View Full Details of Ladden ViewI cannot speak highly enough of all staff (managerial, carers, domestic, catering + the handy man). All of my worries about putting mum not residential care were unfounded! She has been at L.V 4 months and she is very happy + consent. So am I. I have no worries at all. Expensive yes but worth every penny!
The whole experience of getting mum to Ladden View has been extremely positive. The staff were very accomodating of mums emotional, physical and medical needs. They've also been very supportive of the wider family, knowing how exhausting the time before a loved one moves in can be. Mum is now eating better than she did at her home, stays better hydrated, is more mentally stimulated and takes her meds on time. She has only been at Ladden View a month and is already more well than any time I've seen at any time in the last year. The whole staff team have worked tirelessly to make her feel welcome, included and cared for. I'm very grateful that mum is somewhere as excellent as this.
My father has been at Ladden View for 2 months now. It was a difficult transition as he lived with me. The manager and staff did their utmost to make his move a positive and stress free experience. The home is modern, catering for all needs. The selection of communal areas are so well thought out, including outdoor areas available to everyone. The staff are helpful, hardworking and kind. I cannot fault Ladden View, it's not an easy decision or move to make but my father is happy and very well cared for.
Having initial reservations about my first respite stay, from day 1, any doubts completely disappeared. The kindness and attention from every member of the team was first class. Nothing was too much trouble when you needed help, from help with a shower to a friendly face and a cup of hot chocolate at night. The chef provided 5 star meals, snacks and freshly baked cakes, all were nutritious and delicious. Visitors were welcomed at any time and could enjoy the facilities and cakes in the cafe. There were plenty of communal rooms, with a range of activities available throughout the week. My room was so comfortable, beautifully furnished and I enjoyed sitting outside on my private patio. The ensuite wet room, with its shower was so helpful for someone recovering with a fractured arm. I left after 2 weeks feeling the best I have done for a long time and am looking forward to my next stay.
From the very first time I stepped into Ladden View for our look around to present day my experience has been wonderful. Staff are caring, understanding but have time to chat to family and residents. Food is fantastic and it was really lovely to have been invited to stay for lunch on Mum's first day. Can't fault Ladden View an amazing place to visit and to live.
We had a wonderful afternoon at Laden view care home celebrating the 80th VE day celebrations. We all enjoyed the cakes tea and coffee and something a little stronger. The weather was a little cool for the day but that didn't detract from the residence enjoying their selves. The jazz band in the garden was really good. The residence really enjoyed the World War II army trucks.
Sadly my father in laws stay at Ladden View was brief as he passed away whilst resident. He had been in respite care at another local home prior to moving to Ladden View and the experience we had during respite was far from a happy one. From my initial contact with management, he was admitted within 2 days and it felt like a real rescue. Walking into Ladden on that first day was like walking into a 5 star hotel, the staff immediately took over, helping Dad to settle in and making him welcome. Quite honestly I breathed a sigh of relief to see him smile again after his prior experience. Unfortunately Dads health deteriorated rapidly and within a couple of weeks he was confined to his bed as the Cancer took its hold, but never once did the staff let their standards drop, their attentiveness was 100% and they most definitely made his last days as comfortable as they could possibly be under the circumstances. The Care Home is amazing, I really can't praise it enough.
Absolutely Fantastic! Mum is so happy here, all the staff are brilliant. They take the time to talk and get to know mum. She is so well looked after, we have peace of mind knowing this.
After a year of trying to support my Dad living at home he reluctantly agreed to move into Ladden View. He really wasn't keen but he loves it and is happier and healthier than he has been for a year. He is so well looked after, loves the food, has returned to a healthy weight and is enjoying the company of the other residents. His room is so comfortable and sunny with great ensuite facilities. The staff are so kind and helpful and he is encouraged to eat in the dining room and enjoy the varied activities. He's always loved gardening and he is able to continue this hobby - he has even been allocated a cold frame to plant up and will be able to use the raised beds to plant his seedlings. Life is so much better for him than at home.
