a family member has visited each day. I would recommend.
