Our mother first came to Sherrell House for a respite period following an injury. She received such wonderful care and attention, that the term was extended to a trial period. She continued to thrive and eventually we realised that this should become a permanent place of residence for her. The care
she received was excellent and her accommodation and communal facilities were outstanding. Two years on and our opinion is still the same. Whilst mum's illness has progressed, her care has increased and she still manages to take part in the activities, aided. All the staff are truly wonderful and caring and do the best they can for all their residents. It really is a wonderful home and we know we are very lucky to have found it. Thank you!!!

Knowing he is always cared for and safe is a huge relief as it's not always easy to just drop everything.
Mixing with other patients and with staff members always laughing and joking makes
Life normal.
I can always phone or talk to members of staff and get an update and that makes life easier
for me .

I can't thank all the wonderful people at Sherrell House enough.
My Mum came to Sherrell House after being confused, frightened and lonely at home following the death of my father. She was instantly greeted by a friendly team and has been treated with care, warmth, dignity and respect from day one.
Mum enjoys all the activities put on for the residents and has blossomed since being there, her confidence has grown and while she still struggles with dementia she no longer feels like the odd one out, she has made lovely friends to sit and chat with and all the nurses are proactive in making sure residents are happy.
The cleanliness of the home is outstanding, every area of the home is kept spotlessly clean and fresh.
It's a blessing to know Mum is safe, happy and well looked after.

At a recent 'bake off' competition at Sherrell House residents and tiheir families were invited to donate their contribution of a home made cake. Staff arranged a garden party where we enjoyed the opportunity to dance with the
residents, singing and clapping to an amazing singer. The whole
afternoon was so much fun for everyone.
It was great to be part of this event. We support events when we can to support the staff as they do so much for everyone.
It was followed by sitting and chatting with residents and their families and tasting amazing cakes along with a cuppa.
My sister really enjoyed herself and chatted with families there. They asked her if she was happy at Sherrell House. She replied "I would recommend this place to anyone and the staff are so lovely" A compliment to Sherrell House indeed.
It's so reassuring my sister is safe and cared for to such a high standard.
Further more the staff create a family atmosphere and they include us to be part of it. Amazing!

My Dad had a great time at Sherrell House. He was there for a few months while his flat was being renovated and really enjoyed all the activities. The staff were lovely and the food was great too. He misses everyone there.

My mother is happy to be a resident. The room is comfortable and the nurses are always on hand to help, any problems they always solve. The room is kept very clean as well the public areas. Overall the care is excellent, especially to nurses the building very clean, the residents are kept engaged in
activities.

My 87 year old mum came to this lovely care home in November 25. I was a bit apprehensive at first,because she didn't want to stay. She wanted to go 'home'. But she has settled in lovely. All thanks to the wonderful staff, and she loves the food. Actually put on some weight. All good and positive

A pleasant, welcoming environment, professional reception staff. Some staff members quite loud, which can be alarming for residents. Staff team leaders approachable for personal requests.

The whole team, management, nurses and carers are efficient and approachable.
The care, respect and kindness my mum is shown is amazing.
It's not always easy leaving a family member to be looked after by other people but I feel confident that my mum could
not be cared for any better than she is now.

Well done! Running a Nursing Home for end-of-life care is extremely difficult. However, the quality of care from staff, after Mum fell was exceptional.
I thought Mum wouldn't walk afterwards, yet she has; the gentle encouragement and perseverance she received made all the difference. We are so

I can not praise all the staff enough at Sherrall House for the excellent care they provided for my father in his very short stay while in your care.
My father was moved from hospital to Sherrall House and sadly passed away a week later with his family at his side. During my father's time at
Sherrall House all his needs were constantly met, he was treated with compassion, respect and dignity until the very end.
All the staff at Sherrall House took so much time to support our family too while they were looking after my father. Nothing was never a problem for the outstanding staff who work incredibly hard.
Jane, The Home Manager has a wonderful home which she should be proud of and an amazing team who truly care for their residents and families.

My husband was only with you for a very short while. He and us his family were made very welcome from the moment we walked in the front door. All staff were very helpful and so very kind. It was very difficult for our family to accept that our father needed to move into a care home, due to his rapidly declining health and dementia. We were very stressed about choosing the correct home and are very happy to say that in the two months our father has been in Sherrell House, we have
always been pleased with our choice.
We viewed many care homes in the area and beyond, but felt our father would be happy at Sherrell House as it felt comfortable and homely, but also very professional with regards to the level of care provided.

Excellent service, overall Sherrell very warm and friendly. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Carers, nurses, activity coordinators, cleaners etc...Since being here as a resident have found Sherrell to be a lovely care home.

I didn't know a service for people with dementia can be this good. Family care is often thought to be the best for our parents in my culture . But this care home does better than I dreamed possible . They allow visits from all relations , provide coffee and tea for guests & most of all. They are
looking after my mother very well. They also accommodate for special dietary requirements and all the residents here as so happy as now they have lots of new friends to chat with.
It's a bit like a 5 star all inclusive hotel but with medical teams ready for any incidents.
One staff member in particular was my contact there , but all the staff are exceptional so thank you .

My mother has been a resident here for 6 months. I have found the staff very caring and proffessional. They go a step further and nothing is a problem.
We are very pleased that my mother is being cared for in such a lovely home. The staff and management are excellent.

Have found all the staff friendly and helpful; they are respectful and caring to the residents.
The food is lovely, especially the soup each evening - obviously home made.
Both the dining room and lounge are light and airy; and like the rest of the home, clean and tidy.

My Dad had a great time at Sherrell House. He was there for a few months while his flat was being renovated and really enjoyed all the activities. The staff were lovely and the food was great too. He misses everyone there.

It was very difficult for our family to accept that our father needed to move into a care home, due to his rapidly declining health and dementia. We were very stressed about choosing the correct home and are very happy to say that in the two months our father has been in Sherrell House, we have
always been pleased with our choice.
We viewed many care homes in the area and beyond, but felt our father would be happy at Sherrell House as it felt comfortable and homely, but also very professional with regards to the level of care provided.

My mother has been a resident here for 6 months. I have found the staff very caring and proffessional. They go a step further and nothing is a problem.