My cousin fell in love with Ladden View the moment she came to visit. She has settled in quickly & is very happy here. She loved the staff, the food & the general ambience & hopes she will spend the rest of her days here. From living alone & not mixing much she now has plenty of company/social contact & enjoys joining in the craft sessions. It's given her a new lease of life. Thank you.
After viewing several homes I am delighted that we choose Ladden View. From the moment you walk in the staff are welcoming and warm. The facilities are amazing, it really does feel like a 4* hotel. My aunty is very happy there, which I am sure is everyone's biggest worry. She has a gorgeous room, great food and more importantly company. All residents are made to feel like it is a home away from home. I would highly recommend Ladden and the whole team
My daughter chose this respite home for me and I have been very satisfied with every experience. I have had since being here kind & helpful staff, good medical attention. Good food every one here so welcoming warm and safe.
My 98-year-old mother had been in hospital for three weeks with a bacterial chest infection and breathing difficulties. Upon discharge, it was decided to find her some respite care before she returned home. We were guided to Ladden View Care. I visited with my husband where we were introduced to the staff and shown around the facilities which are first-class. We were able to choose a garden view room and following this initial visit, Mum was settled in within a few days. The staff are approachable, friendly, welcoming and professional and are quick to reassure me with any concerns. This is an excellent care home and I would not hesitate in recommending Ladden View.
I am very well looked after here. I could not do all these things at home. They have got everything here, I don't want for anything. Food is good, lots of choices. Always clean including the bedding. You only have to ask as the staff are very good. They shower me every morning and wash my hair. They do everything for you here, I have been out in my wheelchair for short trips around the home. Overall it is good service here.
It is always a pleasure to visit Mum at the care home as visitors are made to feel so welcome. The food is home cooked and delicious, with residents' preferences being taken into consideration. It is lovely to be able to get to know the staff, who do everything they can to accommodate any particular wishes or requirements of residents and their family.
My mum moved into Ladden View at the end of November, everyone at the home was very welcoming and friendly to my mum and us as a family. It was an emotional time for us and they made everything so much easier. Management and staff went above and beyond to settle my mum in. I have seen a big change in my mum since being at the care home, she seems really happy and she joins in with activities. Also she loves the food, she looks healthier and well looked after. Moving my mum into Ladden View has been the right decision for my mum.
My Nan was really ill in hospital and the decision was made that she would have to go into care. Ladden View were really accommodating to a short notice show around and a short notice second show around. The staff on both show around's were friendly and informative. They had only a few residents in the facility during the show around's and when my Nan started but it was nice to see them all out of their rooms and interacting with each other and staff. I was also very impressed that office and management staff knew the residents well as well as there families. My Nan has done a complete 360 with her health since starting at Ladden View. When she arrived she couldn't walk unaided, wouldn't eat without someone helping her and she was very quiet and confused a lot of the time. She has been a resident for nearly 8 weeks and she is chatty and socialising with all the staff and residents, she is back to eating on her own and is very happy. I am very pleased with the care at Ladden View.
Excellent in every way. From first contact with one staff member, our initial contact, through admission, to the ongoing care and service, everyone has been unbelievably helpful and professional. Moving to a care environment can be a stressful time for everyone, however, all the staff made it so easy for us. We are delighted that we have clearly made the right choice for the next chapter in my mother's life. Thank you to all at Ladden View Care Home / Care UK.
This is a first-class residence built and finished to a very high standard. The staff are really friendly, caring and interested in what they do - from the management to the care staff. My wife and I are made most welcome as frequent visitors. There is a cafe and a bar and since my relative has been here, numerous events and activities have been organized including carol singers and the army charity brass band. The food looks great and there is plenty of it. Keep up the good work!
Relaxing, comfortable, well looked after and warm environment. Friendly staff and enjoying the meals being cooked for me. Food is first class. Nice areas outside to walk around. The family have been made to feel welcome when visiting. Very clean and comfortable. I think everyone is enjoying my jokes.
