View Full Details of Barchester Falmouth Court Care HomeMy Dad has had several respite stays at Falmouth Court over the last four years. At the end of his most recent visit he made the big decision to ask if he could make his stay permanent. I'm not sure there could be a better recommendation! He jokes that it is like a 5 star hotel. The environment is beautiful but it's the people that make it a lovely place to live and to visit. Every single person I have come into contact with at FC is wonderful. From the administration and reception team, to the housekeepers, the maintenance team, the chefs and of course the carers there is always a friendly welcome, nothing is too much trouble and there is a real sense that everyone knows and cares about Dad's happiness and wellbeing. From Dad's point of view I believe that he is much more relaxed now that there are people around 24/7, but he feels that he can continue to lead a quiet life with the privacy that he needs, with the option to be sociable when he wants to be. Thank you to all at FC x
My Aunt has settled in at Falmouth Court over the last few weeks. She was anxious about finding a nice home and mixing with other people. Walking into Falmouth Court was like walking into a 5 star hotel - beautiful decor & furnishings and exceptionally clean, but also the staff have gone above and beyond to enable my Aunt to firstly come to the home on a respite break (they swiftly organised things so she could come the very next day after we took her to see the home, when they could see she was anxious about having to spend another night on her own in her own house) which then recently rolled into an ongoing residency. The admin manager has been such an incredible help when it came to sorting everything that we needed in place for the permanent residency. I cannot thank the home administrator enough, and the same for the staff generally. My Aunt seems happier & has been enjoying the activities at the home - an absolute joy for myself and our family to see her looking forward to the singers etc.
My sister has been a resident for almost 2 years. During this time, I have been unable to find any fault in her care, accomodation or quality of life. On the contrary, she has thrived and really loves where she lives. I have to book my time with her now as she is so busy!
Well what can i say! what a superb experience like a 5 star hotel! Exceptionally clean and tidy in all areas especially reception area, corridors and our friends room. All the staff we encountered were polite charming and courteous. Our friend is so lucky too be in such a pleasant safe environment. It is a shame that not all care homes are up to this very high standard. Thank you and keep up all the good work.
From contacting the team at Falmouth Court seeking a placement for my mothers post op recovery to the date of discharge communication Attitude of staff and approach to my mother was outstanding. I have no concerns and would be more than happy to use again
Mum was very happy at Falmouth Court for her two weeks respite. She was well looked after by the attentive and caring staff who went above and beyond to make sure her stay went well, which it did. Mum had a very positive experience on what was her first time in a care home.
I visited this care home while on holiday, as my aunty is staying there , and I was genuinely impressed. The moment I walked in, it felt more like a hotel than a care home - everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had a really warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. I even had the pleasure of meeting the manager, who made us feel so welcome and kindly offered us hot drinks and delicious cakes. On the way to see my aunty, we passed through a lounge where a singer was performing - the residents were dancing and clearly having a great time. It was so lovely to see! We later sat in the garden to enjoy our coffee, and it was absolutely beautiful - peaceful, well-maintained. My aunty couldn't stop talking about how happy she is there and how well she's looked after. Overall, I left with such peace of mind .This place really goes above and beyond. Well done and thank you
Falmouth Court home is a first class establishment looking after those that require help in their later years. The staff are caring and yet very professional in carrying out their duties. I cannot fault the home and I'm pleased my Mother has a placement there, being safe , looked after, and cared for. The staff management, team are also very professional and have a total understanding of their roll, helping and managing both family members of patients and staff looking after the patients. Well done to all of you. And thanks for looking after me Mum.
The Falmouth Court team were helpful, friendly and absolutely went above and beyond to ensure that my Step-mother's respite care was a positive experience for everyone. All the team were courteous and understanding to our concerns as a family and made sure that regular feedback was given as and when we needed it.
Thank you for the wonderful care you provided for our mother. After her operation, she was very much in need of respite care - and Falmouth Court Care Home was exactly what she was looking for. She had the peace and the kindness to rest and recover. The care team looked after her very well and everyone was extremely attentive. The food was excellent. We also very much enjoyed the hospitality of the fine dining service. Thank you also for the way in which you responded to our initial enquiry - and the promptness with which you handled all our questions and issued the contract. It was always incredibly helpful and prompt. We will certainly use your services again in future if we need further respite care at any stage.
