View Full Details of St Mary's RiversideHaving visited many care homes previously, this is home goes above and beyond with everything, even the car park. The greeting you receive when you arrive, always smiling happy. Big open areas, floor to ceiling windows and doors, so many activities varying day to day. the luxurious soft furnishings, the dining room all white table cloths with polished cutlery, with plenty of room at the table, ( not squashed in) looking out into the garden All food is cooked fresh on the premises, The laundry is also done in house, hair and beauty room, a lounge area for visiting family and friends Every theme day is catered for, remembrance, St George, Yorkshire etc. I can't say enough positives, and haven't found anything negative. The care, compassion, respect, support and professionalism is a credit to all involved in caring for my friend I laugh with the staff and say I'm going to book myself in. It's the best I've seen.
Trying to find a fault with this care home .can't find one .it is such a lovely place to live .open and welcoming .my friend has been living there for about 3 yrs and loves it .staff are so professional and then so friendly ..open door policy .Nothing is too much trouble for staff even offering you a meal as well if you happen to be there over meal times .
My stay has been a very positive experience. All staff are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. My health has improved a lot whilst staying here. The staff encourage you to push yourself without pushing you too far. They are always there to help you.
After having mum stay in two homes previously, she could not settle, we found St Mary's Riverside. She is so happy and contented now and comfortable and safe, it is a joy to see. The staff are amazing and so genuinely caring, the management are so helpful, we cannot thank them all enough. For the family the most important thing is mum calls St Mary's Riverside "Home".
My nana has been in St Mary's for over two years now, due to dementia. The home is lovely, clean and well kept. The staff are fantastic and second to none. They go above and beyond to provide families with reassurance and provide a safe and happy environment for loved ones. Highly recommended to anyone. Thank you for treating her so well.
All of the staff and management are so caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They are so polite and kind. The care they have given to my Mother is outstanding.
I would like to send my kind regards, thanks, and appreciation to the management and staff at St Mary's Riverside. My mother was admitted to St Mary's just over a year ago. The standard of care that she has received during this time has been excellent. The staff are always very kind, caring, and supportive, and treat the residents with respect and dignity. My mother's health and well-being have certainly improved from moving into St Mary's after living alone in her own home. She is always clean and well-dressed. She enjoys the food and looks physically well. I have found the atmosphere at St Mary's inclusive, welcoming, and supportive to relatives, too, and we are included in the many activities, or invited to functions. Many thanks to all.
My dad has been at St Mary's Riverside for nearly a year now and has settled in very well. The staff are very caring and do craft activities and much more. The home is beautifully decorated with lovely views and is kept lovely and clean. I love the way there are different rooms to walk to and sit in when you go and visit and a balcony over looking the river. The food is excellent and the staff always happy to talk about any worries. Thank you Riverside for making a hard job of putting my dad into care a much easier one.
Nan has been at St. Mary's Riverside for over two years, and during this time, the staff have consistently gone above and beyond to care for her. They treat her with the utmost dignity and respect, and it's incredibly reassuring to know that she is both happy and safe in their care. The daily activities are varied and thoughtfully planned, and family and friends are always made to feel welcome to join in. I couldn't be more grateful for everything the team does for my Nan.
My mum has been so well cared for since arriving at St Mary's Riverside. The staff throughout the care home are so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The care home has a warm, homely feeling, is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms are spacious and well-appointed. My mum says that she feels like she is living in a hotel. There are always lots of activities for the residents to do and the staff are on hand to support. I would highly recommend. This care home is the best in the area and I have visited many.
My parents are so well looked after and happy at St Mary's, the management and staff are all extremely caring and kind. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is fabulous, and my mum and dad are happy and safe.
My father's health quickly deteriorated, after being very independent. After a long period of hospitalisation he was recommended for permanent care. The transition to permanent care was made much easier for us all due to the knowledgeable, warm and welcoming care team at St Mary's. I could not recommend them more highly! The manager and care team genuinely care about the residents as individuals. The home is immaculately maintained in a wonderful area with views of the river. When weather permits staff enjoy taking residents for walks on the riverfront. Thank you to all at St Mary's for making a real difference!
My Mum had been a day visitor to St Mary's for a number of months before she joined the home full-time at the beginning of March. The transition was made very smooth and Mum settled in quickly thanks to the caring manager and the wonderful team. The manager gave us (Mum's immediate family) her time and professional advice on how to manage to move. This advice, alongside the welcoming feeling from the wonderful environment and interested, patient and caring staff saw the whole family surprised, relieved and delighted with how positively Mum talked about her new home. Mum is thriving at St. Mary's. She is happy, full of news, and proudly talks about new friendships, personalised room and the activities she takes part in. My Dad, sisters and their partners and Mum's grandchildren can't begin to express how grateful and thrilled we are to find this welcoming and professionally ran residential home.
My aunt has been a resident in St Mary's for almost two years now. I have to manage her affairs from some distance and so rely heavily on the staff and management. I have only the highest praise for all of them. My aunt is so happy and content there. Recently she celebrated her 100th birthday. Everyone at St Mary's, along with family and friends, produced a wonderful, memorable occasion for her. It is so clear that everyone is focused on the well-being of the residents. I have several years' experience of other homes, when my late wife had to support her mother. It was a never-ending struggle to maintain the level of care. St Mary's is so different in every way. Yes, everything is new and well-maintained, but it goes way beyond that. Ultimately it always comes down to the commitment of the staff and how management deal with the inevitable problems that will always occur in this environment. It is here that they excel. They fully deserve their Outstanding grading.
Amazing home, staff couldn't do enough. My mum came into the home from another home where the care was non-existent. We all thought she would die in there, we were able to come here to the manager and her team. Mum is now walking, more lucid, eating and drinking, such a change. I couldn't recommend the home enough to everyone. Thank you to the team for saving my mum.
My mother-in-law moved to St Mary's Home a couple of months ago, we were very lucky to get a room for her at such short notice. Since she has been here our family, and her associates have seen a massive improvement not only in her appearance but her physical self, as well the home is everything she needs and we're very happy she is getting the care she needs.
Communication between staff and family is fantastic, my family member is extremely happy being a resident. She is well looked after by all the staff who are all kind and caring and certainly in the right job! Anything needing to be addressed is done, not only promptly but professionally. Absolutely no issues whatsoever and we do highly recommend St Mary's.
Overall impression from nearly a year of my loved ones' care is of a warm, friendly and caring home. Staff are always helpful despite being under pressure and short-staffed at times (this is a country-wide issue). Rooms and communal areas are always clean and tidy. Any questions or queries are dealt with quickly and professionally. Management is always friendly and very helpful and knowledgable - as many issues arise around your loved ones' care and social service policies etc. The room my loved one is in sadly has them sitting facing the car park which over time has made us realise that the room was set up badly and would be better the other way round so the resident can look at the view - better for her mental health. Overall my loved one is well cared for and is safe and warm and finally settling with all the changes they are experiencing, which must be very difficult for them to adjust to. Thank you.
Fantastic, clean, welcoming environment. Lovely, warm, friendly and caring staff. Well done to all!
My mother has been a resident here since April, and since the first day, the staff have been welcoming to our whole family. All staff know the residents individually; they get to know their preferences, likes and dislikes, and they are respectful, kind and patient. They know what is important to them and also get to know their family members, so it is truly an individual service. All staff seem to truly care about their job and the people they are caring for. They want to provide the best possible experience for their residents at this stage of their lives.
