View Full Details of Weavers Court Care HomeMy Mum continues to be really settled at Weavers court which is so reassuring for us. The amazing care she receives is given with love and sensitivity. The care staff know her really well and can therefore adapt to her changing care needs and involve other healthcare professionals as needed. She is loved and part of the family there. The management team at the home are helpful, friendly and approachable, supporting us as a family when needed. It feels like the care and well-being of the residents is the absolute priority of all of the staff at Weavers Court, which is lovely and a comfort to see.
The staff work hard to meet the needs of the residents and are very responsive. There are also monthly meetings for residents to meet and talk with the management team. The home provides facilities for a group of relatives and friends to meet regularly for mutual support. I think all of this is really positive and a good sign of the home striving for high standards. There have been some imaginative additions to the activity programme including a visit from a miniature pony which was a great idea. A major challenge for my mother as well as other residents is boredom so more activities with an emphasis on intellectual stimulus would be very welcome. Activities which encourage and facilitate interaction between the residents to help them socialise more would also be great as many find it very difficult to make friends at this stage in their lives.
Evelyn has been in Weavers Court since January 2023. The care she has received since then has been first rate. We have never had cause to complain about any aspect of her care. All the staff are very friendly and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
A place I visit often always get a good welcome staff are great manager lovely and always on hand . Resident looked after well always something going on for them to do. Menu is always good smell lovely
Mum is well cared for and looked after. Weavers Court Care Home attends to her needs, it supplies support, care and friendship. There are activities, companionship, support and personal attention. It is reassuring that she has twenty four hour care.
I have been visiting a friend in weavers care home for the last 18 months . Whenever i arrive I always have to buzz to be let in once inside I then have to sign in so staff know who's in the building at all times. The staff always make you feel welcome and are always engaging and encouraging with residents. The house keeping team are continually cleaning and rooms are spotless. When there I have noticed staff treat residents with care support and dignity meeting individual needs. Menus are on tables and show a good choice of meals on the day .Drinks and snacks are available for guests and residents at all times. There is always activities going on which residents are encouraged to take part in. Residents are frequently taken out on trips which all seem to enjoy. I like that weavers have a social media page and activities and outings are put on so you can see friends and relatives taking part and enjoying themselves when you're not with them . Well done to all.
Just pleased my husband is being looked after and cared for so well. The staff are also very kind to me because I find it so difficult to see my husband struggling with Alzheimer's Dementia. Weaver's Court is such a welcoming home to visit.
My mum moved into Weavers Court sept 2024 and from when she moved in to the present they have gone above and beyond to help her settle in , helped her with her anxiety and the care she has recieved is fantastic
The decision was made for my grandad to have to come into care after having numerous falls at home and being deemed to be unsafe. When we came into the home it is beautiful and clean and the staff were all lovely. I work in care so I knew what I was looking for and I noticed that he had no falls equipment in place, I made enquiries with the staff in duty and asked for these things to be put in place due to the number of falls he had had and also because he was a very high falls risk. Unfortunately these things were not implemented and my grandad had two further falls within the space of an hour which ended up with him being hospitalised. If the correct equipment had been in place these could have been prevented. I feel that my grandad was let down by the home in this instance as they were aware of the falls before he was admitted to the home and that was why he was coming in. The staff themselves were lovely and there was one member of staff in particular that was excellent.
Amazing place! The ethos of excellence and care is evident through everything they do from start to finish. The staff are extremely experienced and knowledgable. Attention to individual needs. Excellent communication with relatives, patient and kind. The whole place is energetic and full of life. Beautiful surroundings and quality in everything. Nothing is too much trouble. They don't pretend to care-they actually do care. We are so glad we found this place. They have created something uniquely special. My mum loves it.
