Lavender Court

I feel very safe here. The permanent care staff are superb and definitely 5 star, unfortunately there have been a lot of agency carers who have been more of a mixed bag. Everyone is trying their best, but it has caused a few hiccups. The management team are absolutely incredible and I cannot fault them in any way!

My dad is currently receiving palliative care at Lavender Court and has been here for a month now. The care and attention given from all the staff has been exceptional. Bar one incident raised and dealt with we are very happy. Dad is comfortable and happy, enjoying the care he is receiving, enjoying the good even with his decreased appetite. We would recommend Lavender Court to anyone needing their care.

From the very first call enquiring about emergency respite care, to the day of discharge some 4-6 weeks later, the support and care given to all the family can be summed up in one word - amazing. In the short time that Mum resided at Lavender Court, the improvement in her general health and well-being was evident within a few days. All of the staff are incredible people and not only ensured that she was afforded the highest level of support - also made sure we were all ok too! I genuinely cannot find anything to criticise.

Staff were polite, attentive and caring. My mums dignity was respected at all times. Their communication with myself was excellent through out my mum's stay. The building itself was kept to a high standard and the facilities were great should my mum have chose to use them.

The care and respect I recieved were exerlent and I was made to feel welcome by all staff and residents

Mum is really enjoying her stay. Staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Activities are well coordinated and varied. Food is of a good quality. Most importantly residents views are listened to and then implemented where possible. A very well run home. Thank you to all staff.

My mum spent her second time at Lavender Court for respite care. My mum loves staying here as she really enjoys chatting to the other residents she is with and the staff, who have looked after her so well. I would highly recommend Lavender Court as the care is excellent and the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. Thank you Lavender Court for all you do for mum, I am so glad we found you.

I am very pleased with how well my mum has settled in here. She has not been in here long, and she is happy and settled. It is lovely for us as a family to be able to go home, not have to worry if she will be okay, because the care is more than we could have hoped for. I have to point out that Ronnie the nurse is one of the most caring men I have ever met; he is an asset to your home.

My father-in-law is currently on end of life in Lavender Court. The staff have been amazing. Can't do enough for my father-in-law. He's been treated with dignity and respect. They are also taking care of us. Always on hand to answer any questions or concerns we have. As a family it is a very difficult time but it has been made so much easier here at Lavender Court. We can't thank them enough. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to place a loved one in a home.

After visiting a couple of home. I choose Lavender Court everythink is perfect and clean. We new as a family mum would be well cared for safe and secure all the staff are fantatic nothing is to much trouble they all make you feel very welcome. The senior staff always keeps you informed of any problems and you can visit any time of the day.

Very good experience at Lavender Court who provided end of life care for my mum. I was very impressed with the friendly and welcoming attitude of all the staff. The care shown to my very poorly mum was outstanding. Also very warm and clean environment.

I have been made to feel very welcome when I got here and was very well informed of facilities, activities and a food menu available to me and for my family when they visited. I was pleased to find how comfortable my room and shower facilities have been.

I have been treated with a lot of compassion and respect. Since I arrived here on 18/11/2025 the staff have been very polite and attentive. The food is really nice. Staff always check on me and assist me with making my bed and ensuring my room is neat and tidy. The place feels like home. The manager and clinical manager make time to come and see if I'm settling in well and are always available if I need anything. Overall all the the staff have so far made me feel at ease and have made me feel very welcome.

My friend has recently moved to Lavender Court. I visit her very often. My friend feels settled there. The home feels calm and clean. The staff treat residents with respect and speak kindly. The manager is approachable and always ready to help. I feel confident in the care she receives.

Needed a nursing home for mum and dad after the care home they were in could no longer meet their needs. Looked at three and settled on Lavender Court. They are part of the Somerset Care group, as was their previous care home. I was hoping LC was going to be as good and so far they have met all expectations. The staff are engaging, the homes is clean and well presented mum and dad like the food and are happy the manager is great and looks for solutions to some tricky situations. I know they are in safe hands.

My sister has been in full time care with very complex needs at Lavender Court, and the level of care and commitment by staff is second to none. Everyone is positive and caring and I've seen my sister completely change into a happy healthy women since she's been there. She has made lots of friends and all her medical needs have take care of. First class.

Found the home to be excellent treating my mother with dignity and compassion. The best review I can give is my mother spoke highly of all staff and how she was treated in what would have been difficult circumstances for her.
