View Full Details of Rivermere Care Home - Avery HealthcareThe staff are incredibly nice. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. From the moment I walked in until I left, I felt so at home and so wonderfully welcomed. I was able to take part in some activities which was a lot of fun. I had the privilege of eating lunch one of the days while visiting mum. The food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for making my visit with mum so amazing. I always look forward to visiting her in such a lovely welcoming care facility.
Carers are very good, friendly and helpful. Food is poor, I have daily heartburn to much seasoning and sauces. Too many agency staff. They are not as good as regular staff.
Rivermere provides a safe and comfortable environment for it's residents. The staff are caring, the rooms clean and spacious, the public spaces open and invite.
We recently attended an Oktoberfest event at the care home with my father. The staff had clearly thought about what to offer on the day and were present. There was plenty of German food available which we enjoyed. I must add that we appreciate the care of my father by all the staff, is wonderful.
I was not looked forward to leaving my home but I was delighted to find how happy I was to have been staying at Rivermere! Everyone was so kind and caring and also helpful when I got lost! (leaving the lift on the wrong floor!)I had everything I might need in my room and all the food was really good so meals were enjoyable. I didn't take part in many of the activities because it was lovely to have time to read my books!
I would single out the staff at Rivermere for mention - every member I have encountered has been warm, welcoming and gone out of their way to be helpful. When it comes down to it, what is more important in a care home than friendly faces?
All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone knows my mum's name and she is treated well and with respect at all times. Great programme of entertainment. Thank you for taking care of my mum.
More carers are desperately needed. You are very short-staffed here.
My sister-in-law lived at Rivermere for nine months until June of this year. Family and friends were all very impressed at how welcoming and friendly the Home felt when we visited. A lot of thought had gone into the decor, the bedrooms and lounges felt homely, and there was a good variety of activities for residents to enjoy. We also noticed how kind, caring and patient staff were with all the residents. The Manager of the Meadow Floor and her staff were always very approachable and generous with their time when we had questions about how to respond to my sister-in-law's needs. We were therefore very sad when we had to move my sister-in-law to a nursing home because her dementia had deteriorated further. However, Rivermere's staff were helpful and supportive during this process.
Mum has a beautifully appointed apartment on the first floor with great views and a sunny aspect. It was important for her that she could furnish it with all of her own things to make it home from home. She has settled in well and enjoys the wide variety of activities and outings arranged, including the extensive gardens, weather permitting, keep fit, crafting and musical afternoons to name but a few. There are lovely well kept communal areas throughout the home including a cinema, library, coffee shop and dining room which make it feel very special. Staff are very caring, helpful and there is a good homely atmosphere and vibe throughout with visitors always welcome at any time. Importantly she has the companionship and friendship of many other like-minded residents and has made some good friends. Residents are able to live as independently or not as needed which is a real plus. I cannot recommend Rivermere Care Home highly enough if you are looking for residential care for a loved one in the Sevenoaks area.
My mother has now been at Rivermere Care Home for nearly 3 years. She always says that she is very happy there. She thinks the staff are wonderful, and she appreciates their friendly and caring manner. Whenever I come to the Home, I am also impressed with their caring attitude toward all the residents. I have lunch occasionally at Rivermere with my mother and have enjoyed the choices available. They are all very tasty and beautifully cooked.
My mother and father entered Rivermere Care Home in May 2022 and shared a room until my mother died on Christmas Eve 2024. My father then moved into a smaller room, but still on the ground floor with a view of the garden. Over Christmas my wife and I went over to Rivermere for a very good lunch with my father on Christmas Day and again on New Year's Day. My sister and her husband joined my father for another good lunch on Boxing Day. It is good to be able to join residents on special occasions such as these. The staff and facilities are very good and treat my father with the dignity that a 97 year old deserves. There are regular quarterly meetings held by management with the residents and then later that day with relatives. These meetings keep residents and relatives abreast of issues in the home and forthcoming developments. They also allow residents and relatives to raise any issues or concerns with the running of the home.
I have been very impressed with the kindnesses and professionalism of the team who care for my wife. She has been treated with respect and dignity throughout her stay at Rivermere. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to others.
Caring attentive staff in a superb facility with lovely gardens and an excellent atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble for the helpful carers and other support staff who provide a wealth of activities to keep mind and body in good shape.
Rivermere Care Home is where my 91-year-old dad is currently. He had a traumatic year last year and my sister and I decided it was time for him to be safe in a home. We went to see a few but this one I loved from the moment I walked in. A beautiful big open welcome reception.. with extremely friendly and competent receptionists. It's warm, smells lovely and he is very well looked after. If we have had any concerns, these are dealt with really quickly and professionally. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!
My dad came into your home for holiday respite care whilst family members were on holiday. We were impressed with the care he received however on occasions he did run out of clothes because his dirty clothes had not been laundered. Also, he came home with some clothes that did not belong to him and some of his were missing, even though they were clearly marked. His teeth were not removed at night or cleaned and his hearing aids were not put in correctly, more training is needed. But overall we were happy.
Rivermere is a very caring and enjoyable home. My aunty settled in very quickly and made friends immediately. Carers are very attentive and provide a very high level of care. All the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Couldn't have wished for a better transition to care for my aunt.
Excellent facilities and plentiful caring staff. The rooms are well furnished and the grounds beautifully kept. There are a broad range of activities provided every day and a varied menu. This is the way all care homes should be!
I am very impressed with the genuine kindness and cheerfulness of the staff. There is an authentically positive vibe.
From the moment you arrive, Rivermere feels like a home, a caring home. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. The gardens are delightful with easy strolls to a variety of shady places to sit and talk. I am so glad my mother has found a place that feels like home after trying two others.