It is the most difficult task to write a review regarding Weaver's Court Care Home. It is quite natural to seek fault or criticise any area that one is reviewing, however at Weaver's Court this is impossible for the simple reason this care home is really a 10-star retreat reminiscent of a luxury hotel. It includes the most caring of staff who give their very best. The decor and facilities infuse a luxurious atmosphere providing much more than one could expect. This care home contains top-class facilities, too numerous to mention. Beautiful laid-out bedrooms, and en-suite bathrooms, all developed with care for the residents. The reception area provides comfort and cleanliness. The reception staff are so kind, caring and informative and these qualities are reflected throughout when "more than expected" is experienced. It provides the confidence to leave your loved ones in comfort, care and in experts hands. Indeed a happy place, I give Weavers Court the highest marks, ten out of ten. It is obvious that the design, the layout and the detail have been carefully created to achieve a peaceful, contented and ambient result.
Mixed experience. My mother with dementia was in respite care with a view to finding somewhere permanent. During her short 2-week stay there were a few concerns about attention to detail when putting the care plan into action e.g. applying cream to dry skin, and always providing a cushion to support her posture to prevent back pain. However, these were all things that could be improved over time with feedback. I am not sure how well the menu was suited to a vegetarian diet, as unlike the main menu the meals were not as varied or always unprocessed. My main issue was their policy of not dispensing health supplements, even with a doctor's note and for this reason, I have given an unsatisfactory score to management even though this is their director's policy and not a reflection of the Manager's service which was supportive. Following her stay we communicated directly with the policy director and referred her to the CQC guidance on this to investigate however they never replied making it unsuitable.
My dad was at Weaver’s Care home for three months and I visited many times. The facility is beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. But most importantly, the staff is amazing. They really do care and will go the extra mile to make sure the guests are properly taken care of.
Amazing staff! Beautiful place, very well organised and equipped. Lovely ambiance. Great activities and food. No complaints. Thank you.
My mum has previously had 4 weeks of respite care in the autumn of 2023. A deterioration in her health has meant that she has now become a permanent resident and is so pleased that she could return to Weavers Court. Her care needs now mean that she requires more support and we are very pleased that she has the best that we could wish for. She has already been able to use the hairdressing facilities and enjoyed a special themed evening meal when we were also able to join her.
It's a difficult time when a loved one needs to move into care. We set out to find a care home that would meet Dad's care needs but at the same time could provide a "2nd home" for us, so we could still be an integral part of Dad's life knowing his care needs were met. From initial contact through to the point where Dad is now settled we could not be more grateful. A professional setting with TLC.
We never envisaged our mum living in a care home, but when we were unable to give Mum the care she needed at home we started our reluctant search. We will forever be thankful we found Weavers Court. I remember the first visit before Mum moved in, heartbreak that we were entering into a new phase of care for Mum, but relief that we had finally found the right place. I will never forget the kindness one staff member showed that day. Our mum is so well looked after, we cannot thank everyone enough for helping our family. The care is outstanding, it’s not just a care home, it’s our mum’s home and that’s how we feel when we visit. We would like to thank every single person who looks after our mum. You are all amazing, wonderful, kind people and the care you give doesn’t stop at our mum, you care for us all as a family too. Thank you for putting your hearts into Weavers Court. Everyone deserves to have a place as beautiful as this for care when they need it. Thank you, we will be forever grateful.
We are so happy to have found Weavers Court where Mum is able to convalesce after a long hospital stay as she builds her strength in preparation for getting back to her home. All of the staff have been amazing, so friendly and encouraging as she increases her mobility. As a family we have found a really warm welcome from all staff each time we visit and would recommend Weavers Court to anybody looking for a care home that goes the extra mile!
We have cared for Mum for 3 years and seen distressing symptoms and the whole family impact. 6 months ago everything seemed to worsen, carers came frequently to the home and Mum was unhappy and agitated. 4 months after coming to Weaver's Court, Mum is worry free - it shows in her face and her appetite! The principle of care is that Weaver's Court is home. The standard of care is exceptional. Every physical, social, emotional, psychological, and environmental need is well thought through. Despite Mum's illness she is thriving and we gratefully respect every single member of staff.
Its always a hard decision to move a loved one to a care home but I can happily say 3 months down the line, Weavers Court has exceeded every expectation and continues to do so. Mum has done more in the last 3 months than the last 3 years, is brighter in herself, happy, and settled. Thank you to all at Weavers for not only making Mum feel at home, but also helping the family adjust to the new way of life. You are an outstanding team.
