My mother with Alzheimer's moved to Kew at the end of February after 8 months of me building a relationship with Liz whilst I was deciding when was the right time to move her. The care and guidance in this time and when she moved in were exceptional. So much so that there weren't any hiccups. My
mother's room is homely and all the communal areas are welcoming, we particularly like being able to spend time in the Bistro together. It has been a big change for my mother, leaving her own home and the independence that she had; but she has settled in well and it is lovely to see that so many of the staff are fond of her and they have realized the activities that my mum enjoys.
The biggest advantage of making the decision to move my mother to Kew is that I no longer worry about her; I know that she is safe and being well looked after.

I am overwhelmed by the quality of care and professionalism that I have found at Kew House. From the moment I met Liz at our first viewing, to moving my elderly cousin into the care home and every day since.
It's never easy making a decision to move someone out of their familiar home into a new
environment and with the challenges of dementia it's so much harder.
Liz and the team looked after me as much as they looked after Jill. The initial move was tough and they helped me with the challenges and managed my expectations through the very difficult first 3 months. Jill took a while to settle and make friends. She missed her home and her dog and was distressed and confused.
The team at Kew are kind and resilient and patient... and now it is a whole different situation. Jill has good food, medical care, activities and a social life, it is a pleasure to visit her (if she isn't too busy to see me)!
I get regular calls and advice. Jill and I cannot thank you all enough.

My father begrudgingly moved in mid January, he doesn't call it a home- it's the "hotel" and a 5 * at that.
He is so much happier, he can socialise or not as he chooses, 3 course dining with wine, laundry done within 24 hours, his medications looked after, no more worrying about upkeep of his
house or dealing with bills etc.
He's happy and safe, couldn't asked for anything more

The team at Kew House were fantastic from start to finish. Liz built a strong relationship with me, as I visited potential places to care for my elderly mother - she (Liz) was a joy to partner with throughout. My mother received excellent care on both the Oak (ground) floor and the Maple nursing
(second) floor. The rooms she stayed in were spacious, bright, clean and bright, as were the communal areas throughout Kew House. More importantly the staff were kind, professional and caring, supporting my mother (who had limited mobility and major hearing challenges). The staff in the dining rooms were particularly patient in offering her all different types of food and drinks. Whenever her family visited, the team could not do enough for us. I did a lot of research before choosing Kew House and everything I had heard was confirmed - it is an excellent care and nursing home.

Robert, who has vascular dementia and Altheimers, has settled in better than we could have hoped. He is much happier than he latterly was in his own home. He responds well to the quiet, peaceful, ordered surroundings. He likes all the staff, the food and the entertainments and indeed the other
residents on his floor - CEDAR. He likes the small dining rooms - that are reminisent of a home kitchen in many ways and the dining room is calm and not overwhelming with too much noise or activity. So far we feel very fortunate that we found Kew House.

The move from a domestic one-to-one care regime into a Care Home environment must be expected to produce certain challenges.
It is very early days for my wife at Kew House Wimbledon, but so far I have been impressed by the friendliness and courtesy of all staff with whom I have made contact and
the levels of care that I have observed to date. The facilities are excellent and the CQC Excellence rating very reassuring.
I am confident that, over time, my wife will adapt well to life at KH. Her appetite remains strong and sleep patterns seem good.

We are incredibly grateful to the team at Kew for the care and support shown to our family. My mum was able to celebrate her 90th birthday surrounded by love, and that would not have been possible without the dedication of the staff here. I travelled from Australia to be part of the celebration, and
seeing the warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness shown to her meant the world to me and our entire family. The staff created a beautiful atmosphere, provided the venue, decorations and food all of which made the day truly special. As a family, we are eternally thankful for everything you do. Our mum is in good hands.

My husband has received good care and KH has pulled in good local services. His pills have been changed through the advice. Of the local psychiatric nurse and the District nurse. He should however not have a pressure sore.

My cousin moved to Kew House 2.5 months ago. It has been a great experience for him so far. The home is beautifully appointed, well staffed with kind, caring people who really do their best for the residents. Kew also offers a range of activities with an exercise class most days and access to a
private physio who residents can book for a fee. Ither activities include quizzes, classical music appreciation, etc.
Outings are also arranged- Kew gardens light trail before xmas, Wimbledon xmas market, Remembrance day service at Wimbledon Memorial etc.
Residents are treated with dignity and given the opportunity to live their best life possible.

