View Full Details of Cambridge Manor Care HomeStaff are great, helpful. I have previously stayed in Cambridge Manor Care Home to convalesce. I have decided to return as a permanent resident. Cambridge Manor have helped me back to independence twice before. I am hopeful that this will be the case in the future.
We moved our mother to the Cambridge Manor after a bad experience in another care home. The Manor was a vast improvement and we and more importantly, she has been very happy with the change. The staff are all extremely friendly and competent and look after her with great care, compassion and sensitivity. The rooms are lovely and the food is great. We would recommend to anyone looking round.
My husband entered the nursing home after a fall in which he broke his hip. He also has advanced Parkinsons Disease which causes difficulty with movement. In both cases he is catered for very well by all the staff. The home is very well run and in particular he really enjoys the gym. The patients dignity is very much respected by all, the activities are varied from day to day and the food is excellent. I would be very happy to recommend the home to everyone.
At the first sight, I was so pleased/impressed wtih the home, its cleanliness, the staff, the food/meals for the residents. Excellent! Keep it up! well done, love to see the attention my sister receives. I feel pleased. Thank God!
All staff I have met over the last couple of weeks have excellent, friendly and very helpful.
My sister was not all well and the staff treated her with respect and dignity. The room she had was always clean and the nurses came at every call. I could not ask for a better place for my sister to end her short life.
My husband was in Cambridge Manor for over 2 years during which he was given excellent care. I was always made to feel welcome when I visited.
Cambridge Manor was suggested to me by two friends and has lived up to their warm recommendations in its care of my wife, a dementia sufferer. It strives to offer a hotel-like experience and this is obvious right from the lobby, where there is an attractive cafe with free soft drinks, snacks and fruit. What has struck me most is the quality of the staff, who from senior managers to nurses are unfailingly kind, courteous and patient, and always have time for residents, even those who can at times pester them. The place is spotlessly clean, the food appealing and there is a wide range of activities. One particular feature is a very pretty garden at the back - surprising in a place that is close to the city centre - where residents can sit and take coffee or tea.
Very welcoming staff when we arrived, seemed to be lots of staff around, all smiling faces in what is an end of life place.
My father only spent one week in Cambridge Manor, but he was treated like an old friend by all the staff. He had been considering a move to Cambridge Manor but was unfortunately admitted to hospital. When it became clear that he wouldn't be returning home, the management and staff were amazing working with us to try to get him discharged to their care. All the family who visited were struck by the genuinely happy and friendly atmosphere.
We chose this Care Home for my mother after recommendation from a work colleague and couldn't have been more pleased. It is clean, very friendly, has lots of activities and events going on, and treats everyone with care and respect, including the families and friends of the residents. My mum wasn't there very long before she died due to illness, however the compassion and care all the staff showed us as a family, from the managers and nurses to the kitchen staff and cleaners, was exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Care Home.
I have been happy here. This is my second time I am here, and each time I get my life sorted out again, which they are very good at. They are very helpful and very pleasant to be in here. I would like to do anything myself rather than have someone do it for me, it is not because this is a bad place, on the contrary, everything here took care of me with lots of care, and I am grateful for it. This place helped me find myself and my life again.
Staff excellent, helpful, very happy with all the service. Staff very knowledgeable.
I came to this care home with my friend to see her grandmother, who is a resident. I had an overall great experience due to the kind staff and great facilities. When speaking to my friends grandmother i got an understanding of how happy and cared for she felt at this care home and how her needs were cared for.
When Mum went into the care home, doctors gave her 3 months to live, 17 months later she is still with us.
My sister has been in the care home for nearly two years. In that time, she has been looked after giving her a clean and caring place to live. She get a lot of support from all the staff that are caring for her.
Our son has settled in very well and is happy in his new environment, mainly due to friendly and helpful staff. Activities are not always of interest. Perhaps computer based sessions could be considered. Activities sometimes need to be stimulating for residents who are mentally aware.
This care home feels like a cut above the rest. The home is clean, smells nice, has tea and coffee available to visitors and most of all has warm, friendly, upbeat staff who seem to genuinely care about the residents.
I attended the Lunar New Year celebration at the care home while visiting my friend. The care home was brimming with festive atmosphere, featuring performances by local artists, a face-painting stall, and a Chinese dumpling-making demonstration with tasting. The entire home resonated with music, laughter, and joy. It was heartwarming to see everyone - residents, visitors, and staff alike - thoroughly enjoying themselves. The Mayor of Cambridge graced the event with his presence and delivered a wonderful speech. A particularly touching moment occurred when he placed his chain of office on a resident, which was met with enthusiastic applause. I was deeply impressed by the attentive and professional staff. What a vibrant care home this is! I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone.
My experience has been excellent. The carers are wonderful. Care very much about the welfare of the clients. I feel very fortunate to have been here!
