Reuben Manor provides residential, dementia and short-stay care for up to 83 residents in a modern, purpose-built home on the edge of Yarm in Stockton-on-Tees.

Opened in 2009 and named in honour of the founder’s father, the home was designed to offer a safe, welcoming environment with a personal touch. It’s located close to local shops, cafés and green spaces, offering a quiet yet well-connected setting.

The home is spread over three floors with a dedicated dementia suite on the middle level. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space. Communal areas include a coffee shop, piano lounge, and comfortable lounges that encourage connection and social time.

The grounds feature landscaped gardens, a greenhouse, raised beds, and a central courtyard linking the outdoor spaces. Residents enjoy gardening, summer parties, and time outdoors, with wheelchair-friendly paths throughout.

Dining is flexible and resident-led, with meals made fresh daily using seasonal produce. Traditional favourites, personal requests, and themed days are part of the weekly rhythm. Tea trolleys and treat baskets support choice and comfort at any time of day.

Activities include music therapy, “Love to Move” exercise, craft sessions, minibus outings, and animal visits. From seaside trips to Christmas fayres, each day offers meaningful ways to connect, create and enjoy life.

The staff of Reuben Manor are always supportive from the carers to the management. They have my mum's best interests at heart and can read the signs of any health related issues as they work with her so much that they understand her pattern of behaviour. One member of the care also liaised with GP above
and beyond to ensure my mum's needs were met. She enjoys the food and activities and management have always been supportive over the financial aspect of care.

Overall rating I'd give good, food is not deemed satisfactory. Same sandwiches for evening meals, cake and custard every day and mash. A pasty for evening meal is not acceptable for the money paid. Wheelchair users contained to building unless it's their turn to visit local pub. When she asks for a
bath, she's told staff are busy. I see that staff are very busy but this is not an excuse. Activities staff and carers work very hard and do their best with residents. I wouldn't want mam anywhere else but room for improvement.

Prior to arrival, all staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Made us feel unique. My father has settled in well. No concerns. Everything we've requested, for example, mirror and clock up in the room, to a chiropractor visit and a haircut done ASAP has been sorted. Hopefully, this journey of care
will continue.

Staff seem very nice and pleasant. The room is comfortable and homely, especially as you can have personal items of comfort. Food sounds nice and there are plenty of things going on that can be joined in. Visiting times are very flexible which helps if you are working, to be able to come in the evening.
The environment is very clean, comfortable and modern.

I find Reuben Manor to be a lovely place to live in. The rooms are nice, they can bring their own things if they want or they are furnished if you don't. There's plenty going on for them, they are encouraged to join in so they're not in their room alone. But if they want to stay in their room that is
ok too. The staff are exceptional, very caring. The food is good. My mam loves being in there, she said it's like being on holiday.

My dad has been a resident for approximately six months now. His care is excellent, I feel he is well looked after by all staff. It is a shame he's deaf, as this impacts on his joining in when activities are available. He enjoys his food and if it's something he does not fancy, an alternative is offered.
I have no worry in leaving him in your care. Thank you.

My grandma has been a resident for over 2 years now, she is able to chat with staff and is very well cared for day to day. Gives us as a family peace of mind knowing she is safe and well.

Having been here for about a year, I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are polite, friendly and caring. I enjoy the activities which are regular and frequent and they have evolved to include my favorites and suggestions. The Chaplin is approachable, supportive and attentive whenever I felt the

We visit with my uncle every Sunday and have always found every member of staff we have come into contact with, to be extremely pleasant and helpful. Reuben Manor is a lovely building, the lounges and bedrooms are welcoming, very well set out and kept to the highest of standards. There is a comprehensive

My wife has been in Reuben Manor care for over five years. Over that period, I have had no reason to complain about any of the services or care provided.
They provide an extremely safe, caring environment for my wife, who has vascular dementia and is confined to a wheelchair.
I'm always welcome at
any time and encouraged to feel part of the family atmosphere.
The main strength of Rueben Manor is the attention to every detail, which ensures that the care and happiness of my wife and the other residents are the top priority by maintaining strong alternative family support.

Reuben Manor is the best care home I have actively visited in our area. In recent years two family members have been residents in two local care homes and I can say that this one is by far superior. The staff are very professional. I am aware there are daily activities available to the residents. Also,
the surroundings are really nice and this is also a contributing factor to making residents stay more enjoyable.

Reuben Manor was the only home we would have considered given the outstanding care our mother received here. Not only is the home warm, welcoming, and immaculate but the care our sister receives is second to none. The staff are attentive and caring, going above and beyond to make sure our sister is
well looked after, safe, and comfortable, which in turn allows us to relax and have peace of mind. From the activities that are offered, to the supporting staff such as the cleaners, laundry, kitchen, and admin team, we are beyond happy with the provision. Particular mention to the carers is important, as our sister has settled more than we could have imagined or hoped for. Reuben Manor has turned what was an impossibly challenging and upsetting situation into a wholly positive experience for which our family is incredibly grateful.
