My friend has recently moved to Lavender Court. I visit her very often. My friend feels settled there. The home feels calm and clean. The staff treat residents with respect and speak kindly. The manager is approachable and always ready to help. I feel confident in the care she receives. Thank you Lavender Court team!
On arriving felt as ease with staff being friendly and welcoming, providing myself and my family with information about facilities and whats available and who to ask if I require anything else.
Needed a nursing home for mum and dad after the care home they were in could no longer meet their needs. Looked at three and settled on Lavender Court. They are part of the Somerset Care group, as was their previous care home. I was hoping LC was going to be as good and so far they have met all expectations. The staff are engaging, the homes is clean and well presented mum and dad like the food and are happy the manager is great and looks for solutions to some tricky situations. I know they are in safe hands.
My sister has been in full time care with very complex needs at Lavender Court, and the level of care and commitment by staff is second to none. Everyone is positive and caring and I've seen my sister completely change into a happy healthy women since she's been there. She has made lots of friends and all her medical needs have take care of. First class.
My mum went into Lavender Court for a weeks respite care. The staff were very welcoming made mum feel at home. Mum was very happy with her room and loved the fact she could look out of her bedroom window and into the garden area. Mum said she happy in the home and thanked me for finding her a lovely home. Mum enjoyed attending the activities and chatting to other residents and staff. As for me mum was very well looked after and the staff are brilliant and kind.
Generally we have had a positive experience at Lavender Court. Mum is well cared for and I/ we feel she is safe and secure. The senior staff always ensure we are kept informed of any problems/ issues and seek to resolve them swiftly. A couple of points of constructive feedback: - - more encouragement for mum to attend activities and a more varied programme of events. - ensure food comes at meal times without the need to wait or it being cold. - a quicker response to her toiletry needs.
Found the home to be excellent treating my mother with dignity and compassion. The best review I can give is my mother spoke highly of all staff and how she was treated in what would have been difficult circumstances for her.
Dad feels comfortable, safe and well looked after. The staff are warm and welcoming and responsive. There is a relaxed vibe but a very professional approach. The communication from Lavender Court is very good we receive regular updates on dad's health and the staff are always happy to spend time discussing his needs.
From the first telephone call Lavender Court has supported dad and family with a smooth transfer from hospital to Lavender Court in a professional and caring way. Procedures of transfer, funding and future care explained clearly. Staff at Lavender Court always friendly and helpful. There is a happy, caring feel at the home. Exceptional management and staff throughout home. Well done Lavender Court and thank you for looking after my dad.
Overall my experience has been positive. The care my husband receives has been sufficient for his needs. The staff are kind and helpful, communication is generally very good and necessary for the family to be kept up to date.
The care and consideration shown to my wife by the team at Lavender Court is a source of relief and satisfaction. Their ability to cope in sometimes very trying circumstances fills me with admiration and respect. Care for dementia sufferers is always difficult but the team go above and beyond and I am so grateful.
Today I spoke with the manager about a few issues and found her to be very approachable and friendly. She answered all my queries satisfactorily. One of my concerns was the scaffolding in particular around the courtyard, meaning no access for several months, whilst the weather is good. I was reassured this area will be completed first to allow residents access as soon as possible.
As a visitor - very pleased and helpful! Clean and comfortable.
My mum has been coming to Lavender Court for day care for a couple of months now. All the staff have been fantastic. They dealt with a tricky incident with her with care and professionalism. A big should out to all. The entertainment staff who also make mum laugh and smile. Thank you to everyone.
My aunt moved into Lavender Court 1 year ago. She has settled in well and seems happy. We are so pleased she is here. For the first time in years we are confident that she is being well looked after, safe and and happy this is a great relief for us.
LC is a beautiful care home where Mum was cared for. The only flaw was being falsely told that LC would accept adult social care funding but in reality, it was not. Mum would have still been there otherwise, along with the friends that she had made. I cannot fault the care and attention Mum had.
My mum receives such amazing care at Lavender Court. She loves all the staff who look after her so much. Without exception, staff are gentle, kind, caring and respectful towards Mum and her needs as well as us as a family. My sisters and I thank you all so much for the incredible work you do. Please know how much we appreciate it. We know that Mum is safe, warm and cared for.
My mother is so well looked after. She is very happy and really likes the food. Her room is so nice and looks out onto the courtyard. It makes me feel so pleased to know I don't have to worry about her anymore. I can visit anytime and I'm made welcome. I was so worried when she lived alone and was so ill. Her health has really improvied. Thank you all.
I have always found the caregivers extremely kind to my husband. He always looks clean and well cared for. If there is a problem someone will always ring to put me in the picture.
My husband moved from a previous care home to Lavender Court on 11th June he died there on 23rd July. The premises were always spotless and the staff were most considerate. If I have a complaint it is that there is not sufficient staff. When my husband was critically ill it did seem an age for help to arrive. Remembering those weeks he was there I recall, his room was facing properties on Roman Road and often we had to close the curtains and put the lights on as we were overlooked by people opposite.
