My mum came to Manor, albeit reluctantly in December 2024 and from the day she arrived at this beautiful 5 star home I have nothing but praise for the AMAZING care and patience and love they have shown to my lovely mum. The staff, all of them are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble from dietary or religious needs to always offering us a nice cuppa when we come. As time has gone on mums needs have become more intense and the staff have stepped up to the extra care required with a compassion that you would only think family would give. Me and my siblings and all our family are so grateful that we know mum is getting the best possible care we could want in her twilight days and the bonus is - it's in the most beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. I cannot praise it highly enough - we are very lucky and fortunate . Thank you Clare and all the wonderful team.

Mum came into Manor House almost ten months ago, at first just for respite. We immediately saw how much safer Mum was and the kindness shown with such attentive and genuine care was way above what we ever expected. The home decor and gardens are without doubt beautiful but the most valuable part of Manor House Home is the wonderful care all the residents enjoy. Recently Mum's health has started to deteriorate but we were immediately reassured Mum will have all that is needed to keep her comfortable and safe. We feel very fortunate to know our Mum is so very content and so well cared for, thanks to the exceptional carers.

Activities at Manor House organised by Ahmad are great. Regular events + daily Activities for the residents, games + quizzes, frequent singers + musical events + morning exercises to keep people moving. Afternoon tea is a regular + coffee + cakes with a good chit chat. Fun had by all for singing + dancing when entertainment is on. The garden party was fantastic, looking forward to future events. Although moving into a Care Home was not what either Mum or I wanted to happen, we knew it was going to be the safer option for her. Moving Mum to The Manor, Roundhay means she is in a safe environment where she is well looked after and safe, meaning we can enjoy quality time together as mother & daughter when I visit. She is very well cared for and enjoys the food, it's lovely for me also to be able to join her occasionally for a meal so we can eat together as we always did. There is always a cup of tea for us when I go to visit. There is a varied programme of activities led by the coordinator Ahmad with other volunteers assisting. Initially mum was quite hesitant to join in, but with their gentle encouragement and assistance she has actually enjoyed joining in some activities, enabling her to meet some of the other residents too. There is a varied weekly timetable including board games, exercises sessions, quizzes, visiting musicians and even a visit from lama's this week.

The manager, a heartfelt thank you to you and your amazing team at The Manor House, Roundhay. Moving Mum at 100 wasn't easy, but from the moment she arrived, we knew she was in safe hands. Her mood lifted almost instantly, and your thoughtful photo the next day really reassured us. Her room is bright and spacious with a gorgeous garden view, and the whole home has a warm, welcoming feel. Every staff member is friendly and nothing's too much trouble. Special mention to Abby at reception, her cheerful smile always lights up the day. The food looks fantastic, and the dining room could rival any hotel. It's a joy to visit.

The Manager and all her staff have been so welcoming and kind. When we decided to move my very elderly mother to Roundhay Manor I had some reservation because of her age and condition! How wrong was I! She settled in immediately. Since moving she's had her hair, nails and a pedicure done. The kindness of the staff is second to none, thank you. Ps they also have a bar and mums favourite tipple is a Baileys!!!

From the moment you walk into The Manor House you are fully welcomed and think Wow to staff attention and also the house itself. Through this difficult time for my mother and also family we feel at ease now that she is with great great people who understand her needs and now also ours. Well done to the manager and all your staff , you really have been so good and we are forever grateful.

I'd like to leave comments relating to a time that none of us want to experience but will, nonetheless, happen one day. As my mum (the first resident of this wonderful care home) was approaching the end of her life, the amazing staff at The Manor House Roundhay not only wanted to care for my mum but actively helped me in obtaining her release from the NHS hospital where she was quite frankly just being left to die. The end of life care that the staff carried out was second to none and way above the call of duty. Restoring her dignity, making her supremely comfortable, ensuring there was always someone by her side throughout the night, they were simply amazing. They even ensured she had her favourite lipstick on as the end approached. They were wonderful with me keeping me informed and after she passed they dealt with me in an empathetic and a 100% cooperative manner. And when she left for the last time, there was a guard of honour by all the staff and residents. First class

Mum has been at the Manor House since the end of February. Whilst she would prefer still to be at home, that isn't possible now and this is absolutely the best alternative for her. It's a new build, so the facilities are excellent but what is much more important is the amazing staff. Everyone is so kind and caring - nothing is too much trouble, and mum is treated with care and dignity. It has a lovely atmosphere with the staff and residents often having fun together. I'd recommend this home to anyone.

The care that my father is receiving at The Manor Roundhay is second to none. All the staff are amazing and supportive of him and his needs, they are also incredible in how they support the whole family, keeping us informed. The environment is truly welcoming, made all the more special by the people that work there. This is the template for what good care homes should be. Thank you to everyone who works there.

