View Full Details of Ayton HouseI am very impressed with the quality of care provided at this home. The staff are always happy, friendly, and attentive, and it's clear they truly care about the residents. The food is consistently good, with plenty of choice and well-cooked meals. The environment feels safe, comfortable, and homely. I would definitely recommend this care home to others.
We have just moved my mother to Ayton House from another care home because of her blindness. Complete sight loss requires specialist care which Ayton House has offered her from the moment she stepped through the door. We are not local and need to know that she is cared for sympathetically, loved like a family member and included in as much as possible due to the isolation of her blindness. Ayton House staff and management have been honest, professional, friendly and so approachable, we are so relieved to have found you. We love every visit to see mum in this gorgeous new care home. Thank you.
I have never been treated with such care and friendliness. I loved being there from the moment I arrived until I left. I'm happy to go back any time and will certainly do so for some of the activities. Everyone was marvellous. I was a bit nervous about having to go there permanently, but now I'm looking forward to it.
My partner moved into this fantastic care home a month ago. The family and I couldn't be more delighted with the care he is receiving. It is so beautifully appointed that you could truly believe you are in a five star hotel. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is first class and there are activities every day to keep the residents occupied. One couldn't ask for anything more.
My father was in Ayton House for a period of 4 weeks to recover after a long hospital stay. He really enjoyed his stay and rest at Ayton House. He got to know many new people and the staff who looked after him well. Everyone was so kind and friendly and took the time to check on him and cater for his needs. It was so nice being in a place where people said hello and checked on him, even if they were not directly caring for him; they took the time to greet him in the corridors and communal areas. He joined in some of the social activities and spent time in the lounges and café area. One highlight was the ability to watch some films in the cinema room in their pub! The whole facility is very new, modern and tastefully decorated, certainly comfortable to stay in. We would highly recommend Ayton House for short and long-term stays. Thanks to the entire team!
I recently booked 2 weeks respite package at Ayton House and went there following surgery. I was immediately impressed by the level of care that was offered. My carers were attentive, kind and professional. Never once did I see a miserable face on them or hear a disparaging word. My room was spotlessly clean, adequately furnished with a comfortable bed and an ensuite wet room. There was a private patio, where I could sit in the sun. Added bonuses were the balanced menu offering the choice of tasty, freshly cooked meals and a prompt and efficient laundry service. Activities were on offer, including trips in the minibus. Would I return? The answer is a resounding YES.
We moved the mother to Ayton House at the beginning of June 2025. She suffers from dementia, and we were worried she would not settle in this new home, but we have been so pleased that she has not mentioned her previous home at all. The staff and care she receives are marvelous, she seems to love them all, especially the cuddles they give her. It's a very happy family atmosphere.
My Mum has been resident at Ayton House since January. She has settled very well and has made some friends. The home is tastefully decorated in soft relaxing colours and is spotlessly clean. Her room is spacious and light, well furnished for her needs with a good en-suite. She has her own rocking chair and other familiar items from home. Each floor is very homely with a separate lounge and a dining room laid ready for each meal, and there is a coffee lounge behind reception for residents and guests. The food served is excellent and residents have a good choice. Activities are arranged most days, and residents are encouraged but not forced to participate. Regular outings by mini bus are also a feature. Staff are friendly, proactive, cheerful and very professional, treating both residents and visitors with kindness and respect. Nothing is too much trouble, and the level of care provided is superb. I have no concerns leaving my lovely Mum in their kind and very capable hands.
Mum has dementia so caring for her can be challenging. She doesn't remember things so this review is from our perspective. She came to Ayton House in June having fallen at her previous care home and broken her hip. Unfortunately they didn't have a suitable room so we were glad to find Ayton House. The home itself is lovely, stylish and modern with excellent facilities. Her room is spacious and comfortable with a full en suite and a terrace. The garden is lovely. From our perspective the staff are friendly, caring and above all patient. Having cared for mum ourselves, we know it isn't always easy so we could not ask for more. Mum is kept fully occupied with varied activities and has company whenever she wants it, she was lonely, unhappy and isolated at home and found it difficult to cope although she doesn't always remember that. The food appears to be good and she eats well. She seems happy in the moment and mixes well. We hope she will eventually completely settle.
