View Full Details of St Pauls Care CentreMy 96 year old mother had a stroke. Prior to this she was active and sociable. Afterwards she was anxious, impatient and depressed. The first and second nursing homes asked her to leave as her behaviour was unbecoming. She ended up at St Pauls floor 1. Amazing, is all I can say. Staff are everywhere, they appear out of nowhere. Their empathy for their residents is astonishing. They look at who the person was, not is. No loneliness on floor 1.
Just wanted to say that St Paul's Care Home have been fantastic with the care afforded to our mum, during her time in the home. In particular the staff on the first floor have been exceptional in the support given not just to mum, but the wider family. They have been considerate, respectful, compassionate, sympathetic and empathetic. The engagement of the activities team, meant there was always a lot going on, which gave the floor a really good feeling. The facility is modern, very clean and well thought out. Mum's room was spacious with a nice outlook. This was a very difficult time for the family, but the care mum and we received could not be faulted.
Excellent service from management and staff. All staff were caring and pleasant to deal with.
St Paul's Care Home has been marvellous in caring for my relation. The staff are caring, capable and friendly. they develop a good relationship with the patients and treat them with dignity and respect. they listen to patient's families and keep you in touch with any developments. They are always pleasant and the facilities are good and the rooms a good size. Everywhere is clean. I cannot recommend them enough.
The compassion, empathy, respect & consideration shown by the team at St Pauls Care Centre to mum & us as mums family was incredible. The team are very experienced & extremely knowledgeable. Although mum was only there a short time, the team were very welcoming & caring. In particular, floor 1 where mum was. The way in which the team supported both mum and us through an extremely difficult time will never be forgotten! Thank you ALL the floor 1 team!
Quite satisfied with everything. Look after very well and happy with all the care.
The end-of-life care my mother received over the last three weeks of her life was exceptional. Every staff member was thoughtful, kind and caring to us as a family as well as to our mother. Whilst under the care of St Pauls Care Centre, my mother received exceptional personal and nursing care.
My mother has now been a resident at St.Pauls for 9 months and myself and my family have nothing but good things to say about the level of care she is receiving on a daily basis and also the clarity and quality of feedback we are getting on her health and general well-being. I would like to make a point of complimenting the expertise and compassion of the nursing team on the 2nd floor. I would also like to see the cleaning staff complimented on how well kept the premises are - always smelling fresh and odor free, which I know from past experience of other homes relatives have spent time in, is quite an achievement.
Mum always received excellent care at St Pauls. The staff were very caring and supportive, especially in her final days. She was always treated with such kindness and respect. Nothing was ever too much trouble. From the receptionists, to the carers to the nursing staff, we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
My father was a resident on the first floor of the dementia until at St Pauls care centre. All of the care staff, without exception, were fantastic in the care they provided to him throughout his stay. They were also considerate and compassionate to all our family and friends. We are very grateful to each and every one of them. The reception and management staff also deserve mention as they were helpful and kind. We We would recommend St Pauls unreservedly.
My mum had 13 weeks of outstanding palliative care at St Paul's. From our first look round to mum's final day the palliative team showed exceptional compassion, attentiveness and professionalism which was much appreciated at such a distressing time. They quickly got to know mum and her individual needs. They also got to know our wider family making a real effort to understand us and treated us with kindness and warmth throughout. Every staff member-from nurses to support workers all demonstrated a lovely caring manner. The whole unit was well run and organised. We were always kept in the loop, and the team made time to talk, answer questions, and just be there when we needed them. Nothing ever felt rushed or brushed aside. Their support helped us get through an incredibly hard time, and we're so thankful for everything they did. St Paul's really went above and beyond - not just for Mum, but for all of us as a family.
Complicated circumstances of elderly aunt living in England and me in Scotland, but compared to live in home carers this took a weight of my mind, I was no longer contacted about trivial things. Aunt quickly settled and was well looked after, clean and comfortable. When I visited staff were welcoming and engaging. Good communication when needed (esp one of the staff members SCN Ground Floor Unit). I was a little surprised around extra costs for eg hairdressing etc and escorts to hospital appts, so might be useful to highlight that more outwith small print. Might also be good (in the circumstances I found myself in from a distance) to have facility to order /purchase basic items then add to month fee- eg a supermarket delivery of toiletries as needed or on request. Otherwise all good and deserving of high score. Please don't change anything (or raise your charges!). Thank you for looking after my Aunt.
My mother was a resident in St Paul's care home for 3 yrs. The staff during that time were at all times caring and compassionate towards my mum. The home must have a very low turn over in staff as it was the same carers and nurses that cared for my mother over those 3 years. I can not praise them highly enough for the care and compassion shown from when she first arrived at the home until the end of life care provided. I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone who has to make the tough decision to look for a nursing home for their parent/relative
My aunt was always treated well, she had good and bad days. But the staff were always giving 100% every day! It really is 5 star! Thank you all for looking after her xx
The staff at St Paul's Card Centre were extremely friendly and provided wonderful care and support to my mother. I couldn't have wished for better care and was comforted in the fact that I knew she was being looked after and safe. I would recommend St Paul's Card Centre and I have no hesitation in giving them 5 stars!
The care received for my mum has been second to none. She has been very very happy. Thank you all so much, lovely caring people, lovely all of you!
Seeing how the staff care for our resident, and other residents reassures me that they do CARE. Every member of staff seems to have the very best interests of the residents and the way they interact is very heartwarming. Seeing how they are so patient and tolerant of bad behaviour is always done with kindness.
My mum was in St Paul's for three years. The care she received was exceptional, all the nurses and carers treated her with love and respect. In her final months she was treated with such dignity and love. I cannot recommend this home more highly. Everyone involved in the home are very special people.
St. Pauls Care Home is welcoming with excellent staff. My mum always looks clean, happy and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. Considering my mum was in another care home we are so pleased we found St. Pauls. Considering the poor care she received from the other care home.
Mum went to St Paul's during Covid. It meant that I hadn't been able to visit beforehand and for many months the only visits were between glass with microphones. So imagine my delight when these restrictions were lifted that I got to see her delightful room and meet properly her carers and nurses. I have absolutely no issues with Mum's care and wellbeing. It was obvious these were being met and I was very reassured by this. I was always kept fully informed of any changes in Mum, both physical and medical. The whole team were always friendly, caring and kind. My Mum's needs changed considerably during her time at St. Paul's but I never had any concerns. I would recommend St. Paul's to anyone considering nursing care for their loved one.