Knowing that mum is receiving such compassionate and attentive support at the Manor has truly brought us peace of mind. It's been six months and mum absolutely loves living there. The Manor is not only clean and beautifully decorated, but the care and facilities are also outstanding. My mum has always taken pride in her appearance, but as she has become more frail this has become more challenging for her. Thankfully, the team at the Chester Suite is exceptional; they always ensure her hair is done and that she is well-dressed. The staff are brilliant at keeping her engaged with the wonderful activities available, and they are consistently friendly, caring, and professional. We, as a family, are always kept well informed about any medical updates or concerns, and they are always available to address any questions we may have. Whenever I bring others to visit they are initially taken aback by the stunning building, but even more so by the remarkable care and support my mum receives.

The Manor House Roundhay has risen the bar and set the standard! Set in beautiful surroundings, the interior offers gorgeous accommodation with comfort a number one priority. It is very much a residential home of exceptionally high standard. While this is all important, it's the care that stands out. Under the manager's management her team offer the highest standard of care and compassion. Great care has been taken with Mum, who was frail and anxious leading up to her move to Manor House. We needn't have worried, she was welcomed and cared for and settled in with great attention, and in a short time has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are lovely, friendly, professional and hugely caring to both residents and their families. We were made to feel more than welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. It's a huge decision to place a parent into care, but we are happy and relieved Mum now has a beautiful happy home to call her own.

It's lovely; light, airy, happy vibe, kind staff, very clean and new, and the food's great; beautiful building and a great view over roundhay park... what's not to love. I'd happily move in and curl up on one of the sofas with a book myself for the next year or so! My parents-in-law are treated like royalty; that are very happy staying at The Manor House.

It was a huge decision moving Mum and Dad into a care home and one that took a long time. Mum and Dad loved it from their first visit. The Manor House is like a 5-star hotel and is so beautiful, calm and relaxing. The staff are just exceptional. All of them. They could not do enough for Mum and Dad and all of us, right from their first visit. We initially booked them in for 2 weeks as respite care, Mum and Dad loved it so much, they agreed they wanted to stay. You are always greeted with a warm welcome whenever you arrive and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The manager set us at ease right from the start, she was supportive, understanding, caring and helpful - as are all the staff, right from the barmen and chef to the care assistants and support staff. Mum and Dad are engaged in lots of different activities every day - dancing/ bingo/ quizzes and the food is excellent too. The care shown to my parents is just second to none. I can't thank them enough.

All our family are so pleased that he is staying with you, and please do pass this review on to all the staff. Every member of staff I meet or speak to when I visit are doing a fantastic job, which I'm sure can be very challenging and difficult at times. Everyone treats my father with the upmost respect and has his best interests at heart all the time - they listen to him and give him the care and attention he needs. He has the best quality of life, despite his condition. We are so glad to have moved him to stay with you.

Great care and time has been given to my brother with his dementia to settle into The Manor. Massive peace of mind for all the family, especially his wife. Importantly, he is happier, too. The staff go that little bit more out of their way to help.

My mum has dementia and recently became unable to cope and required a brief time in hospital. We had to remove her from hospital because she was so distressed and after staying with us we realised she needed full-time care. As we walked through the doors of The Manor House we could not fail to be impressed by the beautiful decor but more than that we felt at ease as the manager showed us round. The careful detail to the cafe area, the sweet shop, the self-playing piano and the way the manager knew the name of each resident and stopped to check on them. We of course were more than anxious about how Mum may settle in after the disastrous time in hospital but the carers seem to know just what to do to distract each resident and not only that they were great at putting our minds at rest too. It's never a problem if we want to dine with Mum even on Christmas Day. Mum's life is very full with so much going on to keep them entertained, our favourite being the Strictly Come Dancing final!

Having known my friend and his family for many years I was told he was in the Roundhay Manor on Park Avenue Roundhay. I called to see him last week, well what a fabulous home it is indeed, warm, and friendly it's more like a 5-star Hotel with beautiful views over Roundhay Park. My friend was more than happy there he told me as he proudly took me to see his room and then into the lounge area with a well-stocked bar for a Brandy and Ginger ale or a nice coffee and mince pie, he told me that the food was like a restaurant and what I saw of it was correct. The manager and staff could not do more for my guests and me. I would love to live there myself when I am older. I hope there will be room for me. Thanks to all the staff at Roundhay Manor on behalf of my friend.

My mum is currently residing at The Manor House after a spell in hospital. It's a beautiful home with a kind, caring and very helpful manager. The team are fabulous with my mum who it's fair to say was a little reluctant. Mum is enjoying wonderful food, looks well and seems happy - she's even been enjoying some social activities.

Our mum has dementia and has been in the The Manor House Roundhay Care Home since October, her 3rd care home. We are so fortunate to have found the Manor House, part of the established Anchor Group. The building is amazing, in a fabulous location, overlooking Roundhay Park. Internally, the decor, fixtures and fittings are stunning, more like a luxury hotel than a care home. The care mum is receiving is outstanding, the care team really do care about mum's challenges with dementia and treat her with kindness and dignity. They also try to include her in the varied program of daily activities. The food is amazing too, in beautiful dining rooms. The Management team is professional, kind, efficient, supportive and very approachable. This was so important to us when choosing a home for mum. Care homes aren't cheap, but we were surprised to find that the fees are around the same as we'd been paying at the previous care homes, a result I assume of Anchor being a not-for-profit organisation. Thank you to all.
