Reuben Manor provides residential, dementia and short-stay care for up to 83 residents in a modern, purpose-built home on the edge of Yarm in Stockton-on-Tees.

Opened in 2009 and named in honour of the founder’s father, the home was designed to offer a safe, welcoming environment with a personal touch. It’s located close to local shops, cafés and green spaces, offering a quiet yet well-connected setting.

The home is spread over three floors with a dedicated dementia suite on the middle level. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space. Communal areas include a coffee shop, piano lounge, and comfortable lounges that encourage connection and social time.

The grounds feature landscaped gardens, a greenhouse, raised beds, and a central courtyard linking the outdoor spaces. Residents enjoy gardening, summer parties, and time outdoors, with wheelchair-friendly paths throughout.

Dining is flexible and resident-led, with meals made fresh daily using seasonal produce. Traditional favourites, personal requests, and themed days are part of the weekly rhythm. Tea trolleys and treat baskets support choice and comfort at any time of day.

The team at Reuben Manor are exceptional. What's really noticeable at Reuben, is everyone from the cleaners and maintenance guys to the receptionists and professional carers are all friendly and seem to know every resident and every visitor. It's a great place to visit.
My mum is in her 90s and extremely
poorly, but on her good days she really enjoys the fabulous environment and the broad range of activities that the staff organise.
Reuben Manor is like a luxury hotel and I don't think you could find more caring staff.

One of the things that impressed us about Reuben Manor as a place for my mother-in-law, to us, was the peace and quiet. At Reuben Manor recently, there seem to have been some issues with how the alert system was being used/misused (I don't feel as though I know the full reasons at this point). Therefore,
the alarm system has reverted to audible on the corridors. Fortunately, they are not as piercing as at the other home, but I do think that this retrograde step.
The care is exemplary, the staff are wonderful and ready to engage with the residents to allow people to make their own decisions. Food is excellent with requests catered for when able.
When my father-in-law (who was also a resident at Reuben Manor) passed away, the care and support they gave to us as a family was fantastic, allowing him to pass in comfort with people who cared and loved him around him. We really couldn't praise them enough. I have recommended it to others a couple of times and their relatives are also happy.

We are very pleased with the care my brother is receiving, Reuban Manor is always clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and efficient. It was pleasing to see the recent redecorating and replacement carpets work has been completed and looking good.

Rueben Manor made it a lovely Christmas month for my Mum and all the residents. There was something special every day for them and all the staff excelled themselves continually throughout the whole month.

Medication is too often given early to take later, e.g. paracetamol and due 2 pm given 1 pm (heart medication). Have to mention when presented a medication is missing, it is checked and then supplied. Happens above responsible expected error.
Some staff tend to adjust heater temperatures or/and open
windows without asking or to suit their requirements rather than residents.
The staff said to a resident in the crowded dining room 'You are being offensive' This had improved since I arrived.
Beds are not made and similar day-to-day rooms are not checked.
Care by staff for a resident in serious condition or end of life is excellent.

Reuben Maynor is a lovely sister home, Careers are amazing with my grandma, cleaners do a lovely job, activities coordinators are good at what they do, and the staff are really polite. My Grandma is well looked after.

It is always very emotional having to put a parent into care when they are no longer safe in their home. However, I am truly grateful to the staff - management, carers, cleaners, chefs and the ground staff - for the care and compassion they show every single day. My dad has settled in very quickly because
of that compassion. Activities that he enjoys such as singing are always offered to him. Never underestimate the value of your role as carers - it is such an important one - and one carried out with such kindness, attention and compassion. Thank you all!

Reuben Manor is a safe, warm, well-equipped home with some excellent caring staff. The rooms are nice, although could do with new carpets. The bathrooms could also do with updating if I'm being critical. There are lovely gardens and communal areas and everything is kept very clean. Residents and relatives
are treated with dignity and respect. There is a friendly, cosy atmosphere and I feel my mum is safe and well looked after here. Any issues we have had have usually been dealt with quickly. The only negative can be the food, which is nice but nothing special, which we were expecting for the price my mum pays. Overall we are very happy.

I’m a volunteer with WAG and Company North East Friendship Dogs, I’ve been visiting an elderly lady here for a number of weeks with my Sproodle dog Lily. I’m retired now but my previous occupation was a Registered Nurse in Mental Health. We love visiting here, the staff are always very welcoming, friendly
and caring. The nursing home is beautiful and my client seems to have settled in very well and the care she receives is compassionate and of a very high standard.

Since my brother-in-law was admitted into Reuban Manor care home he has settled in very well and seems content, the staff are very helpful friendly and caring.
Each time we have visited the home is warm and very clean and tidy. s a result we are very happy with his situation.

Visited my sister three times this month as she has transferred from another care home thankfully. She has settled in very well and we have seen a great improvement in her well-being.


The building, gardens, bedrooms and common rooms are of a very high standard.
Staff are very pleasant, and tactile

with residents and treat them with respect. Above all, they are professional, approachable and very friendly (humourous too).
I am happy to visit my sister here knowing she is also happy to be in your care.

My father came to Rueben Manor after a long period in hospital. Despite suffering with vascular dementia he was moved onto residential as the experienced, caring staff recognised he needed a lot of stimulus. He was encouraged to do his poetry readings for staff and residents, which he loved. The activities
programme is exceptional, as is the use of families, to keep loved ones in touch with their families. Rueben Manor is always spotlessly clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. I would wholeheartedly recommend this outstanding care home.

All of the staff and carers are very friendly, caring and helpful. I live quite a long distance from the care home and am pleased that I am kept informed of my father's general condition and health. Reuben Manor is a very attractive home with comfortable communal areas and the garden areas are pretty
and well maintained with outside seating places. My father says he is very happy and settled at Reuben Manor. I could not ask for more.

I think all the staff are brilliant. They treat me like mother hen. The food is always tasty. The building is spotless and you couldn't fault it. Staff are always friendly and keep our spirits up. Always plenty to do from singing to quizzes. I like to knit and do jigsaws. I wouldn't want to live anywhere

My auntie loves her new home. She says there is always lots to do although she hasn't had a trip on the minibus yet. Activities are taking place all day throughout the home even at weekends when senior care staff will set up crosswords or quizzes.
My auntie likes to choose her meals each day from
the menu and if she doesn't like what is offered staff always offer her something different. She even has snacks in between meals to help with her weight gain.
The home is very clean and tidy. I have noticed how quickly her clothes are washed dried and returned back to her all nicely ironed.
The management are always friendly and willing to listen to any concerns.
Overall my family are over the moon with how happy and well-looked after my auntie is. Keep up the good work I know how hard you all work but you all just keep smiling. God bless you all

My mum has settled very well into Reuben Manor Care Home. She is very happy here and has made a lot of new friends and thoroughly enjoys the company. The staff are kind and caring in particular the Deputy Manager who is excellent, very focused and involved in the care aspect and well being of my mum
and all the residents that I have observed. The home is beautiful and well maintained throughout. Thank you so much to all the staff.
