Overall Experience

Visited my sister three times this month as she has transferred from another care home thankfully. She has settled in very well and we have seen a great improvement in her well-being.

The building, gardens, bedrooms and common rooms are of a very high standard.
Staff are very pleasant, and tactile with residents and treat them with respect. Above all, they are professional, approachable and very friendly (humourous too).
I am happy to visit my sister here knowing she is also happy to be in your care.

May you keep the professional standard you have set as excellent. Thank you.

My father came to Rueben Manor after a long period in hospital. Despite suffering with vascular dementia he was moved onto residential as the experienced, caring staff recognised he needed a lot of stimulus. He was encouraged to do his poetry readings for staff and residents, which he loved. The activities programme is exceptional, as is the use of families, to keep loved ones in touch with their families. Rueben Manor is always spotlessly clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. I would wholeheartedly recommend this outstanding care home.

All of the staff and carers are very friendly, caring and helpful. I live quite a long distance from the care home and am pleased that I am kept informed of my father's general condition and health. Reuben Manor is a very attractive home with comfortable communal areas and the garden areas are pretty and well maintained with outside seating places. My father says he is very happy and settled at Reuben Manor. I could not ask for more.

The staff at Reuben Manor were extremely kind and helpful when we had to move both parents into a care home.

They both have different care needs, so it was a difficult time.

My auntie loves her new home. She says there is always lots to do although she hasn't had a trip on the minibus yet. Activities are taking place all day throughout the home even at weekends when senior care staff will set up crosswords or quizzes.
My auntie likes to choose her meals each day from the menu and if she doesn't like what is offered staff always offer her something different. She even has snacks in between meals to help with her weight gain.
The home is very clean and tidy. I have noticed how quickly her clothes are washed dried and returned back to her all nicely ironed.
The management are always friendly and willing to listen to any concerns.

Overall my family are over the moon with how happy and well-looked after my auntie is. Keep up the good work I know how hard you all work but you all just keep smiling. God bless you all

I think all the staff are brilliant. They treat me like mother hen. The food is always tasty. The building is spotless and you couldn't fault it. Staff are always friendly and keep our spirits up. Always plenty to do from singing to quizzes. I like to knit and do jigsaws. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

My mum has settled very well into Reuben Manor Care Home. She is very happy here and has made a lot of new friends and thoroughly enjoys the company. The staff are kind and caring in particular the Deputy Manager who is excellent, very focused and involved in the care aspect and well being of my mum and all the residents that I have observed. The home is beautiful and well maintained throughout. Thank you so much to all the staff.

I have been so impressed with the high quality of care that Reuben Manor has provided for my mum. The home has such a warm, bright and welcoming feel. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff, they have provided loving care, help and support not only to mum but to myself over the past 3 years. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Due to covid restrictions, we are unable to visit mum as often as we would like to. Therefore our judgment of no standard of care mum receives is limited. However, we do have concerns over mums basic care needs being met. Examples are: fingernails left unclean, teeth left in overnight, sore on her arm that staff didn't notice, and mum kept in isolation and not tested for covid daily.

The care and dedication my mom received whilst in Reuben Manor care home was outstanding. Sadly my mom passed away peacefully in the home in February 2022. The commitment of the staff whilst my mom was very poorly went beyond just care. I will always be grateful for the help and attention to detail she was shown whilst in Reuben Manor. Thank you once again.

Mum has been a resident of Reuben Manor for over four years and the care that she has received throughout this time has been superb. The dedicated staff are always cheerful and provide care to the highest of standards. The meals are varied and always enjoyed by Mum. The decor and furnishings within the home are very tasteful and the lovely gardens are maintained beautifully.

Continued and sincere thanks to all of the staff at Reuben Manor.

We have only been involved with Reuben Manor for a couple of months. Staff and management have gone out of their way to make sure my sister has settled in. Her care is second to none. Food is generally very good but maybe a change from custard every day would be nice!

Keep up the good work everyone!

When it became apparent that Mum needed additional care, Reuben Manor was the first home that we viewed. It was obvious, immediately, that there was no need to look any further. Beautifully furnished and decorated with excellent facilities. It has such a happy, calming ambience. Varied, interesting activities are planned for the residents which promote their individual interests and a varied, delicious menu. The staff are extremely professional, kind, caring and provide amazing care to Mum, who initially, enjoyed a couple of weeks of respite care and as a consequence decided that she was happy to make Reuben Manor her home. Mum has now been a resident for almost four years and has met many lovely residents. She absolutely loves her room, which she decided to part furnish with treasured, personal memories. Knowing that Mum is happy and well cared for is so reassuring. A huge thanks to all of the dedicated team who go above and beyond.

After an unimaginably difficult 18 months, I cannot thank the staff enough for the kindness and care that they have shown mum. They have been her family whilst we have been unable to be there in person. Mum so appreciates you all and, therefore, so do I.

My Mam was recently a resident in Reuben Manor. The care she received was exceptional. All staff members, carers, reception, laundry and management were wonderful and as a family, we felt that our treasured Mam was in the best place possible. We could not fault the care given and would highly recommend Reuben Manor, what a wonderful place, thank you for everything.

Having lived most of her life in Eaglescliffe, Reuben Manor was the perfect place for Mum to move into last year when she finally needed full-time care and it's really close for family visits which is important, especially for my Dad. Since she moved in, she has had the best care that we could wish for. The staff are all, without exception, professional and genuinely caring and I never worry about how she is being looked after. The manager and her team keep in touch if Mum needs anything or if she isn't well. This is so important, especially at the moment with not being able to visit due to Covid-19. Mum is very happy and settled, she loves the staff, they really look after her and they all seem to laugh a lot which is lovely. Her room is always clean and the laundry is done really quickly. She can't praise the food and chefs enough and the residents' activities are thoughtfully planned. My family are extremely grateful to everyone working there, they do a fantastic job in a very caring way!

I am really pleased with the care that my dad gets from all the staff at Reuben Manor, from the carers to the manger - it is fantastic. Especially with COVID, I have been kept informed about how my dad is doing and had regular video chat calls and I feel they are doing everything to keep him safe. My dad is always praising the staff on how much they do for him he is really happy there.

I am so, so, impressed with the overall service this care home has to offer. One of the more quality standard care homes in Stockton. The decor is absolutely exceptional, too. We all want the best quality for our relatives and friends as they get older. 20 out of 5. Haha. Other care home managers in their care homes need to take note. It's refreshing that my friend who moved here tells me that he likes it here, as the other residential care homes he stayed in previously were too scruffy and were in noisy roads, but this care home is in a more peaceful area of Stockton, so it's more relaxing for him. He said he wants to stay here for the rest of his life.

I visited Dad today. The home had thought of everything to keep everyone safe. The Care Assistant took charge of the situation and still created a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere. Dad is so well cared for as an individual and talks highly of everything. We love what you do here, especially at this time. Thank you.
