Mum came to Mill Court for a two week respite stay. Nicola and her team were very welcoming, did a fantastic job of caring for her, and were responsive to feedback. The home itself is new and well-appointed. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied and a good social atmosphere.
The stay was a real tonic: we were amazed how much Mum's mental and physical state improved over the period. She will be coming back in the future. Highly recommended.

Resident for 2 weeks - convalescing after 8 days in the hospital, having fallen and fractured hips.
Staff at all levels in the Care Home have been welcoming, helpful, kind and professional. I would recomend Mill Court Care Home.

Mill Court is like a luxury hotel. Every single member of staff is friendly, welcoming and highly professional. My 100 year old friend has always been very sociable and has gained a new lease of life since moving to Mill Court, it is a joy to see her embracing all the amazing activities & outings.
The attention to personalised care, be that going for a walk, gardening or arts & crafts is to be commended.

My family and I have been very impressed with Mill Court. My mum is very happy. She always tells u that the staff are lovely and the food is excellent. When we visit it is a charming place to spend time with her. We never imagined that the move there would be as smooth as it was. (The manager acted
very quickly to make it happen)
The reception staff, restaurant servers, carers and management all seem to genuinely CARE about my mum's wellbeing. The Activities team are also great, making lots of effort to include my mum in outings.

I found Mill Court excellent. I have one observation to make & that is the medical surgery backing up the home should be nearer + have a higher rating. It lets the care down.

My mother recently needed to move into a different care home. The transfer from a nursing home to Barchester Mill Court Care Home was handled professionally and with great care to ensure my mother was included in all aspects of the move. All of the staff made sure she was quickly settled in and felt
at home in her new surroundings.
She is looking forward to joining in with the wide variety of activities provided
We have been impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff.

Celebration off my Aunts 100th birthday at Mill Court. From the organising of the day everyone was on board, manageress to admin staff. A private lunch was arranged. A lovely three course meal was served by the chef. Next came a homemade cake, shared with the residents. Throughout the day my Aunt
felt very special. A very big thank from the family.

This has been my first experience of respite care. I have been very happy all round. Staff, food, activities etc. have all been good. Staff made me feel very welcome.

Staff are very helpful and caring. They do their best to auticidate our needs. Accommodation is of a high standard and well cared for. Food is always adequate. The best is that most staff anticipate my needs and sometimes introduce humour and smiles in what might otherwise be a sad environment.

My mother originally stayed at Mill Court for a trial 2 weeks and was so happy there that she became a resident. She is so well looked after, staff are excellent and always concerned for Mum's wellbeing. From a daughter's point of view it takes the worry away knowing that she is in such good hands.

My husband stayed for a week's Respite Care and; almost; does not want to come home!
Everything was exemplary and of course it is so re-assuring for me that he is happy.
We are looking forward to his next stay!

Barchester Mill Court Care Home is a very special place. My mother moved in last week and although it has only been a week, it feels like home. The staff are all very caring and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well laid out and kept clean and tidy. The activities are carefully organised
and inclusive no matter what your disability. Families visiting are also made to feel at home.

My mother was the first person into the home and it was not an easy transition but she was very well looked after. However as more people have come in I feel that things are not running as well as they should. On the occasions when I have been with her when she has had a meal the food is very poor.
Soggy poor quality white bread toasted, re heated food and tasteless. Communications are not good either. I was rung up at 9.30 pm the other Saturday night about transportation for my mother for a long standing appointment at the hospital for the Monday. On other occasions I have had 3 staff ring me up about the same hospital visit asking me the same questions. There does not seem to be much communication between each other or system in place. This does not fill me with great confidence. My mother has dementia but seems contented and the care workers are amazing. I feel for the price we are paying per week things in the general running of the place need to improve hugely.
