View Full Details of Brendoncare St Giles ViewHanding over the day to day care of a parent to a care home, can be very difficult. St Giles View have been supportive of both my mother and myself from day one. Their care of my mother is exemplary, respectful and kind. The staff pay attention to detail, like watering her plants, or serving her tea in her favourite cup. All of these things matter. I also appreciate their cheerful & helpful communication when I visit. I love having lunch with my mother where the staff enable us to have quality time together. Thank you
On 19th August it was my mother's 90th birthday. St Giles View reserved the room opposite the cafe for us and family members. All the staff really put themselves out to make this a special occasion, especially activities and the manager. Thank you all so much. You are all amazing and always so helpful. My mother (who has dementia) couldn't be in a better place. Thank you!
My mother has been with Brendoncare for over 10 years, first at a sister home and now at St Giles View, and is now the oldest resident in her home. She has been very well looked after by the lovely staff and is as comfortable as she can be given her advanced years. St Giles View is extremely well appointed and spacious. There are wonderful views out towards St Catherine's hill and the Archer valley. I am only sorry that my mother is no longer able to enjoy the many communal activities that she liked so much when she was more active.

To me and my family St Giles View is an oasis of care, kindness, respect and dignity.
The atmosphere was very friendly & very helpful. The quality of the rooms were home from home Staff very friendly & everyone seemed very happy and would highly recommend.
I was very lucky to secure a room for one month's respite care for my father following an operation. He has improved mentally and physically since his admission. I cannot fault the staff in any way. They have been so kind and treated my father with respect and dignity.
Highly recommend. The home is clean and tidy, and with stunning views over the valley. Staff are kind, caring and engage fully with residents, showing them respect always and making them feel it is their home. They are also well trained and show both compassion and warmth. They encourage all residents to take part in fun activities, regardless of their abilities and encourage people to maintain their independence as long as possible. You couldn't ask for more.
Excellent home, lovely staff, lovely garden
It does what it says on the tin The complete package Excellent new manager
From the first time we came to see my brother in the home my husband and I have been most impressed by the warmth & care of all the staff at Brendoncare home. We also noticed the interaction between the staff and the residents was always friendly and cheerful but in a natural way. Its a testament to the home that my brother has fitted in so well.
I cannot praise the staff at St Giles View enough. My mum moved in on Christmas Eve 2024 and sadly passed away on 5th June 2025 from Vascular Dementia. Throughout her stay the staff went above and beyond their duties to make mum feel at home and the support for the family was outstanding. We were kept well informed on the progress of mums illness and during the last weeks of her life, they were there for us every day and they are more than carers, they are friends who care so much for mum but also our family. Today, mum grew her angel wings surround by her immediate family and the whole team were there for us, supporting us through a long and emotional journey and we will be forever grateful for today and for the past five and a half months. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
I have been very impressed with the care, patience and attention given by the staff at St Giles View. I have always found staff very helpful.
The building is impressive, newly built, modern and freshly decorated. However, there are a number of issues relating to care which require attention and addressing. The quality of the food served to residents is poor. Frozen food, tasteless and reheated. More fresh veg needed rather than canned peas and carrot batons.
Our dad only stayed in the home for just under 3 weeks but the care he received was outstanding, especially the night he passed away. The staff were very supportive of us as a family and ensured that dad's pain was well controlled and he was comfortable. As a family we are very gratefull to the team.
Mum moved into Brendoncare St Giles View when it first opened and sadly, passed away in April 2024. The kindness, love, professionalism and overall standard of care given to Mum - and all her family - was beyond exceptional and made Mum the happiest and most comfortable she possibly could have been.
Communication excellent, especially when resident ill, looked after extremely well. Variation in activities for Littleton ward, which I know is difficult, would be appreciated. Very hot in the home on level 3, Littleton ward, during summer, no air conditioning put in when built? Obviously, window opening restricted, residents and staff.
I have never come across such a lovely, kind, caring group of people as I have encountered here.
Having joined my partner for the open day, when she was first shown her room and given an introductory tour of Brendoncare St Giles View Care Home and visited on day two after their move, I was amazed at the attention to detail and use of latest technology throughout this brand new, purpose-built facility. Clearly, the ethos of the Brendoncare Foundation generated over decades at their sister home will continue to shine through in Quarry Road. All the staff were equally thrilled with the relocation. The latest innovations and modern facilities will enable them to give residents the highest level of care.
