Reuben Manor

Having been here for about a year, I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are polite, friendly and caring. I enjoy the activities which are regular and frequent and they have evolved to include my favorites and suggestions. The Chaplin is approachable, supportive and attentive whenever I felt the need. I'd appreciate more variety in the deserts, to include lighter options.

Excellent service and care. Highly recommend.

We visit with my uncle every Sunday and have always found every member of staff we have come into contact with, to be extremely pleasant and helpful. Reuben Manor is a lovely building, the lounges and bedrooms are welcoming, very well set out and kept to the highest of standards. There is a comprehensive activities programme provided, catering for a wide range of interests. There are many outstanding features in Reuben Manor - staff coming top of the list!

Reuben Manor is the best care home I have actively visited in our area. In recent years two family members have been residents in two local care homes and I can say that this one is by far superior. The staff are very professional. I am aware there are daily activities available to the residents. Also, the surroundings are really nice and this is also a contributing factor to making residents stay more enjoyable.

The staff here are really friendly helpful and caring. Everywhere is clean and tidy, my mam always looks smart and well looked after. Activities are well-planned and fun. The building is well-maintained and decorated to a high standard.

Reuben Manor was the only home we would have considered given the outstanding care our mother received here. Not only is the home warm, welcoming, and immaculate but the care our sister receives is second to none. The staff are attentive and caring, going above and beyond to make sure our sister is well looked after, safe, and comfortable, which in turn allows us to relax and have peace of mind. From the activities that are offered, to the supporting staff such as the cleaners, laundry, kitchen, and admin team, we are beyond happy with the provision. Particular mention to the carers is important, as our sister has settled more than we could have imagined or hoped for. Reuben Manor has turned what was an impossibly challenging and upsetting situation into a wholly positive experience for which our family is incredibly grateful.

Reuben Manor is like a luxury hotel and I don't think you could find more caring staff.

When my father-in-law (who was also a resident at Reuben Manor) passed away, the care and support they gave to us as a family was fantastic, allowing him to pass in comfort with people who cared and loved him around him. We really couldn't praise them enough. I have recommended it to others a couple of times and their relatives are also happy.

We are very pleased with the care my brother is receiving, Reuban Manor is always clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and efficient. It was pleasing to see the recent redecorating and replacement carpets work has been completed and looking good.

Reuben Maynor is a lovely sister home, Careers are amazing with my grandma, cleaners do a lovely job, activities coordinators are good at what they do, and the staff are really polite. My Grandma is well looked after.

It is always very emotional having to put a parent into care when they are no longer safe in their home. However, I am truly grateful to the staff - management, carers, cleaners, chefs and the ground staff - for the care and compassion they show every single day. My dad has settled in very quickly because of that compassion. Activities that he enjoys such as singing are always offered to him. Never underestimate the value of your role as carers - it is such an important one - and one carried out with such kindness, attention and compassion. Thank you all!

Reuben Manor is a safe, warm, well-equipped home with some excellent caring staff. The rooms are nice, although could do with new carpets. The bathrooms could also do with updating if I'm being critical. There are lovely gardens and communal areas and everything is kept very clean. Residents and relatives are treated with dignity and respect. There is a friendly, cosy atmosphere and I feel my mum is safe and well looked after here. Any issues we have had have usually been dealt with quickly. The only negative can be the food, which is nice but nothing special, which we were expecting for the price my mum pays. Overall we are very happy.

I’m a volunteer with WAG and Company North East Friendship Dogs, I’ve been visiting an elderly lady here for a number of weeks with my Sproodle dog Lily. I’m retired now but my previous occupation was a Registered Nurse in Mental Health. We love visiting here, the staff are always very welcoming, friendly and caring. The nursing home is beautiful and my client seems to have settled in very well and the care she receives is compassionate and of a very high standard.

Each time we have visited the home is warm and very clean and tidy. s a result we are very happy with his situation.

Superb facility! Can't speak highly enough of the care the staff provide. Everyone is so friendly, willing to help in any way they can. Personalised service and always available to answer questions where they can. This secure and safe environment provides peace of mind to us as relatives, knowing that our loved ones are cared for in a professional and sympathetic manner.

I had a very happy stay in Reuben Manor. The staff were pleasant and helpful, always looking after me very well. On the whole, I enjoyed the food, which was varied and tasty.