My husband has stayed here for 2 respite periods and we can't fault the home from arrival to leaving. All the staff are lovely and can't do enough for him. The food is excellent. The rooms are 5 star. There is always something going on to entertain the residents. I always feel reassured when I leave him there that he is going to be safe and well looked after.
Such a warm welcome when you go in, all the staff are so caring and nothing is too much trouble.
I was most impressed by the professionalism of all at Ayton House. My wife was cared for with warm care and sensitivity right up until the end. I also thought the physical characteristics of the home were excellent- fresh tasteful paintwork, a good room and bathroom, good dining room and good lounge. The food was excellent.
Ayton House is very much a feeling of "Home from Home "atmosphere . Charming decor and very pleasant caring team The food is outstanding and so well balanced and nutritious . Pleasant gatherings of barbecues and other social occasions . Altogether a very happy feeling .
My father has regular respite accommodation booked throughout the year, which comes as a great comfort for me and him. The staff are always so welcoming and receive him with immense love and care. As he has been attending regularly, he is now personally known to all the staff, who precisely understand his needs from the moment he enters the house. The pre-planning that goes into his visits is meticulously planned, which we thoroughly appreciate. As the house is brand new, the cleanliness and attention to detail are incredible. From the entrance cafe to the dining rooms and leisure areas, including the roof garden, they are delightful. He always looks forward to his stay, and we know he is completely safe and cared for. You honestly would find it hard to find fault.
Ayton House is a special place. Being brand new and purpose built, the facilities are of course excellent, but it is the qualities of the special people there that elvates it. Not just my father but our whole family have been embraced and cared for with professionalism, courtesy, respect and extreme kindness. We were so supported in navigating the practical and emotional course of Dad's changing needs during his stay. We were always kept informed and given so much helpful information. We were also enabled to relinquish the roles of carers to spend precious time just as family, enjoying the day to day life and activities. Because of the exceptional tender loving care Dad was receiving, we could come away each day with confidence, as were leaving him with those who became extended family. Our experience has been that Ayton House is full of people who care about why they are there, who go above and beyond the call of duty, with every department contributing. The result is excellence and we are very grateful.
Ayton House is a lovely home. All of the décor is to a high standard and tastefully and thoughtfully done. The corridors are like an art gallery with pictures that would be of interest and stimulate memories for residents. There are many social areas which provide spaces to be enjoyed privately with visitors, or communally. The staff are professional, friendly, caring and respectful. We have been very impressed with Ayton and are glad that Father-in-law is able to be safe, comfortable and happy in his new home.
My 99 year old father has recently moved into Ayton house after looking after himself at home. It is a very stressful time to move into a care home. All the staff at Ayton house have been so welcoming and kind to my father. As a result he is settling in very well. I can thoroughly recommend Ayton house. On top of that the restaurant is fantastic with a very high quality menu.
My elderly father decided to move into Ayton House to recover from the flu, which had required hospitalisation. Initially meant as a trial, he has remained in Aython House as he recognises that although he could manage at home with support, having all his meals prepared, and all his laundry done for him was a relief. Now we know he is always safe, as staff check on him hourly, as before Ayton, we had to contact him daily. He is enjoying his room, especially the patio outside his room, which he can sit in every sunny morning to read his newspapers, which are delivered daily. He is still able to enjoy watching cycling and skiing via his Skybox. His twice daily ritual of walking to the cafe to get an espresso coffee and the weekly group exercises is giving him a new lease of life by rebuilding his strength and fitness. The facilities at Ayton House are impressive, with multiple smaller dining rooms and lounges in each section and large common areas for group activities.
My father has been at Ayton House for 2 1/2 months now and was one of the first residents. It was a big change for him and we were nervous how he would settle in but overall we're happy that he's settled in well. The main thing is that he's well looked after and is happy and at Ayton House, he is.
Can't praise Ayton House enough. Facilities, staff, atmosphere, level of care and attention to detail are all exemplary. My mother was not so keen on going into a care home but Ayton House went out of their way to facilitate this difficult move and Mum is now well settled and very happy.
