Well..what can I say ..this has been beyond my expectations.. mum came to stay for a respite 2weeks while we went on holiday. She loved it so much that she wanted to stay as a resident. She has got company now of her own age..outings and activities all week. Honestly if you could ask for a five star hotel service/accommodation together with very kind and loving staff for your loved one..you couldn't get better. One member of staff, in particular, was amazing..there is nothing she wouldn't do . I'm sorry I am gushing but I'm so impressed and so happy for my mum..she's got her sparkle back ..thank you Beautifully decorated rooms, lounges on each floor, dining on each floor, beautiful dining rooms with a variety of lovely meal choices every day..roof terrace, bar and gorgeous gardens. If you had a wish list of what you wanted for your loved one..well this is it..
Enjoyable stay at Florence Court. Lovely accommodation - warm comfortable room. I felt well cared for - attentive staff, some, in my view, outstanding! My only disappointment was the occasional meal. Overall, would recommend if you want to stay somewhere that feels more like a hotel, but with the care and security.
From our first meeting with the home service advisor which was so professional the process has been extremely smotth. Mum has settled very quickly and views Florence Court as home. She has quickly made friends and will join in some activities. The staff always involved and encourage her and her confidence is growing. We love the feel of the home, all the staff are great and show real interest in the family.
Mum was made to feel so welcome and all of the staff are extremely friendly & helpful. Mum has settled in so much better than we could have imagined or hoped, which is of great comfort to us all. She has made friends with other residents, and appears to be so much happier than when she was living alone.
My 99 year old mother has lived in Florence Court since October 2023, Her background as a WAAF teleprinter during the 2nd WW contributed to her stoical, discrete & very private personality, always striving to be independent, hence the transition from living alone at home to a care home environment was potentially challenging for her. However the staff at Florence Court have been magnificent in catering for her needs having taken the time to get to know her as a person and tailoring their input whether as carers, activity organisers, household & catering; nothing is ever too much trouble, indeed staff pop by her room to have a chat. The facilities are first rate, spotlessly clean & welcoming with plenty of activities. The dining facilities are excellent, home cooked food, a varied menu. There is regular opportunity for comment & feedback. Thankyou.
Florence Court stepped in at no notice to take my mother in law for 2 weeks respite care following a fall and treat at our local hospital. Thorough proffesional, exceedingly friendly and totally caring from first contact and throughout her stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed her stay well beyond reasonable expectation and is looking forward to future stays at this 5-star care home. Many, many heartflet thanks.
My nan's been a resident at Barchester Florence Court Care Home for two years. The care, respect, dignity and compassion that every member of staff has is exceptional. My nan has experienced the highest level of care from management, care teams, maintenance team, housekeeping, kitchens, admin, activity coordinators and reception staff. All have such warmth and understanding. Time has been taken to identify the care needs of my nan but also time taken to acknowledge and embrace the beautiful person that my nan was prior to her illness. The compassion and kindness that my family has been given also is exceptional. Without the combined effort of all those employed at Florence, a difficult and heartbreaking situation would be simply unbearable but it is the staff who have enabled us to embrace and saviour crucial moments together, preserving my nan. When the time comes, we'll reflect back on this experience and smile knowing that my beautiful nan got the exemplary care that she truly deserved.
My mother initially stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home on six-week respite after falling and breaking her arm. She decided to stay permanently as she enjoyed the company and various activities. I feel relieved knowing my mother is safe and well cared for. The facilities are five-star and the staff are friendly and professional.
I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at Barchester Florence Court Care Home and for all you did for me. You did everything and when I came home, I felt that I had a lovely holiday. Hope to see you all soon.
It was a difficult decision to find the right setting for my mum but we found it. On walking into Florence Court we were met with a very warm welcome from reception, cool music and a bright, clean and inviting environment. Debbie gave us a tour and one of the stand-out aspects was the relationships. Everyone, staff and residents included, met us with bright smiles and wanted to chat. A real home-from-home feel. My mum's room is bright, clean and cheery and she has been able to bring all her favourite things with her, which really helped with the transition. She is loved, safe and has embraced all that is on offer enabling her to become more independent, physically active and mentally stimulated. I cannot express how pleased I am with Florence Court I know that my mum is loved, stimulated both physically and mentally and has lots of opportunities to fill her life. The staff are so friendly, food is good quality and we are always made to feel welcome. Thank you.
The staff and especially the management team have made the move to Barchester Florence Court Care Home as stress-free as possible. All staff have gone above and beyond what I ever expected. They have made my father and myself very welcome thus enabling my father to settle in quickly. The staff have been so accommodating allowing my father to have all his home comforts and following all his normal routines. Thank you.
The care and support my mother received at Barchester Florence Court Care Home was exemplary. The staff were responsive and attentive to her needs. Nothing was too much trouble. They were also very engaging and appeared happy in their work. The home itself is tastefully decorated and homely. The food was very good, it is well presented to tempt one's appetite. All in all, my mother's experience was such that she would like to live here permanently!
My father stayed in Barchester Florence Court Care Home for a few weeks while I was on holiday and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay! I was very impressed with the level of care provided; the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The home is beautiful, with spacious, well-laid-out rooms and communal areas. Dad really enjoyed the D-Day outing to see the Red Arrows and the entertainment at the home during his stay. Dad's health and mental state were significantly improved by his stay there and we would not hesitate to use Florence Court in future.
This is my second stay for two weeks at Barchester Florence Court Care Home. I always enjoy my stay as I am spoilt for attention by all the staff. They are all kind and caring - so helpful. I may be back in November is my health allows. Thank you to everyone. The only fly in the ointment is the eyesore of land next door!
I had heard the Barchester Florence Court Care Home was a good care home but my experience proved it was much more than this. I believe that Florence Court is one of the best in the area. The facility was excellent, especially the garden, and the staff were always most helpful.
Picked up my wife after two weeks respite. She appeared cheerful, talkative and on good terms with staff - not something she is usually associated with. Appears happy to go back in a few months time when I need another rest.
My mother spent almost 18 months at Florence Court. As a regular visitor, I know that she was very well looked after by caring, compassionate and lovely people throughout the home. The regular events and daily activities are well organised and the social media photos enable family and friends to see what has been happening. Management are approachable, helpful and ensure things run smoothly. Catering is superb, housekeeping of high standard and everywhere is kept clean and tidy. The rooms have a quality bed and chair and the facilities are well maintained. The multiple lounges and dining rooms are not too big which helps give it a family atmosphere. A special care home.
My mother has stayed at Florence Court for respite stays over the past 2 years. Florence Court and its staff (all staff from managers to carers and housekeeping) have made her feel very welcome. So much so that she feels it's her home from home. Mum enjoys the varied activities and especially likes to feel useful, however, if she needs some quiet time she is safe and sound in her room with staff popping in from time to time. For me, Florence Court gives me the peace of mind that while I'm away, my mother is safe and happy.
The facilities at Barchester Florence Court Care Home are beautiful and on viewing with my husband, who has dementia, his opinion was "it's like a five-star hotel". I knew then that this would be perfect for his respite care whilst I was recovering from a pending surgery. All the staff were very pleasant and all knew my husband very quickly. The manager was amazing and knew exactly what it felt like for me, being a retired nurse, placing him into other's care. I was very pleased with the whole experience.