Falmouth Court is a welcoming friendly elegant place for my mother to return too . The care staff and team are so supportive and genuinely caring, this is mums 3rd visit for respite. She's considering in the future this may become her home . The separate floor dinning rooms so many choices of delicious food, and spacious so clean rooms makes it feel as if it's more like a luxury hotel. The staff support 24 hours if needed is a huge relief to my role as a daughter relax and know she in such safe hands . I would thoroughly recommend this care home in my opinion having personally visited so many, this home stands out as the best one in Cornwall
My aunt has been resident at Falmouth Court for the past 18 months. She is very happy there. The activities programme is superb and keeps my aunt very busy, stimulated and interested. She absolutely loves the food but most of all she loves all the carers who treat her with care, compassion and respect. As a family member if I ever have any concerns I can talk to any member of staff who are always interested and helpful. The management team of Haley and Catalin are also excellent together with Deborah in the office who is always happy to help and advise. I would not hesitate to recommend Falmouth Court.
I have been a permanent resident in this home for over one year and am very happy with the care that I receive. I don't think I would find anywhere better. I would recommend to anyone thinking of making Barchester Falmouth Court Care Home their home that they spend a couple of weeks in respite care first so that they know what to expect. Unfortunately, the advertising gives a somewhat exaggerated impression of the home which can lead to newcomers feeling unnecessarily disappointed and frustrated.
This has been a good, positive experience. Food excellent but to eat my last meal of the day at 5pm is difficult. The activities were interesting and varied and well taken up. The worst thing were your pillows. There were three provided, the size of sofa cushions! If everyone used those the NHS would have unlimited neck problems. I asked for alternatives, none were available. The staff were polite and willing.
I enjoyed my respite, two-week stay at Barchester Falmouth Court Care Home very much. It is a beautiful home, clean and tastefully decorated with lovely garden. The staff were all wonderful, caring, efficient and kind. They create a very happy atmosphere. I hope to return.
This is a well-designed, relatively new care home with lovely, modern décor and which seems to successfully meet the broad requirements of the elderly cohort. It was unfortunate that after two face-to-face meetings with the management team, the requirement for a double bed couldn't be achieved and as this wasn't made apparent until arrival, there was no real option other than to proceed. Nevertheless, the front of house and care staff did all they could to meet Mum's other requirements, including a trip out to her favourite hotel for cream teas. Our mum certainly enjoyed herself and the staff went out of their way to ensure she felt welcome and to smoothly integrate her for the two weeks of respite care. There was a good range of activities that are focused on the broad range of clients and as the residents were consistently very friendly and content, this was definitely a good sign of an outwardly well-run and happy care home.
My respite stay was all that I had hoped it would be - comfortable, efficient with good staff and food. The programme of activities was excellent.
I visit Falmouth Court Care Home on a regular basis it’s always very clean and beautifully kept. The home services advisor is always very welcoming when he’s there and are other members of the team. Each room is very well-furnished.
We arranged for respite care for my father-in-law from 20/12/2023 to 12/01/2024. He decided he would like to extend his stay and become permanent. The management and staff have been fantastic with him, his mobility has increased, his appetite and also his nutrition and hydration and his interaction with people.
Mum had recently had a hospital stay and I had come over from Spain for 2 weeks to look after her. However, I needed to return for 2 weeks for work. She needed a placement with 24-hour care and support and Falmouth Court was suggested to me as a respite option. From the initial telephone conversation, the show around and the home visit I knew Falmouth Court would be able to offer her and me the exact respite service we required. The home is stunning. Beautifully stylish with large, warm and comfortable rooms. The communal areas were calm, with appropriate music just audible in the background. The managers and staff were polite, kind, caring, efficient and knowledgeable. Mum loved the food which was plentiful and varied and catered for all tastes and dietary needs. She particularly loved the cakes. I am now considering moving back to the U.K. for the longer term to look after Mum and hope she can stay again for a further respite stay to allow me to put this into motion.