Hotel aspects of this home are excellent. But attention to the important matters of care are often lacking eg helping to use TV to enjoy favourite programmes. Also communications between staff often poor. Friends are too often filling the gaps where the home is failing.
08 December 2025
Happy polite kind and friendly - this was an environment in which my husband thrived, and a home where one could feel he was cherished
and cared for. As a resident receiving 24 hour nursing care - he was encouraged when he could to take part in some of the large variety of Activities thoughtfully
provided in the Home. Lovely summer flowers and beautiful surroundings, good food and compassionate care
one felt confident that he was experiencing the here the best of care.

Dad moved to Kew House in 22. From the start & throughout I found the staff positive and considerate. The layout with the Bistro at reception was his favourite hangout & I think the bustle of the reception helps to prevent the lifeless feeling some homes suffer from. It felt like life was
happening around you, not that you were on the side.
Dad's approach to dressing was sometime affected by his dementia. While we encouraged him to let staff assist him, they also fed back his wish to be independent. To my mind this showed there was space in the approach to people to honour their wish for dignity through independence, even if this may have looked odd to visitors or family.
The separate space to dine with family is also a strong point. To be in a quiet environment where Dad could clearly hear & be part of conversations were crucial for a happy visit for all. The staff serving clearly remembered family and it was always a pleasure to see them & enjoy the good food.

The care on Cedar Ward for the final days of my friend, who suffered from dementia, was exemplary. It could not have been more supportive, effective and compassionate. The staff were simply wonderful and we're immensely grateful to them all.

Mum says she would hate to be without Kew House. Sometimes she says she doesn't want to be here and wants to go home. Kew House deserves its CQC grading of 'outstanding'/ Mum enjoys sitting in the garden spaces with their many flowers outside of Kew House. Mum enjoys the excellent food at Kew House
and takes full advantage of the inclusive hairdressing and hand and face massage services. She enjoyed a recent outing to Kew Gardens. The location of Kew House in an urban setting means she can be taken out shopping and to cafes, which she has enjoyed throughout her life.

Dad is very settled at Kew House. He moved there after a stressful admission to hospital and Liz made the transition smooth and stress free. He is now eating well and being well cared for. Meals are 3 course nutritious and tasty. He also enjoys his regular haircuts, manicures and pedicures. He
enjoys going to the cafe to read the paper daily and there is a good space outside in the garden to have a coffee when the weather is nice. All the staff treat my dad like he is a member of their family, with respect, dignity and positivity. He also recently enjoyed a day trip to Brighton organised by Kew House. It is reassuring to be able to go about my day knowing he is well looked after. Thanks to all the staff there. I know how hard you are all working to make Kew House special.

My uncle moved into Kew House three months ago, and the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. At 91 years of age, this was a significant change for him, but the staff made the transition smooth and reassuring. They have been consistently kind, attentive, and understanding of his individual
needs, treating him with dignity and respect at every stage. The periodic reviews and genuine warmth shown by the Team has given us great confidence and peace of mind. It is clear that the staff truly care for their residents, and we are very grateful for the compassionate environment they provide.

A lovely care home with professional and attentive and friendly staff. Very nice atmosphere during all my visits thus far. I feel reassured that my dear brother with dementia is clearly settling in to a warm and supportive and caring place.
16 June 2025
Kew house has been caring for my mum since February 2025, and I couldn't be happier that she's in such safe and caring hands. Every member of staff takes responsibility for the welfare of residents, and genuinely feel like they are part of the Kew house community. The care and enrichment for
residents is excellent , as is communication, involvement and support for families. Kew have been incredibly responsive with mum, always one step ahead of her changing needs. They balance safety and compassion- and treat mum like an individual. They are truly expert at what they do, and I feel
enormously privileged to have my mum there.
16 June 2025
We have found the experience of moving my family member to Kew House to be handled very well. We experienced empathy and understanding from the team, and a real desire to get to know the individual rather than their being seen as just another resident.
The staff clearly take a lot of pride in the
cleanliness and organisation of the home, and get to know the residents well.
We've had a few blips in communication but overall are very happy with Kew House. It's certainly a lovely environment in comparison to many of the alternatives available.

We needed to find a safe and happy place for my mother in all haste at the end of 2024. The Client Relations Manager, was extraordinarily responsive --got back to us super quickly, arranged countless phone meetings and was kind and soothing to my mum in a time of crisis. Kew House has been
excellent. The staff are kind and patient, and there are all kinds of enrichment activities (my mother still talks about the visiting dachshunds, and the ducklings that were in the home for Easter!) The services are superb--hair, nails, physiotherapy, and now dental; and most of all, we as an international family have peace of mind because when a problem arises the team always alerts the doctor, who does weekly rounds, and my mum gets the care she needs.
