We had a major problem with the food so I left a very critical review. Mum reports that her food is now beautiful. Thank you.
We very much enjoyed our visit to your helpful, welcoming care home. We appreciated the support and care you are giving to our friend. We were impressed by the number of activities you offer.
I have LPA for health and social welfare for my fiercely independent friend who has dementia. She has lived alone all her life and has managed living alone with dementia for many years because of her fantastic neighbours. Sadly her dementia has progressed so that it was unsafe for her to continue living alone. The difficult decision was made that she needed residential care. Myself and her other attorneys chose Lime Trees for a 4 week trial period, which we have now extended to a permanent placement because of the excellent all round individual care and kindness she has received and continues to receive. Lime Trees feels more like a hotel home than a care home. There seems to be a good staff ratio, and I have only witnessed staff being kind, patient and understanding towards the residents. I am confident that I will be contacted by staff if they have any concerns about my friend. A recent concern that they contacted me about was dealt with professionalism and kindness.
Lime Trees is a very pleasent home. Staff are always friendly and helpful. My wife visits on a Monday to attend the art and crafts session, which I think she assists the staff as she is an accomplished artist, however since her dementia she has lost her enthusiasm. This session helps her.
I decided to become a resident at Lime Tree after visiting a resident there perhaps one year earlier. I was impressed then and at no times during my stay was that impression affected. I and my visitors were treated with dignity and care.
My mum had four weeks of respite care following a period of ill health at home. She had previously been able to visit and stay for lunch - this was very useful to build her confidence when moving in. We have been impressed with the care mum has received from the whole team. Due to complications with her medical condition, she had time both on the dementia unit and downstairs. All the care staff have been professional, caring, friendly and there has always been a named team lead who has a thorough understanding of mum's condition, and efficiently liased with GP etc. The rest of the team have also been kind and helpful - cleaners, laundry staff, managers. Mum did not always find the find the food to her taste but there was always an alternative. There were regular activities, time in the garden, and singing for the VE Day anniversary. Everything is clean and safe, spacious and light. We have found Lime Trees a calm and happy place, a community of people that feel like family.
Following a 2 week stay in hospital having been diagnosed with severe Pneumonia it was a great relief to go into respite care at Lime Trees. The procedure was straight-forward and thanks to the attentive staff I soon settled in and throughout my 4 week stay they became like friends and family to me. Valuing the peace and quiet after my less than happy experience in hospital I chose to have all my meals in my room. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who also took responsibility for administering my medication, I would not hesitate to use Lime Trees again if the need arose.
Right from my first visit to enquire about convalescence care for my friend, I felt welcomed and considered as an individual. My questions were answered and I was taken to see the "show bedroom", dining room, lounge, cinema, garden rooms and garden spaces. The daily routine was explained to me, I was shown a menu and a timetable of activities. My friend has recovered very well indeed during his convalescence and is most appreciative of all the help given to aid his recovery.
Yes, my mother's experience in the Lime Trees Care Home has been excellent; they're caring, friendly, and nothing is too much bother for them.
When visiting my friend, staff were very lovely to her and myself, the care was spot on and she was very happy. The building and room was very clean. She is looking forward to her net stay.
My mum has been a resident at Lime Trees and we could not be happier with the care she has received. The seniors and care staff are incredible - they are so good with mum and it is clear by mum's smiles and laughter that she feels at home with them. The range of activities on offer every day are excellent and go far beyond the offer provided by other care facilities. The activity coordinator really goes out of her way to provide as many experiences as possible for the residents. The management team are incredibly supportive and there is no problem too big or small - any time I have raised something it has been resolved swiftly. The biggest accolade I can give to Lime Trees is that they care as much about the family as they do the resident - they are there to support everyone with the process of moving a loved one into care and beyond. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone!
I recently spent a Wednesday afternoon with my sister-in-law at Lime Trees. After a good chat with her and her friends there we all joined the 1 hour fitness class. The instructor made it great fun to join in, encouraging and giving plenty of time to each and every one doing the exercises, helping them along and explaining each exercise thoroughly, as well as demonstrating where necessary. There was a lot of laughter and clearly everyone enjoyed what they were doing. A well deserved snack and drink followed. In my opinion Lime Trees and all the staff I have met deserve a '10' in everything they provide. Extremely well done and many, many thanks from me.
Up until now we have been very happy with the home. The staff work very hard and are always friendly and happy to help . We are not so keen on the new arrangement with the Harmony suit . The home was build as an open plan dementia friendly environment but now those with more needs are confined to a very small living space since the lounge dining areas have been divided plus this is all on the 1st floor . Previously these residents could go out to the garden area when they wanted without requiring a member of staff . Now they need to be taken down in the lift with a member of staff each time which isn't always possible and also time consuming . It now feels over crowded and cramped when meals are being served and residents seem more agitated and restricted .I believe this was a head office decision that doesn't suit the design of this care home building .
My mother had a 2 weeks respite stay at the Lime Trees care home in January/February 2025. On entering the home It feels like you are in a lovely hotel, all the rooms are furnished to a high standard and everywhere is immaculately clean. The dining tables are laid out beautifully which made each meal feel like an occasion. There were varied activities on everyday and mum enjoyed chatting to the other residents very much. The special thing about the Lime Trees though are the staff, everyone was so kind and caring to my mum and in my mums own words she said " I couldn't fault anything" that says it all for us.
Everything about Lime Trees is great so far, except for the fact that, if there's a problem out of the norm, then it takes ages for the admin staff to act on it. It took weeks to have a simple grab-handle fitted to the bed - I wasn't allowed to do it myself - even though I could have easily. My mum's ceiling has developed a leak which, again, is taking ages to resolve. The crack in the ceiling is still there and the plastic tubs are still on the carpet to catch water. There is also an issue with the motion light sensor in the bathroom which keeps coming on in the night. Both of these are apparently related to something in the roof space, but we're waiting for "someone" to come and look - as we keep being told when questioned - but never seems to happen. The nursing staff and carers are all phenomenal though - five stars for them!
Lovely care home with very attentive and happy staff. Looked after residents needs and treated all with respect.
There has been an issue with the quality of food at Lime Trees, which I raised concerns about in May. I left my Mum today 19th September looking forward to Hunters Chicken for lunch, which she had pre-ordered. My Mum then phoned me after lunch to say that by the time she was served, they had run out of Hunters Chicken (but she'd pre-ordered). She was offered an alternative, which she didn't like, so an omelette was cooked for her. This is like pre-ordering, pre-paying and looking forward to a meal, only to be told when you're sat in the restaurant that it isn't available! As you can imagine Mum was very upset and I'm not particularly happy.
When I realised my brother needed residential care I looked at several care homes. Lime Trees was top of my list due to the well-thought-out facilities, so I was pleased when they could care for him. Lime Trees has exceeded my expectations. All the staff are helpful, warm, approachable and caring as well as extremely efficient in their work. Communication with management is excellent and they are always looking at ways to improve the quality of life for the resident.
I was going on holiday and I knew Mum would be well cared for here. Yet again another 3 weeks of excellent care. Mum's second visit and the care was outstanding. Thank you all for such great care.
All is as good as before, lovely care and a great atmosphere, mum is so happy, she would rather be back at her house, but knows that it's not possible, great alternative and well done to the team at Lime Trees. Thank you.
