View Full Details of Skelton CourtMy friend is extremely happy living here. The staff are wonderful and he loves them all, foods very good and the care is very good. My friend is a very happy man.
My wife came into Skelton Court in 2023/24 for respite. This was an excellent experience for her with first class care and excellent food and accommodation. This enables me to get some well earned rest from being a full time carer. Skelton Court became my second home because it was only 500 metres away from my home and I could visit her at anytime. I used to have meals with her and spent hours with her.
My wife has been a resident since 3rd August 2023. At the end of May her health deteriorated and was transferred to hospital for a period of six days. My son and I were told by a consultant my wifes life was nearing the end and after consultation she returned to Skelton Court where the staff showed their caring, loving and exceptionally understanding manner.
Home is well maintained and clean. Majority of staff are caring and polite who show genuine caring feelings for the residents. Food is well presented and varied. If there is something that they know my dad is not keen on they will find an alternative option for him. The big downside to his care is the ridiculous amount we have to pay for his care, when somebody who is not self funded gets the same care for a far lower price being paid for by the local authority i.e £1250 s.fund - £850 LA Funded approx. This year his costs increased by 8% up from £1166 p/w to £1250!! His state pension only increased by 4% ie £10 per month.
The care home is very secure and clean in the main area and residents' rooms. The cleaners are always busy when you visit. Meals look amazing and nutritious, always extra nibbles like cakes, crisps for residents to get if they're still hungry and regular drinks. Background music is nice, staff are amazing, very caring and pleasant and nothing is too much for them to do.
Dad spent over 12 months at Skelton Court. He settled in very quickly and developed a connection with all the carers very well. He was encouraged to participate in the many activities held on a regular basis, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was provided with excellent care, meals and companionship throughout his stay. During his final few days, he was treated with the upmost care, courtesy and dignity from everyone involved.
Facilities etc very good.
My dad has been a resident in the care home for nearly a year. He has settled in well and both myself and my sister are very happy with the care he has received. We are always informed by staff if there have been any issues/incidents involving our dad. If we have asked for anything to be done for dad, the staff have usually acted straight away. The staff are all very kind and caring to all the residents. The activities they have are amazing. My dad seems to love them. The home is very clean, the laundry is clean and fresh, the food is wonderful. It is a very warm and welcoming home.
We shopped around to see what other homes had to offer Mum regarding support etc. We decided that Skelton Court was the best by far. Mum has been here for over 12 months now, keep up the good work!
The staff are invariably pleasant and helpful and the cleanliness and attractiveness in the building are exemplary. In addition, the staff are attentive to the needs and care of the residents and 'Tilly' the dog is a darling.
I have lived in Skelton Court since the 4th of April 2024. I arrived ill, tired and frightened. Living on my own was becoming very difficult. here I feel safe, secure and looked after. The place is lovely, more like a luxury hotel than a care home. The staff are caring and cannot do enough for you. It's a home-from-home. when friends brought food for lunch, the staff set a table with serviettes and wine glasses in the garden, another time my daughter stayed for lunch. Really, I can't praise Skelton Court enough. I'm as happy as I could be, given my circumstances. this place must beat all the others.
Skelton Court Care Home is excellent. All of the staff are amazing. The care they give is outstanding. Always friendly and attentive. My dad has been there for a short time but over this time he has settled in very well. Thank you so much to the Skelton Court management team and everyone who has looked after my dad.
From what I've seen this is the best home around. Friendly staff, very clean. I'm told the food is very good. The rooms and communal areas are very nice, good decor. Maybe more activities, depending on what different residents want, as it can be boring.
There are no activities for my husband. Promises were made to take him for his paper and take him for a walk. This rarely happened. Even though he has dementia he can hold a sensible conversation and attempts the Times crossword each day. He is mobile with a stick. He was well looked after and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed the monthly singing group.
Lovely, warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment of entry until departure. The staff are very friendly and helpful and deal with all queries promptly. There is a nice family feel, as I have gotten to know a few of the residents, as they have their meet-up place near reception. The cooks have worked with my aunt to find soft foods she can eat. We are so pleased to have found this place; my aunt can comfortably spend her final time in life.
Very happy with Skelton Court. Staff are wonderful. Dad visits every day to sit with Mum and has his Sunday lunch. Care and support excellent.
I'm so pleased my mother-in-law is living in this 5-star care home. All staff/management are excellent. Very nice atmosphere, a spotless place. Talking to other residents, they are also happy and loving being there. Keep up the good work all of you.
Everyone has looked after me very well. Food good. Rooms and facilities are OK. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Apart from being in my own home, I couldn't live in a better place.
Skelton Court is a lovely place to live, I only went there for two weeks of respite but have fell in love with the place, the staff are all kind and caring. The food is exceptional, I am on a wheat and dairy-free diet and the cooks and carers all provided so well for me. Lovely gardens and lounges, always provided entertainment and many cups of tea, all in all, a pleasant stay.
Since living here I feel happy, safe and well looked after. All the staff are tuned into our needs. Also, so friendly.
