View Full Details of Reuben ManorMy husband was a resident from March 2025 -September 2025 approximately six months before he sadly passed away and the care that he was given was wonderful from the day he arrived and the staff gave him help with everything he did and they were very understanding and supportive when he was feeling ill or down. I myself was made very welcome also our daughter and son. So on behalf of my family I would like to thank everyone for all the care, love , support and attention given to him and us,once again a big thank you to you all.
Mum has been in Reuben Manor since November last year. We hated the idea of 'putting her in ' a care home but the decision had to be made as she was literacy dying in her assisted living facility, spending hours sleeping in bed and not eating. They couldn't provide the care she needed anymore. ( They were amazing but mum's needs changed). Moving her broke my heart but it was definitely the right decision. At first we lacked trust which is understandable after the care mum had had before but Reuben Manor soon gained it. The day after mum moved in she was up and dressed. The first time in 7 months. They gradually introduced her into the communal room and to activities. The staff have been just incredible with her and us. The chaplain Fiona was amazing with my family and I as we had been mum's main carers and had to let this go. We found it so difficult to let others do our job. She sat and talked us so many times. The staff have become friends and Mum is thriving. We know she is loved
My father came to Reuban Manor in January 2025, he was welcomed and made to feel part of this very special community from his first day. I phone him daily and ask how his day has been and his response is that he has had a marvellous day with the activities, talking to staff and in general just being in such a caring environment. The pastoral care is exceptional and it is such a relief for the family that he is happy, safe and well.
My Mum first came in for respite in June and is now a permanent resident. She seems to have settled in well. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only problem I have is parking when visiting her. The car park is very small for the size of the care home.
I normally visit my wife four to five times each week and have found absolutely nothing to complain about, regarding the care and constant attention she receives. Reuben Manor is a very happy place, managed by a very competent and professional team at all levels. After visiting for over six years, they have always treated me like one of the family, for which I will always be grateful.
For the last 10 years this care home has been a wonderful home for my grandmother. The staff treated her with incredible dignity and respect, creating a genuinely caring and compassionate environment. Yes, it was a care home but it was also her home.
The staff of Reuben Manor are always supportive from the carers to the management. They have my mum's best interests at heart and can read the signs of any health related issues as they work with her so much that they understand her pattern of behaviour. One member of the care also liaised with GP above and beyond to ensure my mum's needs were met. She enjoys the food and activities and management have always been supportive over the financial aspect of care.
Overall rating I'd give good, food is not deemed satisfactory. Same sandwiches for evening meals, cake and custard every day and mash. A pasty for evening meal is not acceptable for the money paid. Wheelchair users contained to building unless it's their turn to visit local pub. When she asks for a bath, she's told staff are busy. I see that staff are very busy but this is not an excuse. Activities staff and carers work very hard and do their best with residents. I wouldn't want mam anywhere else but room for improvement.
Prior to arrival, all staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Made us feel unique. My father has settled in well. No concerns. Everything we've requested, for example, mirror and clock up in the room, to a chiropractor visit and a haircut done ASAP has been sorted. Hopefully, this journey of care will continue.
So pleased my husband came to Reuben Manor for his care. He is now part of a new family, and made to feel very safe and very well cared for in every aspect.
When you enter the care home, there is a very warm and homely welcome waiting for you. I cannot fault the staff, they are excellent with the residents and the family members who came to visit.
Staff seem very nice and pleasant. The room is comfortable and homely, especially as you can have personal items of comfort. Food sounds nice and there are plenty of things going on that can be joined in. Visiting times are very flexible which helps if you are working, to be able to come in the evening. The environment is very clean, comfortable and modern.
Fantastic home, always clean and smells lovely, staff are always so caring and kind to my gran. Activities are outstanding and always something on for everyone to get involved in. Food always smells amazing.
Very clean, nice friendly staff. My dad is very well looked after.
I find Reuben Manor to be a lovely place to live in. The rooms are nice, they can bring their own things if they want or they are furnished if you don't. There's plenty going on for them, they are encouraged to join in so they're not in their room alone. But if they want to stay in their room that is ok too. The staff are exceptional, very caring. The food is good. My mam loves being in there, she said it's like being on holiday.
My dad has been a resident for approximately six months now. His care is excellent, I feel he is well looked after by all staff. It is a shame he's deaf, as this impacts on his joining in when activities are available. He enjoys his food and if it's something he does not fancy, an alternative is offered. I have no worry in leaving him in your care. Thank you.
My grandma has been a resident for over 2 years now, she is able to chat with staff and is very well cared for day to day. Gives us as a family peace of mind knowing she is safe and well. The staff are kind and friendly, polite and above all respect my grandma and give her the support and dignity she deserves.
Always very chatty to me and kind. All the staff are lovely - carers, laundry, kitchen, maintenance and reception. Everything is pleasing and happy. Has nice gardens.
Excellent service and care. Highly recommend.
Having been here for about a year, I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are polite, friendly and caring. I enjoy the activities which are regular and frequent and they have evolved to include my favorites and suggestions. The Chaplin is approachable, supportive and attentive whenever I felt the need. I'd appreciate more variety in the deserts, to include lighter options.
