View Full Details of Squires Mews Care Home - Avery HealthcareMy mother was a resident at Squires Mews for 18 months and over this time. She was well cared for by all staff and enjoyed herself. She made many friends with other residents and members of staff. We her family were always made to feel welcome whenever we were visiting, and never felt that we were an intrusion on the daily routine of the home.
After our family tours around Squires Mews my dad was warmly welcomed. Both he and us as a family have been supported by reassuring updates on how he has settled in. He is content which is a great reassurance. We enjoy our visits using the garden and coffee lounge. Dad has engaged in the offered activities.
I can't recommend squires mews enough. My nan originally came for a few weeks respite but very quickly decided she would stay. She is really happy and so are we knowing that is she is surrounded by the best people. They all go above and beyond, nothing is too much trouble.
My mother stayed at Squires Mews for eight months. She has dementia and was very worried and scared, but the team showed exceptional empathy and skills in looking after her. There was also so much for Mum to do, tailored activities and social sessions.
Mum has settled at Squires Mews so quickly. She loves it. She tells me that she likes the staff and they have been so kind and friendly. She has made new friends and, to tell you the truth, she looks younger, happier and relaxed with her new life.
The home is beautiful very clean and well decorated more like a hotel than a home the staff are friendly and very caring mum recently broke her leg and the staff have been amazing and accommodating in helping her get back from hospital. I love the way talk too mum and include her in decisions.
My Mother was rather anxious about staying for this two-week respite stay. I am delighted to report she's enjoyed the experience and will not only stay again but plans to move in permanently when the time is right. Squires Mews is a beautiful home and the staff were professional, helpful, patient, and kind. A credit to your company.
Mum came into care in January 2024 and, after a long search, we found Squires Mews. For the first time since we lost my Dad, she's been happy. This place is wonderful! The staff are kind, compassionate and incredibly caring. Mum is safe, happy and secure and has made some great friends in here. I cannot recommend Squires Mews more highly.
We brought our 98-year-old Aunt to Squires Mews 8 months ago and have been delighted with the move. The residents, staff, and facilities have exceeded our expectations and - as our Aunt says - "It's more like a 5-star hotel than a care home.". So it's 5 stars from us!
My partner could not have wished for a more enjoyable and relaxing stay during her three weeks of respite care. The management and staff made us most welcome on our arrival, and couldn't have been more attentive throughout my partner's stay. I have not seen a home in a higher state of cleanliness. Should she need further care we will not hesitate to return to Squires Mews.
Very good staff. Very helpful and pleasant and good at their jobs. They made my three-week respite stay enjoyable and pleasant. Would happily recommend it to friends and anyone who is in need of similar care as myself.
Entering Squires Mews establishes an immediate welcome alongside esteemed professional staff. The overall ambience is one of a soothing atmosphere creating excitement and interest. Rooms are clearly identified, each offering opulence throughout. Safety is utmost in the staff's care with their voices delivering a cheerful, comforting yet approachable tone, inviting trust. Staff are clearly aware of residents' needs and constantly achieve an extremely proficient level of care, informing and liaising with family thus offering assurance and two-way respect. Staff demonstrate personal interest and show compassion toward my mum-in-law. Throughout each day there's a comprehensive variety of activities on offer all differentiated thus catering for a wide range and delivered by enthusiastic, friendly and encouraging staff, making residents feel joyous in their motivation and achievements. Personal hygiene is fulfilled to the highest standard by the carers, whilst being constantly vigilant regarding possible health dangers. As many of the staff provide skilful attributes behind the scenes e.g. housekeeping deliver laundered clothes and maintain cleanliness throughout. Dietary needs are catered for by staff delivering support and reassurance to ensure Mum-in-law's health needs are met. Every staff member takes the time to ensure my mum-in-law's needs are constantly met whilst delivering a friendly chat to guarantee she's happy.
My parents have now been residents at Squires Mews for several weeks and on behalf of my family we continue to be impressed with the care and support they receive. In particular, we are impressed with the clinical response when issues and incidents arise. Also the engagement with the wellbeing activities. We like the down-to-earth nature of the staff, no hint of 'institutionalisation'. The open house approach to visitors is also welcomed.

A good experience and served my purpose as respite care after surgery. Everyone was very kind and caring but I did feel sorry for the girls who needed more than one pair of hands at times.

We cannot fault the care and support my sister-in-law has received since coming to Squires Mews. She has come on leaps and bounds since she came out of hospital and settled in really well. The staff are really friendly and helpful and make us feel very welcome. The only drawback when visiting is the lack of parking. That is the only negative comment we have about Squires Mews. Otherwise, excellent!
